As Hunter watched Ian dive down, crashing into the earth and then embracing his Leviathan side, he closed his eyes and felt his darker nature. As he snarled, his teeth turned into fangs, and two long horns sprouted out from his forehead, coming out at a forty five degree angle for a few inches before turning to go straight up at a ninety degree angle another six inches. His eyes became pitch black, and as he fluttered, his feathers began shedding from his wings, dissolving into dust as they floated down to the ground.
Finally Ian broke through the earth and began rising in his reptilian form. Looking at him, all Hunter could think was that he looked a lot like a Kaiju from the old Japanese movies. As he watched, many of the goblins began rushing towards Ian, like ants attacking a frog. He then smelt the fear from all of the goblins, the prisoners, and the extreme amounts of fear in the goblins that were trying to run away. Hunter smiled sinisterly as he raised his hands and green flames of Hell rose up surrounding the encampment and cutting off any means of retreat for the deserters.
Hunter than flew down and landed on the outside of the flames, and began walking through the fire as he laughed. The flames parted for him and as he looked at the goblins, he saw terror that was capable of driving any sane creature into insanity. He just smiled as he lashed our with his labrys', the green flames resealing the hole he created and also attaching some of it's flames onto his labrys blades. As he whipped his labrys around, the goblins who were hit, even if it was a small scratch, green flames burst from their injuries and began consuming them alive.
The goblins that were closer to the center of the camp and that were also planning on trying to run away, saw the demon walking towards them, and seeing how he didn't need to stress with absurd attacks, many of the goblins turned around and began running towards Ian, clambering over one another in the hopes to get away from Hunter. Many of them in turn clashed with Spartacus' Tree Warriors and ended up not making it far enough before they were slaughtered.
Panic and confusion spread across the remaining goblin horde, by now many of their kind had been slaughtered, and death was not only on all sides, but amongst them. The remaining few goblins, their numbers not even breaking five hundred compared to the tens of thousands they began with, tried to hide amongst their fallen kin. They covered themselves in blood, and the corpses, they dug down into the earth trying to hide. Hunter smirked and closed his eyes, pulling up his Divinity.
[I want to be able to let my allies know where the enemy are.] All three of his Divine Lines rippled and then a red streak appeared in all of them. When he opened his eyes, he used his senses of smell and hearing to pick up where all the remaining goblins were hiding before he condensed his energies, causing them to subtly glow red, though they themselves did not see their glow. Hunter watched as small groups of Tree Warriors began walking out from the circle, heading towards were all the marked goblins were hiding. Hunter smiled and then flew over to Ian, making sure to reach there before Spartacus and the women. He then calmed his emotions and focused on making his appearance angelic. Feathers sprouted all across his wings, and his horns shrunk until they entirely disappeared back into his forehead. His eyes lost their soulless luster and slowly dimmed down before he put his blindfold back on.
Spartacus walked up, followed by all the women, and the vanguard of Tree Warriors. The brothers looked out, watching as the red outlines of the goblins became less and less as they were hunted down. Spartacus turned to the Tree Warriors and the women and spoke. "Tree Warriors, I want you to help these ladies get up to the top of my brother so they can safely ride back to Adenville."
Hearing this, Ian began to descend, laying his belly across the ground, and allowing for his back to be lower so it wasn't as difficult of getting the women onto him. The Tree Warriors began grabbing a woman or a girl, and began walking up Ian's side, using their root like feet to act like vines and cling to the indents between his scales. Once they got the woman to the top, they would drop down and grab another and begin the ascension again.
By time they were a fourth of the way through on lifting the women, the remaining goblins were finally hunted down, allowing for the fifty hunting Tree Warriors to come back to them and then begin helping lift as well. Hunter and Spartacus watched over them, making sure to be ready incase a woman fell, so they could fly up quickly and catch them. A Tree Warrior walked by Hunter, and he caught the familiar scent of the shop keeper. He looked over, making eye contact with her before she looked away scared.
Hunter walked up, and patted her head. "You are safe now, no need to be afraid."
She looked at him before tears streamed down her face. "Where were you all to protect us? Why did you come now after we suffered and lost so many people we loved? Why now?"
Hunter didn't say a word as he watched her cry. He only shook his head slightly before he turned and walked back to stand with Spartacus. Spartacus leaned in to whisper into his ear. "When I attacked the center, all I saw was level three goblin generals, no king. Once we get these women loaded up and heading back towards Adenville, I want you to hunt down that piece of shit and bring him back to me, alive if possible."
Hunter nodded as he smirked sinisterly, causing some of the women who were watching to shiver in fear as they wondered what the angels were discussing. After a couple of hours, they finally finished loading all the women onto Ian's back. The Tree Warriors climbed up and latched onto Ian's sides, ready to drop down incase anything tried to attack him. Spartacus nodded his head towards Hunter before he flew up next to Ian's head.
"Let's go back for now. Hunter is going to find us the goblin king. We got a problem though. The same problem when we dealt with the Feniri." Spartacus said.
