Chapter 42 - Chapter 41: Kilang’s Return to Yun Empire

Kilang and the others arrived in the Yan Empire faster than they expected. "Ugh, I'm never doing that again." Doctor An says as they slid down from the back of Misty. He hunched over hurling his guts out, "that was so fun!" Princess Ara's eyes sparkling, it seems she was hiding her true emotions. People around them were staring and seemed at awe by Misty, their loud whispers as they watched them from afar was irritating. "That damned beast must be against him. He scowls as he glares back at Misty who turns away as if guilty. Where did her cuteness go? "To be back here, brings me back memories. Wonder how the Emperor is doing?" Kila asks as she helped Misty go back into the spatial bag. It was for the better so that she didn't draw anymore attention to them.

"Who are they?" The whispers wondered. "That was definitely a Sacred God Beast, right?" Other whispers said. Neither of them is noticing Brother Ping who was sitting in a nearby cafe drinking wine. He stared in shock at the woman that stood in the square, something about her was very familiar. A pain deep inside his chest caused him to feel confused, why was that? He stands and makes his way down to the outside. Once there she was no longer in his sights, who? Who was she?

Meanwhile Kila had made her way to Ruong household. "Smaller than I thought it'd be." Princess Ara says staring at the house with disappointment. Kila could feel a small angry tick forming, "just because you lived in a massive palace doesn't mean anything." She says. To think that Kilaa would get made about something this small. A man with a sharp and powerful aura came out of the house, "what's the meaning of this? Who are you people?" He asked his stare could scare a grown man. "Father, don't you recognize your daughter?" Kila asked. The man stares at her for a moment and turns his head, "impossible, my daughter died in a fire years ago." He says.

Fan'errr! She clenches her fist, ot seems he believed she died a long time ago. But for him not to recognize her, there was something else at large here. "What will we do if we can't stay here?" Doctor An whispers. Kila watched as he was about to leave, there was only one way. "Father, should I show proof?" She asked. He paused and looks back at her, "proof...what do you mean?" He asked. She points over to one of his servant girls, "my birthmark that I was born with, should one she check for it?" She asked. He narrows his gaze and seemed to be thinking about it.

"Alright, take her to have a look. If she lies, kill her." He says leaving them behind. "What a cruel man." Princess Ara says with an upturned nose. Kila watches him and turns as the maid leads her to a courtyard that was empty, it used to belong to her back then. It no longer looked all that great anymore, "please take off you clothes, young miss." The maid says as Doctor An waits outside with Princess Ara. A few mintues tick by before Kila and the maid steps out of the house. "First Miss, it is you." The maid said her eyes teary. "Yes, it is." Kila says.

"It seems it went well. So now what?" Doctor An says. "You should go visit the Emperor for me." Kila says with a smile, "tell him, there's something I wish for." Doctor An nods before leaving the Ruong household. On his way out he notice a man standing at the door, "don't I know you?" He asked with a frown. The man shook his head and walked away. Doctor An frowns. he was sure that he seen this guy before. Oh well. Shrugs before he takes a carriage to the Imperial Palace.

Kilang and Princess Ara follows the maid back to the main house where her father waited inside. Judging by his pale expression, he definitely haven't been doing well. "General, it's her. She truely is your daughter!" The maid says happily. He looked at her in shock, "my daughter, but how? Didn't you die in the fire?" He asked as he fell to his knees in shock. She slid to her knees as well and wrapped her arms about his frail shoulders, strange. In her last life she never had a father who cared for her. His distruaght expression said it all, he truely was a caring father. She notices his heart racing and his shallow breath against her cheek, it was obvious then. He's been drugged.

"Father listen to me, no one other than you and the maids must know that I'm here. Also there's something I need to tell you that you won't like." She tells him. After a while of explaining the situation and who Princess Ara was her father was furious. "How dare that brat cause such a thing to happen in my household!" He roars angrily. His coughs hard and a bit of blood spills, Kila was even more furious, that bitch will pay for daring to drug her father! "A month after you have recovered is when everything will be taken care of father." She says feeling the rage boiling to the surface.

He pats her head, "I'm glad your are doing much better than I could ever hoped, my daughter." He says with a sad smile. Father? She stares at him and smiles softly, "don't feel too guilty, it's not your fault. She tricked all of us." Kila says. Her father, the greatest general that ever lived was now resorted to this. I will renounce your glory and the Ruong's Family name if it's the last thing I do! She thought standing and making her way out of the house back to her courtyard. First let's concoct some pills to get rid of the poison in her father's body, whatever he took made him believe Fan'er was like a daughter and slowly destroyed his meridians.
