Monday, 5:00 am.
"Hello, Heather." Orin greeted jumping through her bedroom window.
"*Sniff* What do you want? Ein's not here." She replied wiping her tears.
"I know. He's... Gone." Orin stated.
"What?" She asked confused.
"He's not here anymore. He's still alive though, sadly." Orin explained.
"What are you saying? He's at his house with that stupid blue-haired human. I checked yesterday." Heather said not believing Orin.
"Jeez, you're such a stalker. His house is mine now since he ran away. Oh and there's been some change in plans. " Orin said sitting beside her.
"What is it now?" She asked obviously not wanting to do anything right now.
"Well, there's going to an ambush Thursday after school... We need to make sure that Ultima kid is going to be there. Can you do that?" Orin asked.
"Yeah. But why me?" She asked confused.
"Because you're the new leader of this little group. Who knows maybe you can officially become part of the Chaos Order and get your revenge on Ein since he'll be hunted when the boss finds out." Orin said playing with her hair.
"Wow. Really?" She asked hitting his hand away.
"Yup. Just ensure he gets there unharmed. I don't want to hurt him too bad until I'm gauging his eyes out for the boss." Orin said with a surprisingly innocent looking smile but the vibe he gave off was completely different.
"You are so sadistic. How can you smile while saying something like that?" Heather asked getting shivers.
"Guess it's in my nature. But you're not any better when it comes to girls that make you jealous or revenge. Anyways, see you Thursday behind the school on that big open field." He said before jumping out of her window backwards.
'Perfect. I get to mess with that blue-haired hussy and do the mission at the same time! I might even become powerful enough to kill Ein and not get in trouble! I'm so excited!' Heather thought.
Lunchtime, 12:00pm.
'Well, I came to school. Now I just need to find her. Oh, that was hard she sticks out like a sore thumb." Heather thought spotting her.
"Did you miss me?" Heather asked from behind Kelly's shoulder.
"Not really. I was glad I couldn't see your clown makeup. Too bad you had to his ruin that. Now I've lost my appetite." Kelly replied watching her sit beside her.
"Look, hussy. You're going to help me if not I'll kill your precious mother." Heather said with a mischievous grin.
"We've already been through this." Kellian rolled her eyes.
"Look, I'm not joking. I get that you don't like her that much but would you really want to be responsible for the death of her and OUR unborn sibling?" Heather asked with a smirk.
"Are you a broken record?" Kelly asked confused.
"Do you seriously not care?" Heather asked, worried.
"Nope," Kelly replied.
"I leave you alone." Heather offered.
"I'm listening." Kellian's interest was piqued.
"I just need you to go become friends with those three again." Heather started.
"But wouldn't that– Oh, yeah. I was told Ein finally gained his sight back and broke up with you. It was just a matter of time before it happened, honestly. Anyway, continue." Kellian commented.
"Well, first you'll become my slave and do my bidding and second you'll bring Ryder to that big open field behind the school after school on Thursday," Heather replied with two veins bulging out of her forehead obviously angry.
"Mmm...No," Kellian replied nonchalantly.
"Briiiiinnggg!... Briiiiinnggg!" The first warning bell rang to remind everyone lunch is over and they should start heading to class.
"What!? You don't believe me?" She asked completely baffled and angered.
"No. Frankly, I just don't care anymore." Kelly said cleaning up the area where she was eating.
"What's that's supposed to mean?" Heather asked, furious.
"You do whatever you want. I won't betray a friend willingly. Never. Do it yourself." Kelly said dumping her food tray in the trash behind Heather and leaving.
"You'll regret this you bitc-" Heather tried to threaten Kelly but tripped while chasing after her.
'I won't betray anyone for my own sake. Never. I refuse to be a villainess! Good people stick up for their friends. So that's what I'm going to do.' Kelly thought walking to class.
With Ryder.
"Hey..." Ryder said to Leo who was sitting beside him.
"Hmm?" Leo looked over at him.
"Kelly came to school today," Ryder stated.
