Chapter 20 - Miner's Cavern 2nd Floor

They made their way into the new room the first part of the room was covered in rocks and large walls blocking things making it like some kind of maze. Arcin looked at the place a little if this floor was just a maze she could easily bypass it by just jumping over it. "You lucky were are trapped in a maze right now." Arcin let out a sigh as she looked over to Saisako touching her black nose lightly.

The longer Arcin spent with Saisako more she learned that though Saisako looked a lot like a fennec fox with is some cat abilities retractable claws. Saisako though looking a little similar to an animal from Terra though she defiantly was not like that animal. Arcin had also grasped some points of Saisako's personality one of which being that Saisako enjoyed resting a lot!

Arcin looked over at the glaive in her hand and the blade then disappeared turning back into regular staff. She hummed slightly at how simple it was to change forms. 'That means as long as I have a very clear detailed picture of the weapon in my head I can form the weapon. I wonder what the limitations of this are?' Arcin smiled as she walked forward with the staff in hand using it as a walking stick. She hummed slightly as walked if this was a mission back on her world she wouldn't be humming or doing anything of the sorts. Walking through winding corridors she didn't encounter any monsters but she still wasn't all that nervous about it hence being so nonchalant about it.

Eventually, she made it to a fairly large clearing in the room and she knew at this point that it was time to be on the lookout. It wasn't long till monsters began to appear there were some Molehog's like on the previous floor but there was another monster this one by the TGG was called a Rock-worm. You might mistake it for a snake for a moment but looking at it a second time with the body coated in rocks you would notice that the monster had no eyes but it had a mouth that was full of jagged sharp teeth.

Arcin reached up into her hood and grabbed Saisako by the scruff of her neck before placing her on the ground. "Your up." Arcin huffed placing Saisako on the ground. She could tell that Saisako was not pleased about being woken up. "You're a total sloth."

The moment after being forced to act Saisako was in full swing. She didn't like to start the fight or really doing anything but once she started she wasn't too bad or lagging behind when fighting. It was clear she was just lazy to start things but once started she went all in.

What was in front of the duo was a group of 10 enemies ranging from Lv. 11 - 13. Arcin was sure there was more to come after this. Arcin watched closely at everything that Saisako did she would switch between water and calamity element magic facing off against the Earth element creatures.

Watching Saisako jump into the air her claws coated in a blue colour she slashed it towards a few enemies from the claws the energy that formed off the claws and hitting the monsters. She cut down a few of the monsters slashing Molehog's in half as they then disappeared into corrupted mana. But when it cut the Rock-worms in two it became another monster. One Rock-worms could become 2 with half the level.

Though the monster was called Rock-worm it moved like a snake it was another one of those odd monsters. It was odd to look at the monster in Medeis. Saisako slashed down all the Molehog's first since it was since the Molehogs could move in a wider range of motion than the Rock-worms. After dealing with the Molehogs Saisako begun to deal with the Rock-worms each time she attacked it would cut the worms in half. When she cut one it made two. This happened a few times when she attacked the Rock-worms they found that at most from one Rock-worm it can turn into 4 lower-level ones.

After 10 minutes of being surrounded by Rock-worms and Molehogs. Saisako was slightly injured and surrounded by smaller Rock-worms. One of the monsters lunged forward and bit down on Saisako who let out and yelp out of pain and surprise as the attack came from right under her. Arcin clicked her tongue sending out a blast of Spirit magic that cut the Rock-worm in half killing it and freeing Saisako. She then had blue energy begin to radiate from her paws and tail before spinning around in a circle creating a whirlpool of sharp blue energy that cut down anything in its path. Each monster around Saisako fell down in two before turning into corrupted mana.

Arcin let out a slight sigh of relief that everything was alright seeing how low Saisako's health was but she was still alive and right here. That attack from the monster hit her underbelly which was definitely a weak point of Saisako. 'I wish I could heal her.' Arcin thought looking over at her little partner that was when white mana came from Arcin and surrounded Saisako and completely healed her.

Arcin looked down at her hand a little surprised. 'Heal and attack… right. That's right Spirit and Aether are the basis of this world magic meaning that they can do all of that. They are just neutral to everything meaning at the basis I'm not effective against but nothing is effective to me.' Arcin crossed her arms as she closed her eyes looking at her mana realm.

Had many floating islands around her starting point which was white and like an advanced island. Every other island was connected to this starting point but are around was a black island that touched the starting point she walked forward from the starting point. She initially expected to fall or some of this it was 'solid' ground. When she walked for a moment she noticed an island not that far away that hard black lines connecting to each island. This was the representation of Aether. You can not see it normally because it was 'nothing'. The more Arcin began to understand her mana the 'brighter' that lands became.

Her body was changed so everything was different than it was originally. With not only having one of the two base elements as her official element but also the new sensation and dimensions of her body. Magic was something she slightly understood what it was but had no idea how to use, and she was granted the ability to use all magic at varying degrees at the very start. Essentially she was made into a mage the moment she came here to Medeis. So to be able to use elements she needs to get an understanding of how mana worked. This was just one of many obstacles that Arcin had to face in this new world.
