'Mom is pregnant. I believe it... even though I don't want to until she says it... but how and where would Heather kill her?'
"What are you doing in my room, child?" Kaila asked walking into her room to see Kelly at her desk.
Kelly quickly got up, "Nothing."
"Whatever, I'll let it slide since I'm tired. Go do whatever. I'm going to sleep." Kaila said.
"Yes, Mother," Kelly replied.
"I thought I told you not to call me that," Kaila stated.
"Sorry... Kaila... I'll go now." Kelly said then left.
The next day, After school, Wednesday, 5:30.
Kelly had gotten hungry and since Kaila is sleeping, she decided to get something to eat.
'Hmmm? That's strange why is the floor wet? Woah! That's slippery' Kellian thought as she slipped and fell on her butt.' Then thought a bit '...Wait slippery like...gas!? Is Heather planing on setting the house on fire!?' Kelly thought as she began to smell smoke.
'Oh no! My mother! Even if I don't really care about her she's my mom I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her.' Kelly thought.
So Kelly ran upstairs being careful not to slip. By the time she reached her mother's bedroom the entire house was already in flames.
"*cough* Mom!!! Where are you!? *cough*" Kellian
Kellian managed to find Kaila passed out surrounded by flames in the room with the closet. Kellian did not hesitate. She ran through the flames grabbed her mother, put her on her back and tried to get out of the house.
"Don't worry. I'll save you! *cough* *cough*" She said bringing Kaila carefully downloaded the stairs and out the door.
When they reached a safe distance outside Kellian place her on the ground. She then sat down and placed Kaila's head in her lap.
"Mom. Are you okay?" Kellian asked looking at all the burn marks on Kaila.
"*cough cough cough* You Idiot! I hated you all this time and what do you do? You saved me just like she did. You're exactly like her. Why couldn't you just hate me too! You're making me feel like a horrible person. *cough cough cough*" She sounded like she was coughing up her lungs.
"... I'm confused. Who is "she"?" Kellian asked but she still had tears forming in her eyes.
"You look so much like her I couldn't help but hate you. In reality, you're not a bad kid. And if I had this baby I'd want it to be like you. Beautiful, innocent and obedient. The only thing I hated was how much you looked and acted like them." Kaila stated.
"Like who? You're not explaining! And I still can't believe you really are pregnant..." Kelly stated.
"I knew I couldn't trust that daughter of his. She probably did this because she's the worst type of person. *cough cough*" Kaila stated angrily.
"She did but who were you talking about before?" Kellian asked.
"*cough cough* ... Your... *cough* mother," Kaila stated between coughs.
"What are you talking about? You're my mother." Kelly said confused.
"I'm not your mother that's why I wanted a baby of *cough*...my own. Lillian... You look just like her *cough* you look exactly like her but you have your father's hair. *cough* Even your *cough* personally is like a mix of their's." Kaila stated.
"What? But...but..."
"I was never your mother. I wasn't even a good stepmother. I am horrible. *cough cough cough cough* I won't make it. Take this it has something your mother told me to give you. *cough cough cough cough* I also wrote a letter explaining my side of the story. *cough cough cough* The box is indestructible so its contents are safe. *cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough*" Kaila explained with her cough worsening.
"Why'd you write a letter? You'll be able to tell me when we get you to the hospi-"
"No. I'm going to die with my baby. I inhaled too much smoke. I already feel dizzy and drowsy. When I pass out I'll die." Kaila said cutting off Kellian.
"No!!! You'll live! Look I'm fine and you'll be too! You'll explain everything! And be a better stepmother." Kellian said desperately holding back her tears.
"I'm just an ordinary wolf. I'm too weak to survive. And look at yourself you walked directly through flames and didn't receive a single burn. *cough cough cough cough cough cough* She's protecting you. That and you're not fully human nor wolf you're also something much stronger *cough cough cough cough cough cough cough* Goodbye Kellian. Be a good girl, make friends and be like her. Never let anyone hurt your friends. Don't be like me... you'll.. regret it. *cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough cough*" Kaila said closing her eyes.
"... Kaila? Kaila!!!!!!!!!! No!!!!!! You can't leave me alone too!!!!!! No no no no no no no no no no no no!!!!!!!!!!! You can't die too!!!!" Kellian scream tears pouring down her face.
