Chapter 9 - Chapter Seven

"He did what?!"

"You heard it right, Hestia. Your brother charmed your sister."

"And you did nothing about it? You're the royal sorcerer and you should do the right thing! Why would you—"

"I tried Hestia! I tried!"

Hestia was restless. She went to the sorcerer and asked what Zeus had done to her sister. She knew something was wrong especially with her sister. Hera will not just love Zeus other than being a brother to her.

"You tried?!" Hestia laughed.

The sorcerer was silent on the side and tried to understand Hestia. He knew the goddess was only worried about her sister.

"You only tried! You didn't helped Hera."

The goddess was about to leave when the sorcerer said something that made her stop.

"I gave her a potion."

Hestia turned and face the sorcerer.

"What?"

"I gave her a potion. A potion that can be able to prevent any potion from being given to her but, it looks like Zeus replaced it with something before Hera could drink it."

The goddess was silent. She felt guilty about throwing bad words at the sorcerer. She can't control her anger.

"It's fine Hestia. I know you're just worried."

"I'm sorry. What should I do?"

The sorcerer went to her desk and made Hestia sit on the chair next to her.

"They're having a baby."

"What?!"

"Sit down and listen!"

Hestia returned to her seat.

"They're having a baby and it's a boy. They'll name it Joshua and you should get him before he turned three years old."

"What will happen if I didn't have the chance to get him?"

"Hera will die."

The goddess's eyes widened. She can't believe what she just heard.

"H-how?"

"The child Hera will give birth to has a curse because he was made out of his parents' untruthful love and because of the charm I gave."

The sorcerer handed a dagger.

"What am I supposed to do with this?"

"That's what you'll use in killing the baby."

"No!"

She gave the dagger back.

"I can't kill an innocent life! That's too much! My sister will be depressed and I don't want that to happen."

"Kill the baby or letting your sister die in front of you. Choose."

Though scared, Hestia just took the dagger and returned to the palace.

"Hestia! I didn't saw you at my wedding earlier. Where have you been?"

"I have some more important things to handle Hera."

"More important that my wedding? Look, I know you're mad but Zeus and I are in love at each other and you can't do anything about it. Why can't you just support us like Demeter and Poseidon?"

The goddess remembered that she summoned Poseidon to spy at her sister's wedding. She needed to talk to her brother.

"If you just talked to me to criticize, and ask why I didn't go to your wedding earlier, you better just keep quiet. Excuse me. I have MORE important things to do."

The goddess turned her back on her sister and entered her room. Hera cried because of Hestia's treatment towards her. Zeus saw her so the god quickly approached his wife.

"What's wrong love?"

"I was about to tell her that I'm pregnant but it seems that she didn't care at all."

"Shhh dry those tears. You should be happy because we're having a baby. Crying is bad for the baby's health. Let's get you some food."

Zeus accompanied Hera to the kitchen and cooked her some food. Ever since they became a couple he has been cooking Hera's food. He wants to serve his wife to the best of his ability.

"Zeus?"

"Yes?"

"When our son comes out, what do you want to name him?"

Zeus stopped cooking for a moment and thought of a name.

"If it's a girl, I would name her Samantha but, if it turns out that our baby is a boy, we'll name him Joshua."
