Screams rung loudly all over the third floor as numerous shots were fired from the silver wisp. "What a commotion," Oliver thought, as he silently watched the throng of people trample each other and fight for rights to leave the building first in the heat of panic from his position in the car he had waiting outside. "People are so fickle."
The third floor especially held the loudest screams as men, women, elderly and children either cried or hid from the silhouette of the young man currently firing of rounds at the men in black tasked with the protection of Marques Gulliver, 26th member of the High Rose court- a legislative circle responsible for the passing of bills and laws in the small country of Trezna.
"Son of a bitch!" Shouted one of the armed men in black, who were now attempting to circle their assailant.
"Corner him!" Yelled another.
"Protect the Marques!"
Akira exhaled the air he had pent up as he took his time reloading his gun as if he had little to no regard of the situation he had put himself in, and the hostile men around him.
"What are you waiting for?!" The fat man hiding behind the group of darkly draped men yelled. "Shoot him!"
Bullets flew and ricocheted off the walls and floor threatening to hit the bystanders desperately hiding behind surfaces to protect themselves.
"Did we get him?!" They questioned as the smoke cleared and the sounds of gun fire ended.
"What?!"
Their faces froze in shock as the figure they had emptied their barrels at was nowhere to be found.
"Where? Where did he go?!"
"Above you." Oliver whispered to himself, munching on chips he had found laying in the glove compartment.
A whistled tune alerted the men of Akira's position on top a pillar holding the ventilation system.
"How did he-"
Before the question could finish escaping their lips, he had successfully planted bullets in each of their heads and landed perfectly before Gulliver.
"Ahhh!" The Marques who had been taking shelter behind his men screamed, as he gazed at the horrifying image Akira had painted for himself. "Stop! Please stop!"
"So now he's begging?" Akira thought to himself, tipping his head to the side as he watched his target scurrying a few inches away from him with every step he took.
"What do you want? Eh?" He pleaded, trembling as he desperately tried to gain even the littlest amount of distance between him and who he now thought was the devil. "Money?! Name your price! I'll give you anything!"
Bang!
"Target eliminated," Akira said with a sigh, letting his hair fall to bangs and cover his eyes with the tip of his head so his eyes gazed at the bloody mess he had created. He slowly placed his partner back in its holding place and let out another sigh. "Looks like I didn't need Jin's help. Tell him to take care of the camera's then."
"Will do," Oliver uttered, dressing his position on the car seat to a more inconspicuous one, though he was currently the only person parked in the parking garage under the abandoned complex that was supposed to be off-limits. "Good work."
Akira pulled the hood on his coat up, taking his time to leave the building as he glanced at the frightened bystanders. "What do I do about them?"
"Just leave them for now," Oliver spoke, glancing at his rearview mirror as he pulled up in front of the malls entrance with their "get-away" car. "We'll gas them once we look the place down."
"Kay," He whispered, unenthusiastically as he exited the building and got into the passenger's seat. As soon as he did, the mall's shutters went down, covering the windows and all exits, putting the building under complete lockdown.
"Okay Jin," Oliver said, as he lifted the brake and pulled the gear to drive.
"Yes sir!" The voice that had stayed silent answered through Oliver's com-device, loud enough for Akira to hear.
As they drove away, they could here the fading screams of the people inside the building they had created chaos in.