"I noticed. Why are you telling me this? I thought you didn't care about her." Leo asked confused.
"She came to the art club yesterday too," Ryder added.
"So?" Leo asked still confused.
"She was covered in cuts and bruises. Serious ones. They looked enough to kill a human..." Ryder described.
"...According to what you're saying she should be dead?" Leo asked even more confused.
"No. They were healed by magic. Not very well though. Only enough so she doesn't die. Just thought I'd tell you since you care so much about her." Ryder said calmly.
"..." Leo said there trying to calm his rage so he doesn't end up killing someone.
'Good. He's angry. He'll beat them up and if he doesn't... We'll learn the truth. It's a win-win situation and I don't have to do anything.' Ryder thought.
"Anyways I have to go." He said then left.
"Ein! How dare he hurt her!? Should I find Ein and kill him or should I try to find her? What if she's alone and still doesn't want my help... Then what? But why did Ryder tell me this? No. Now is not the time to be curious. I have to go find her.' Leo thought consumed with rage and worry.
Leo went on a search to find Kelly. Eventually, he saw her walking down the hallway lost in thought so he went inside a janitor's closet near him and waited for her to pass the door. When she did he grabbed her and pulled her in.
In an attempt to escape the "stranger" pulling her inside she accidentally locked the door with knowing. (She didn't see who was doing it. ) Leo covered her mouth as she was about to scream.
"Shhh. Don't scream. It's me, Leo. And I just want to talk." Leo whispered into her ear.
"... Leo? Why are we in a janitor's closet and why did you have to scare me like that." She asked struggling to turn around since the janitor's closet was so small and confined.
"It was the only thing I could think of since I was worried you didn't want to talk to me. Anyways... Did your mother abuse you again?" Leo asked finally thinking logically again.
"I don't know what you're talking about," Kellian said, obviously lying.
"I saw that torture chamber thing at your house and Ryder told me about your wounds... Did she hurt you again?" Leo asked with a serious face.
"...I... No... It was Ein and Heather's followers. I couldn't fight back properly because I couldn't breathe because of one of their attacks I failed to dodge. They took advantage of that." Kellian explained briefly.
"What!?" Leo said rage consuming him. He also punched the wall behind Kelly causing her to jump.
"S-sorry." He apologized for scaring her. "I was just.... angry. Why would Ein do this to you?" Leo asked trying to conceal his anger.
"He didn't. His followers did. He had no clue it was happening. They went against him if anything it was Heather's fault." Kelly explained.
"Still. He allowed it to happen... That's unforgivable... Why are you so calm? You should be pissed." Leo asked.
"He never intended for it to happen, he told them not to hurt me and expected them to listen. Plus he apologized and said he left to better himself." Kelly explained.
'Why is she so pure? She definitely has the right to be angry yet I'm the only one angry now.' Leo thought.
"Well, did they listen? No. Because of his horrible leading, you got hurt... Did his apology take away the pain you felt?... No. No, it didn't. Then he just disappears on top of it. His excuse wasn't even good." Leo complained.
"Don't worry about it. There's a new problem now, anyways. On that day his girlfriend threatened to break up with him if he fought the followers who wounded me. So he broke up with her and fought anyway. I don't know what happened to them but they haven't been seen since. Anyways I'm going on a tangent. The point is she's mad that he broke up with her and is planning something." Explained a worried Kellian.
"I see. So you think she's going to target you?" He asked.
"No. I know that she's going to target us or at least me and Ryder. She threatened to kill my mother if I didn't bring Ryder to that field I got beat up at on Thursday." Kellian corrected.
"What? Wait did you accept?" Leo asked.
"No. Of course not. But I have a feeling she might do something more than just kill my mother." Kellian stated.
"You'll just have to be on high alert since your mother wouldn't appreciate having friends over we can't protect you." Said Leo in a worried tone.
"Yeah..." She replied.
"I think that's all I had to say. Plus class is about to start." Leo said.
"But Ummm... How are we going to get out?" Kelly asked.