"You can't leave yet. You need to make it up to me for being a bad stepmom. And explain everything you wrote in this stupid letter yourself..." Kellian said crying over her stepmother's soon to be lifeless body for at least an hour.
"Fine... I'll fulfil your dying wish. I'll come back someday to see you. I'll make you proud of me, okay... Goodbye...for now. " Kellian said burying her stepmother and using a large rock to mark the grave.
Broken and covered in dirt and ash Kellian then grabbed her phone out of her pocket and called Leo.
"Hey, Kelly. I just got out of the shower if it's not that important can you call me back in about five minutes?" Leo asked wanting to change before talking to her.
"...My mother's dead," Kelly said.
"What!?" Leo dropped everything he was holding aside from his phone.
"... I don't have a house anymore either." She added.
"What do you mean?" Leo asked confused.
"It burnt down. Do you think you can *sniff* come for me and let me stay with you?" Kelly asked wiping her tears away.
"I'll be there as soon as I can. Will you be on the main road?" Leo asked.
"Yes. Please... Hurry. I don't want to be alone..." Kelly stated then began walking to the main road.
And they ended the call. Leo got dressed as quickly as possible, ran to the garage and jumped into the first car in sight and began to drive. It was originally a 30-minute drive from his house but he reached in 18 minutes.
Kelly got into the car without hesitation when she saw Leo and stared out the window the entire drive. She didn't even question why he was driving when it was pretty illegal. Leo didn't know what to say and just stayed quiet glancing at her in the mirror occasionally.
When they arrived at Leo's house she followed behind him quietly.
"Omg. Girl, you look like death." Lia commented. Leo glared at her then continued leading her to his bedroom.
Once there Kellian told him everything.
"Do you want to take a bath?" Leo asked after letting her sit on his bed.
She nodded in reply.
"Okay, I'll ask my sister if she has any clothes to fit you. Do you want me to set the water for you?"
Again she nodded.
"Okay follow me," Leo said leading her to the bathroom. She left the box on Leo's bed.
"Is the temperature fine?"
Kelly placed her hand in the water then nodded.
"Here's the body wash, bubble bath and a bath sponge. I'll also leave this towel on this rack here. Don't worry they're all unused. I'm going to go get those clothes for you now."
Kelly once again nodded in response.
'She looks so broken and confused. She's probably in a lot of pain and extremely confused. I understand that but I don't know what that feels like for her though. I hope she's okay. Maybe I should just ask? No that's dumb! She's obviously not okay What are you thinking!?' Leo argued with himself.
"Hey, sis think you got any clothes that can fit Kelly?" Leo asked.
"I don't really know her size but you can come to check too," Lia replied.
"Okay."
And so they began looking for an out that would fit Kelly.
"You can look for everything else I'm going to look for underwear," Lia said nonchalantly.
"Underwear!?" Leo said shocked.
"Yeah. Or did you want her to not wear any? Are you planning to do something with her?" Lia asked with a smirk.
"No! Of course not. Her mother just died!" Leo replied.
"Oh. Are you saying things would be different if her mother was alive?" Lia asked.
"Whatever... it's no use arguing with you... Just do what you're doing." Leo said not wanting to argue with her.
"All my bras seem too big for her... My boobs are too big and perfect." Lia said bouncing her boobs with her hands with a proud look on her face.
"TMI! I didn't need to hear you say that at all! And please stop touching yourself." Leo said grossed out.
"Do you know how big her boobs are by any chance?" Lia asked, completely ignoring his previous statements.
"No! Of course not! Why would I?" Leo asked.
"I mean it is obvious that you like her so I thought maybe you might have taken some quick glances and you know, estimate."
"No! Never. I'm not as perverted as you." Leo responded. while thinking, 'Plus I might actually die if I did that so the thought never crossed my mind.
"It's not my fault I feed on sexual energy," Lia replied.
"Whatever just find some clothes that'll fit her already," Leo said now ignoring her.
"Omg. Look what I found!" Lia said excitedly.
"Wha- Is that lingerie!?" Leo asked.
"Yup. Imagine her in this." Lia said with a mischievous grin.
