Finally, the day Zeus has been waiting for has finally arrived. To marry Hera. All of Zeus' siblings except Hades and Hestia attended. To this day, the god never forgets what his sister said then. He tried to get it out of his mind and just focused more on his beloved.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Zeus turned to the door. Poseidon entered, already dressed.
"Of course. I'm already getting married."
Unknown to Zeus, Poseidon also conspired with Hestia. He did not want Hera to marry Zeus because he was not sure if the goddess' love for her brother was real. He was sent by Hestia to observe Hera if there was anything strange happening to her.
"That's the spirit. Now let's go. You don't want to be late on your wedding don't you?"
Zeus smiled that somehow one of his brothers attended. Although they are not complete now, Zeus is still happy.
"Let's go."
"You're so beautiful Hera."
Hera was just standing in front of the mirror and couldn't believe that she was getting married. It was as if he was just dreaming and did not want to wake up.
"I can't believe I'm getting married Demeter."
Demeter smiled and approached the goddess.
"Silly. This is your special day. You should be happy."
Hera turned around.
"I am happy. I just can't believe it."
Although confused, Demeter chose to support the two as long as they're happy and not hurting anybody.
Hera and Demeter talked for a few minutes until they were called to go to the church.
Zeus is already at the altar waiting for his future wife. He was nervous because Hera should have been here earlier but all the nervousness disappeared when the church door opened and Hera entered with a big smile on her face.
It's like a big dream come true for Zeus. He had wanted to marry his sister for a long time and that day finally came.
Hera has reached the altar and the god can't stop himself from looking at his future wife. Hera noticed it and laughed.
"What? Do i have a dirt on my face?"
Zeus shook his head and hold Hera's hand.
"You're so gorgeous, my love."
Hera smiled and the wedding ceremony began.
"Say your vows to each other."
Zeus spoke first.
"Ever since we became close to each other, I have not realized that I am falling in love with you. You were just so amazing and beautiful and unique in your own simple ways. I tried to make you feel that I'm inlove with you way back then but you would only take that as a joke."
Hera laughed and wiped her tears away.
"Until finally, you loved me back. That day was the greatest of all. I cannot say how happy I was the day you told me you loved me too. You made me speechless. Until now, I am still grateful that you became mine and not just mine but my wife. I promise to love you everyday until our very last breath. I will give you flowers and gifts even if you didn't ask to. I will always be here for you no matter what happens. I will love you till eternity. I love you, my love."
Zeus wiped the tears on Hera's face and the goddess spoke.
"You are always there for me. At first I did not want to fall in love with you because that was against the law. You give me flowers and jewelry every day. In fact, the first flower you gave was still in my room."
Zeus' heart melted. He never knew that Hera keeps everything he gives.
"The day came when I told myself that I love you too. I didn't wander around anymore and told you that before you lost your love for me."
"My love for you will be endless."
"I know, my love."
Hera continued on saying her vow.
"I am very grateful that you came into my life. I promise that I will be a good wife and mother to our future children. I will always support you in whatever you want to do. I will always give you random kisses and hugs when you feel sad and lonely. I will always and forever be your lover till death do us part. I love you too, my love."
They looked at the priest again.
"Do you, Zeus, take Hera to be you wife?"
"I do."
The priest nodded.
"And you, Hera, do you take Zeus to be your husband?"
"I do."
"If you do not agree with the marriage of Hera and Zeus, speak now or forever hold your peace."
No one objected to their marriage and as a result the two smiled and became contented that there will be no hindrance to their love.
"If none, you may now kiss your bride."
The whole church was filled with shouts and happy faces as Zeus kissed Hera. They both looked at each other.
"I love you, my wife.".
"I love you too."
