Checking the time table on the school website showed that there were only 2 lessons for this Tuesday, and in all of them the class would talk about organizational matters relating to the current state of the world and how they see the near future playing out.
There were more kids in the school now, many more than yesterday, and Albert was also in the halls, just standing around with his backpack on the ground near him, waiting for school to begin.
The speakers crackled all throughout the school as the female secretary began speaking. "Alright everyone, it seems like we will be able to start school again today, there is a lot of important things that your teacher will tell you. So.. I will now proceed to say the name of the class and I want that class to follow their class teacher to that classroom in an organised manner. Ok, so 10a, please follow your teacher to your classroom.. Then the 11c please go with your teacher.." the voice from the speakers continued listing out classes for some time after.
The 10a was Quast's class, so they made their way up the stairs until all the students that were present from the class stood infornt of the classroom door, the teacher searching for her keys, Jerry wasn't emitting such a strong aura of mana right now since he had now learned to control it a bit better.
The classroom they were about to enter was not their original one, since the windows were still destroyed. The teacher took out her keys and everyone went inside and sat down on their chairs.
Just a little bit over half of the students that made up the 10a were there, there being less students made Quast feel neat in the classroom, he always felt like that when there were less students in the classroom, since he didn't feel like he was just a mindless drone when there were less people.
"As you guys already probably know, there is something going around the world making humans develop abilities." The math teacher who was also the class teacher, Mary Johnston, sat down on the teacher's desk and nicely put her documents to her right. "This has made everyone wonder what the thing that is giving powers is, and where it came from, but nobody has an answer to any of those questions, this has also made everyone single person reconsider what is really possible and what isn't."
Albert immediately raised his hand.
"Albert." Miss Johnston said, allowing him to speak.
"This is a pretty huge event, and I'm super excited to see what would come out of it." Albert said energetically.
"Well.. that is debatable, since there are evil people that will now be given a way of accomplishing their wicked deeds." One of the few girls in the class spoke without raising her hand. Everyone silently agreed.
"I'm here to talk with you all how that will impact the education system." Mary Johnston spoke once everyone had quieted down. "As you probably know, since there were quite a few e-mails sent out to your parents, there is currently someone from the authorities watching over the school right as we speak, and not only that, but many other regulations will take place." "There is currently a new type of education system being discussed by our ministry of education, but that's far in the future."
A hand was raised, it was a boy sitting in the front, and he was chosen to talk. "Does that mean that we will get to train abilities in that new education system?"
"Most likely." The teacher responded.
Everyone looked excited at that moment, when yet another student raised his hand. "So, am I the only one thinking that the world will start turning into one of heroes and villains?"
"Definitely not the only one." Jerry muttered.
The teacher shrugged "There will probably be people who use their powers for good and some who will use them for bad, but that's just a given." "Alright.. anyways, onto what we will be doing today and tomorrow."
Then they continued talking about important things until the first 'lesson' was over, and it was now lunch break.
Quast and Jerry went circling the hallways talking about how neat it is to not have to reiterate useless material, and instead just talk about stuff regarding the world.
"Plus we only have 2 lessons on top of that, and one is already over, so school is gonna end pretty soon." Quast said, very excited.
For today, the students didn't actually have to bring anything except a notebook, so everyone's backpacks were extra light today.
Back in the classroom after the break was over, they continued talking about real world matters and the future until the 2nd lesson was over and everyone was allowed to go back home.
"It's still early morning." Jerry said "I'm hyped to go back home and just relax."
"Same." Quast answered.
Once back at home, after washing his hands first, Quast took to his room and turned his computer on to see what lessons he would have for Wednesday tomorrow. It looked like there were only 2 lessons for the next day too, that was super favourable to Quast, since he didn't like school.
Then he wondered what the biggest news were, so he just typed 'Breaking News' into the search engine, after getting bored of reading news he switched to watching videos, and then playing video games with his friend Jerry.
The game of choice was one of the most popular first person shooters, they picked a 2v2 sniper-only game mode, Quast and Jerry absolutely destroyed the opposing teams in every round they played, and after some 2 hours, both of them got bored and decided to log off for the day.
After leaving the call with his friend, Quast took his smartphone and went to watch videos in bed, but midway through a 10-minute video he decided to brush his teeth first and then truly go to bed, by that point he was pretty exhausted even if he hadn't done that much today.
Mana was now pretty close to spreading all over the world, and it was also in the cities of the people he had met in that Virtual Reality game. At first, they didn't believe what Quast was telling them, but pretty soon after they understood what he meant by something innate changing within them, and decided to take his advice to train themselves mentally and physically.
Some pretty strong people were discovering their powers all over the world, people were figuring out what an ability mostly was, but they still had no clue where it came or how Mana worked.
Slowly, but surely, while thinking about school Quast was closing his eyes, and preparing for sleep to take him away.
