After they managed to slip past all those people they exit the muesum. "Come on this way to where my home is." Shang says waving them to follow him. Shang was one of the survivors that saved them and apparently the leader of the small group. They came upon a small shack where he did a quick look around before closing the door. Kila sits on a chair nearby, "so, do you know what caused the mayor to go crazy?" She asked. The people shake their head. So basically they are going in blind, she needed a culprit and she needed one today. "It's clear the Mayor is not at fault here that's what Kila's saying." King Jero says when they looked at her with confusement.
"Are you saying someone could be controlling the Mayor? Who on Earth could do that?" Shang's sister, Shea asks. That's a good question and she thought they would know. It looks like this won't be as easy as she hoped. Cannible citizens being controlled by someone who is controlling the mayor. This is just too much. Doctor An could feel a headache coming along just thinking about it. So they were stuck basically. No leads and no idea who could be controlling the Mayor. Even if they left to go find where the mayor was located, they would be noticed immediately.
Kila stands up and looks out the window only to stumble backwards at the face that was pressed against the window. The sound of crashing from a window in the back meant they were found. They were also surrounded. "Shit! What do we do? Is there another way out of here?" One of the large men was panicing. It's something to see since he was so big. Shang shakes his head. Kila frowns as she realized that this was not a good thing. "We'll have to do some harm." King Jero says grabbing Kila's hand and pulling her towards him. She was completely caught off guard and realized she couldn't move away.
He summons his mana and uses a blast of wind to blow the door and some citizens out of the way. They all ran as fast as they could until they came to another hidden place. Kila finally manages to force herself out of Jero's hold. But instead of getting mad at him something else was bothering her. She turned to the ones that were leading them to safety, but she knew with all her being that the person controlling everything must be with them. One of these few was the villain, but who? If she said anything then there would be a chance for that person to only deny it. Evidence is best. After all she could be wrong.
King Jero pulls her out of the ears of the others, "that face you're making. Does that mean you're having the same thought as me?" He whispers. "that someone here is the bad guy?" She asks. He nods and peeks over to the others. "Then yeahm we're thinking the same. Should we tell Doctor An and Ara?" Kila asked. He seemed to be thinking about this, "no. I doubt they would be able to keep it a secret. Beside Ara is the type to take everyone hostage without a care. I think we should continue as is until we're certain that there is a traitor." He says. Kila knew he was right, she had no choice but to agree.
Suddenly she felt his arm by her head as he looked down at her. It was that moment she became aware that they were really close. Their bodies pratically touching. Kila turns her face away, perhaps she should move. Instead he leans closer to her, "what is it?" He asked his breath warm against her face.
*Budump*
No, no. Heart calm down. Remember, he's a man. You're also a man. There's no way she's attracted to this beautiful man. Yep, no way at all. "Nothing." She lies. It's not nothing! "Please move." She says feeling her face heat. Jero looks down at her, she seemed really nervous. So it's not like she wasn't affected by him at all. But judging by her comfort he probably should stop here. If he scares her running away like earlier then he would never be able to get closer than this. He backs away and watches as she walks over to stand next to Doctor An. Even after this he plan on following her, he didn't have any other plans anyways.
Ara came up to him, "what was that all about?" She ask as Kila looked away from him. "Don't worry about it. Just her being a bit shy." He says. Princess Ara looks at him with doubt, "If you say so." She says walking over to Kila. "So what's the plan now? It's apparent that being here is not safe." Shea says. She's right that's for sure. If, like him and Kila suspects, then the villain was among them and that means they will continue being found and chased.