"Ugh! Shut up. And put that away!" Leo said looking away from her.
"Why? Lingerie, women's underwear what's the difference? Or are you thinking of something dirty?" Lia asked acting innocent.
"Am not! Just put that thing away! It just doesn't feel right plus I know the type of things you do in those." Leo replied.
"Oh come on it's washed," Lia said rolling her eyes.
"No. I refuse. She will not be wearing you contaminated underwear." Leo stated.
"What do you expect her to wear then?" Lia asked.
"...I don't know... I'll go buy her them...if I have to..." Leo said while thinking, 'I really don't want to go to a women's underwear store...would they even let me in?'
"Ugh. Fine. You're no fun. Here. I already estimated and bought her multiple items of clothing." Lia admitted sounding disappointed.
"You only met her once though..." Leo pointed out.
"Once was enough, silly. I only needed one look."
"Pervert. And you should have given me these first." Leo hit her over the head.
"Anyways, so how did you find out about my side job, again? I need a refresher." Lia asked.
"I'm never talking about that night ever again. I'm mentally scarred thanks to you." Leo replied shuddering. "Anyways. Enjoy cleaning up your room." Leo said as he took the clothes and left.
"What!? You're not going to help me?" Lia asked pouting sadly.
"Nope. My hands are too full at the moment." Leo replied leaving.
"But they won't be when you put down those clothes!" Lia yelled.
"What was that I can't hear you I've gone out of hearing range!" Leo yelled back.
"Jerk!" Lia shouted.
Leo left Lia to clean as sort of a punishment for being perverted and trying to make him seem perverted as well. When he went to his room he dumped everything on a corner of his massive bed. Then sat down.
"...Leo?" Kelly asked opening the bathroom door.
"Yes, Kelly?" Kelly walked out of the bathroom in nothing but the white towel he gave her.
"Can...I..just sit next to you? ...I don't want to be alone right now," Kelly asked.
"O-okay," Leo replied trying not to look at her.
Kelly sat down next to Leo and rested her head on his shoulder. Leo looked over at Kelly but quickly looked away remembering she was still just in the towel.
"This may be a dumb question but... A-are you okay?" Leo asked.
"*sniff* No..." Kelly said then broke down in his arms crying. She also told him everything that happened from when she was attacked that day till now.
"I'm... I'm all alone." She said sobbing.
"Wrong! You have me and the guys. We will always be here for you." Leo said grabbing onto her shoulders and looking her in the eyes.
Kelly stared at him surprised by what he did and said. Leo started to get shy and his gaze began to lower.
Then he saw and remembered that she was only wearing a towel. The fact that he was just hugging a practically naked girl sank in and he jumped back almost falling off the bed and averted his gaze.
"Ummm... M-maybe you should p-p-put on some c-clothes before we c-c-continue our c-conversation." Leo recommended.
"Oh right," Kelly said looking down at her body somehow still perfectly wrapped in the white towel. "Are all these clothes mine to choose from?" Kelly asked looking behind her at the pile of clothes.
'Thank god that towel didn't fall.' Leo thought.
Can we all just take a moment to give that towel some recognition for staying in place? Like it was committed to its job... Okay, that's enough. Let's continue.
"They are. I-I'm going to...g-go make a phone call real quick. I'll knock before I enter. Bye." Leo said quickly then left.
Leo went downstairs grabbed his phone and started a group call with Ryder and Dexter.
"Why the hell are you calling so late!?" Ryder complained.
"Yes." Dexter agreed.
"This is important," Leo replied in a serious tone. "Kelly's here at my house right now."
"So? What's Blueberry got to do with us- Wait!!! Did you say she was at your house!?!?!?!" Ryder asked yelling. It's hard to tell with what emotion because it just sounds like really loud yelling.
"Jeez, dude. I expected you to be confused not to burst my eardrums with your loud yelling!" Leo yelled back.
"What the hell is Blueberry doing at your house this late at night!?!?!" Ryder asked yelling.
"Her house burnt down," Leo replied.
"What?!" Ryder and Dexter shouted in unison.
"Can you guys come over? We need to talk." Leo said in a very serious tone.
"I'll be there as soon as possible," Ryder replied.
"Me too." Dexter agreed.
