"So that's it for the next 4 days." a little bit saddened spoke the boy with the sword.
"What can we do about it?" the one with nothing but a mysterious screen infront of him said.
Jerry went to pick up the water bottle with which he had missed the backpack, once it was in his hands he put it inside of his backpack, he only put the bottle inside because the nylon pack had no water holders on the sides.
After they checked if there was any trash remaining they wandered back to the beginning of the trail. Now only the long walk to where the sleepover was held remained.
During the walk back they surprisingly didn't talk much about the system, instead they just kept it to things about school and the newest games, from time to time they would talk about the teachers they hated the most and why, how they could change the education system however they deemed fit.
"Bro, I can't believe Ms. Florence did my guy Josh so dirty, he definitely didn't deserve that." Jerry was talking about how Thrusday the literature teacher, Ms. Katy Florence, an average looking female teacher, caught the student Josh Parker writing with someone on his phone and read it infront of the entire class, it was definitely some embarassing stuff for everyone on the scene, not just the offended.
"Yeah when he was writing with that girl, right?" Quast asked to which Jerry gave an affirmitive nod. "Isn't that illegal, to take a students belonging and on top of that start reading their private messages infront of people?"
"Haha, imagine it actually is illegal and Ms. Florence has to serve time in jail." Jerry laughed.
"What makes it sadder is that I heard he was being catfished by his friends." the only feeling that Quast was experiencing now was empathy for his classmate Josh.
"Oh my god, that makes it so much worse." with a surprised look on his face Jerry said.
As they continued on the asphalt walkway the destination was nearing and nearing.
Just barely 5 minutes faster than on their first walk, they had arrived from the forest to the outside of the apartament.
"That time passed so fast." both of them remarked, it only passed that fast because of the monumental conversation they held along the way.
The apartament door was opened with the key that Jerry always carries with him.
Quast had no key, but when he came he used the intercom that was outside of the apartament to tell his friend's parents that he was there and the door was unlocked for him.
The room where they had spent most of their time this sleepover, the one where the fastest and strongest internet was, the door to Jerry's room creaked open and both boys walked through.
A decision was made for the guest to leave the sleepover tomorrow at 12:00AM instead of today, because it was still only Saturday.
They agreed to play a survival game together on Jerry's console, a co-op world was made and they began from nothing and started harvesting materials to build a house so the players wouldn't be attacked by monsters at night.
The game was called 'Mining & Crafting' and it took the world by storm because of its simplistic, yet fun gameplay, it was also the 2nd most sold game in the world, but Mining & Crafting was expected to become 1st in a few years, so it didn't come as a surprise that it was also in Jerry's posession, Quast also had it on his PC at home.
Some hours later and they stopped playing because they were getting bored.
Almost as soon as the game was turned off they were called for dinner, a bowl of spaghetti was served to everyone and everybody began eating, after finishing the food they went back to the room where their stuff was.
It was still a little bright outside but it was visible that the sun was beginning to set, its beautiful twilight hues registering in the eyes of everyone.
After some more talking about internet stuff it was now dark outside and Quast decided to go to sleep early, however Jerry decided to continue doing some more activities on his computer, but he lowered the brightness of the screen so his friend could sleep better.
The clock hit 10 in the morning as some person began drilling something in the next apartament over, as a result both of the friends woke up, Quast cursed the guy and went to drink some water in the kitchen, the cabinet that was above the sink was opened and a glass was taken out, he made sure to fill it with cold water, the glass of water was downed and an empty one was put to the right of the sink where the dirty dishes were.
Lazing around for 2 more hours was an easy job for the friends, but all good things must come to an end as it was now time to say their goodbyes.
Infront of the apartament waited the bike for its owner to return, Quast unlocked it as he always did and set off home, this time however it totally slipped his mind to put on his headphones for some music.
The ride home was shorter than expected as he entered the house, took off his shoes and went to wash his hands, Quast always washed his hands first when he returned home or anywhere else where it was familiar to him.
The most depressing day had come, a realisation struck, Sunday was today and that meant that school was set to begin tomorrow, this however didn't stop Quast from slacking off until the very end as he got on his computer and started playing random games he had never even thought of playing before, wasting even more time in the process until everything for tomorrow was left for the very last moment.
He didn't have nearly as much homework as was thought he had, and just in 6 minutes it was done. Everything for his school day at Monday tomorrow was completed, his backpack was filled with the stuff he needed, and he was ready, when a sudden thought crossed his mind "Why do I have to go to school if I have this power?", but quickly after that he re-evaluated "Maybe this is the time where I can enjoy school, because what if some evil dude attacks just like Jerry said."
After thinking on the matter for some time he decided to still go to school, obviously.
Even though it was only 9:31PM he decided to change into his sleep-wear and go to bed while listening to some music, completely forgetting that he could tangle himself in the wire of his headphones and strangle.
No weird dreams were dreamt of that night, and as groggily as always he opened his eyes for another day.