"What are you talking about? Since the door was locked we just turn the handle and push." Leo answered.
"...The handle is really low because the janitor is so short. Plus it's behind you... Can you turn around and bend over without squashing me, stepping into or spilling that mop bucket thingy that's filled with dirty water or causing the janitor stuff to fall on us?" Kelly asked while explaining how it wasn't as simple as he thought.
"Crap... You're right... Can you reach it?" Leo asked worried they might be trapped.
"I don't know. Maybe?" Kelly replied
"Try." He said hoping she can.
Kellian tried to stretch to reach the door handle. She lost her balance and almost fell. Instinctively Leo supported her with one arm so she wouldn't fall and blocked a bottle of bleach from falling on top of her head. She immediately went back to trying to reach the handle.
"I almost got it." She said barely brushing the handle with her fingertips. "Can you hold your arms up?" She asked thinking if she got as close as possible to him she'll be able to reach the handle.
"Like this?" He asked raising his arms straight up.
"Perfect." She replied.
She moved closer now practically embracing Leo in a hugtrying to unlock the door.
Leo's face soon turned bright red due to the feeling of her body against his.
'!!! I can feel her... Against my chest... Please hurry up Kelly!' Leo thought now holding his breath about to have a literal panic attack.
"Got it." She said finally able to get the door open.
As soon as she opened the door Leo stepped out breathing heavily.
"Are you okay? Your face is red and you're breathing heavily... Are you claustrophobic?" Kelly asked worriedly.
"Uhhh... Sure." Leo replied. 'I feel bad lying to her but it's better than telling her I was having a panic attack because a girl was too close to me. Especially since that girl is her.' Leo thought.
"Then why would you do that to yourself? Idiot!" She asked.
"Because I'm stupid. Haha." Leo replied. 'I really am. Why did I think it was a good idea to go into a closet with her. I should have at least checked how crowded it was inside first.' Leo thought.
"Don't say that. I'm sure your worry for me just blinded you or something." Kelly said trying to find a reason why he'd do that. "Do you want me to take you to the nurse?" She asked.
"Well... I guess you aren't wrong. And no thanks I'll be fine without seeing the nurse. Anyways I have to go to class. Bye." Leo said then walked away.
"Bye," Kelly replied worried if he was actually okay.
"Wait! You're bleeding!" Kelly said noticing the blood on his knuckles.
"Oh, this must be from when I punched the wall. Hehe." Leo said scratching the back of his head with his other hand.
"Idiot. I'm taking you to the nurse." Kelly said dragging him.
"She's never there during and the hour after lunch," Leo stated.
'Plus I don't like her. I'd be better to get Lily to heal it.' Leo thought.
"Then I'll treat it myself," Kelly said still dragging him to the nurses office.
"Do you know how to?" Leo asked, curious.
"Yup. When you have a mother like mine and get hurt as much as I do, you learn how to treat wounds yourself. It's not that hard." She said with a smile.
'How can I say no to that face? Guess I'll just let her. Mother will be mad when she sees the bandages though. Oh well.' Leo thought.
"Okay. To be honest you'd probably make a better nurse than the nurse. She's weird always touching me unnecessarily and asking weird questions. I think she might be a pervert or something. Plus she doesn't treat girls, only the principal's daughter and she rarely gets hurt." Leo commented.
"If she's doing that then she is definitely a paedophile. We should report her." Kelly stated.
"Sigh. Already tried the vice principal seems to like her or something and always stops me from reporting her to the principal. Even though I don't really like the principal either. This entire school is messed up." Leo explained with a sigh.
"True. Even though I've never been to another school the ones depicted in books seem way better." Kelly commented.
"Anyways never hesitate to call or text me whenever. Okay?" Leo reminded.
"Okay. Anyways let's hurry up and get to the nurse's office before class starts." Kelly said now running while dragging him.
"Are we all still friends?" He asked, unsure.
"What a dumb question! Of course, we are! As long as you guys want me back." Kelly said.
"Yeah." He said with a smile relieved Kelly still considers them friends.