Ian rumbled questionably as he began walking towards Adenville. As they left the encampment, the women looked back and saw that the green flames were not only not dying down, but were not growing or changing; just sitting there encircling the field of slaughter.
Spartacus guessed what he was asking and so explained what he found and what he was thinking. "When I attacked the goblin generals, I found that they were level three while all the other goblins were level one. If I'm not mistaken the goblin king will be a stronger level, and just like the Feniri, they are evolving to become stronger than what they normally are."
Ian shook his head as he heard this, not doing anything else except for walking continuously and sturdily towards Adenville's ruins. The women watched the forested hills and the gentle fields pass as the stars lightly illuminated the night. They wondered what the angel and the giant monster were discussing, but they were too fearful to ask. After an our, thanks to Ian's long legs and quick pace, they finally saw the ruined walls of Adenville. At this time, the women could see a bright glowing light floating above the city.
Spartacus smiled as he looked at Orion in the sky. "Looks like Orion's activated his ability just enough to fix up this mess." Ian nodded as he too looked at Orion's glowing light. When he got close enough to the town walls, he lowered himself and the Tree Warriors lowered the women down to the ramparts, and then the women slowly headed towards the church, and the center of the town, as they couldn't think as to what to do with all the rubble.
Dismounting from Ian was far faster than climbing and so after a quarter of an hour all the women and girls were either on the wall or in the street. Sobs could be heard as they looked at all the slaughtered men, boys, and elderly. Everyone knew somebody in the mess and so tears of grief were falling everywhere. Spartacus watched over, than noticed a commotion as Alexi, leading the group of adventurers, and Stephanie, leading the family, came rushing over to help the women and girls.
They slowly lead everyone back to the center of the town, and packed them all into the street of the church. Looking up, everyone was able to see Orion looking back down at them. He smiled and waved a greeting towards the crowd, and the women began to feel comfort flow into their heart. The little girls stopped their crying, and smiles spread across everyone's faces as they entered a serene state. Orion looked up towards the North as a large multicolored ball of Divinity came flying into his out stretched hands.
The brothers chuckled as Orion swatted the orb down towards the crowd and watched as it dispersed, every sliver of Divinity returning to it's original being. By now Ian had returned to his angel state, and he and Spartacus joined Orion up in the sky.
"Who would've thought that it would be cured like that." Orion stated as he watched the crowd of women grimace in slight pain, but thanks to his PEACE OF PARADISE they didn't feel too much pain, nor did they cry out in shock, still just standing there blissfully.
"What do you mean little brother?" Ian looked at him confusedly as he also watched over the crowd of women, feeling a little spooked at their reaction.
"There appears to be a special sliver of Divinity that's solely focused around the sexes. For virgins, the sliver is massive, for non virgins their Divine Sliver is not as big, however if they are forcefully raped, or coerced into unwilling sex, that Divinity is taken from them and, I guess bestowed upon the person who wronged them. Since Hunter can manipulate Divinity, he collected all of their stolen Divinity Slivers, and sent it to us. By the way, why isn't Hunter here?" Orion spoke as the brothers watched the pain finally recede from the women's faces.
"Wait, are you saying that you two just returned a lot of those women's virginities?!" Ian looked at Orion funny as he slowly registered what his little brother had said.
"No, only those who were virgins before the goblins defiled them were returned to that state, as for the other women returning their Divinity Sliver to them caused them to go back to an unpregnant state only. Meaning if the goblins did knock any of them up, that life form doesn't exist any more... physically anyways, I don't know about spiritually." Orion spoke as his hands began to glow as he started casting HEAVEN'S FAVOR onto the entire city.
At this time the women came out of their serene state and they watched in awe as the city ruins began to rebuild themselves. Rubble flew back up into pillars, walls, and roofs, and the buildings that had been entirely burnt down by fire became rebuilt in a swirling storm of ash. After the city was rebuilt, everyone watched as the light began focusing rays onto the dead civilians and after a short while they witnessed the blood pouring back into the people, their wounds healing instantly, and then they began to breathe again.
Shock spread across the crowd as everyone couldn't grasp what was happening, then when it finally registered, the entire town rang out in cheers of joy. The streets became crowded and frantic as everyone went to places where they could find their loved ones, the adventurers and the Tree Warriors did their best to keep it orderly, but were unable to expand the orderliness to beyond the center of the town. As the sun rose on a new day, everyone looked up towards the three angels that were floating in the sky, and they watched as the three began their descent towards the church door. By time they landed, the bishop had came out and was smiling as he sent prayers to the gods.
Stephanie stayed next to the family as she looked up at the three brothers wondering where Hunter was and if he was safe or not. [I swear if that boy died, I'm going to kill him.] She clutched Thunder Shaker tightly as worry flashed in her heart. Orion looked over towards her and gave her a smile with a thumbs up, and she calmed down as she understood that Hunter was at least fine and safe. [If he's safe than what is he doing?!]
A large winged shadow flew over the crowd, and with a gasp the crowd saw another angel descend towards the church. However, this angel was carrying something in one of his arms. As they looked closely, they realized that the creature the angel brought was the monster that had just caused the recent trauma, the goblin king himself.
