Ashlin pain ignorance to the meaning behind such a magnificent show in night skies. She simply brushed it off as a wonderful coincidence yet those who witness this brilliant show knew the significance of this sign. Ashlin cooed to the bundle of joy wrappef in her hands to which her son released a cheerful sound. Joy spread as children along with their mothers gathered to give blessings. They saw him as the son of heaven reincarnate, it was partly true but he was so much more. His mother gaze down with loving eyes as he grasp onto her pinky, Ashlin couldn't stop her laughter from erupting.
"Have you chosen a name for him?" Star, the cheif's youngest daughter asked with a kind smile.
"Yes, Lycaren Benuu" her eyes never left the newborn yet there was a sadness in her heart, one she can not deny.
She felt as though something was missing but Ashlin had no idea, what it was. Her memories are blurred and distorted; a labyrinth slash maze without an exit trail. Heart yearn for the unknown with fear on close approuch. Once baby Lyca had fallen asleep. Ashlin wonder outside, a flower covered meadow near the forest. Brilliant moon shone over head as she breathe deeply trying to release the frustration and sadness starting to eat her alive.
In the Underworld
Lucan and Layton sat in their shared office, silence was a new norm as the joy and laughter was plucked away from them. Lucan suffered from a grieving heart after multiple searches, his lover was no where to be found. In honesty, he was close to losing all hope when Cleus ran in, with a huge smile. He urged the brothers to go outside and ,after many failed attempts he was able to convince them.
Lucan was taken aback as his eyes landed on the night sky, tears brimmed his eyes with words getting lost in his throat. Truthfully, there was nothing he could say to express the joy and utter relief knowing his child was now, in this world. Layton hugged his twin laughing hysterically, eyes overfill soon spilling.
"Where can they be?" Cleus turned to Layton.
" How should I know? Idiot! You're the one who carried her everywhere with you" Layton smacked the back of this friend's head.
"Are you saying it's my fault we can't find her?" Cleus pouted gazing sadly at his friends.
"Not entirely" Layton snickered as cleus pout worsen.
They stared curious as Lucan entered the tall building without a single word. His steps seemed almost robotic as though his body moved without his consent. The idiotic pair followed closely, catching him as he fell; Lucan's face was covered in sadness and no one could understand how pained, he felt. They carried him back to the office, placing him on the large sofa. Many thoughts raced through Lucan's mind and all pertained to his child. He wondered if it was a boy or girl and their name, surely Ashlin had chosen something wonderful. He longed to see Ashlin's mischievous grin; the one she wore when there was nothing good on her mind. Surely, she's wearing that awe-filled look gazing at our baby in her arms, maybe she's introducing you to her first love; starry night sky.
"Don't worry, we'll find them" Layton spoke as though reading his twin's thoughts, "We'll find them before he does" his eyez grew dark, biting his lip.
In an unknown realm
Neil sat on a branch gazing at the night sky, he had never seen such a breathtaking sight. Rainbow colours danced across the skies as the shower continued causing a smile to play on his lips. She had done the forbidden, committed the unspeakable sin; sinister laugh echo through the darken forest. His pores stood at attention and head spun with excitement of what's to come.
"Neil? I've been looking everywhere for you" her melodic voice echoed, "wow, I've never seen the sky look like that?" A blonde child appeared besides the tall male, "What does it mean big brother?" Her silver eyes gaze to the male.
"Oh Draey, you don't know what this means?" She shook her head causing blonde curls to bounce.
"It's the birth of someone powerful, someone the heaven's have been waiting for" Neil expain in a gentle tone as Draey looked at him puzzled.
"But you said whatever that woman gave birth too, is forbidden"
"It is but unlike everything ever created, this child can not be destroyed" Draey eyes widened, "This child will be a gem of both Heaven and Hell causing an uproar of who deserves the power more. Quiet the ordeal for an Archangel much less the princess of Heaven. The only creature allowed to sit upon thrones, the same level of God and his son" Neil patted Draey's head lovingly.
"She's really important, isnt she?" Draey looked to her older brother who nod, "Is that, the reason you wanted her?" Neil shook his head with a smile.
"I met her before, I doubt she remembers that day....... surely, her father erased those parts of her life" They jumped from the branch landing gracefully on forest floor covered by dried leafs.
"Was your meeting so memorable?" Her curious eyes looking forward to the endless void of darkness.
"Yes, it was. Ashlin wasn't always contained to Heaven nor was I always contained to this void realm" he held her hand, "I once journey through Earth occasionally sneaking her with me... back then Ashlin was fascinated by every inch of creation and always questioned what existed. Up there, she was an outcast; going against the rules naturally. How can you not admire a shining light? Ashlin was a fresh wind Heaven wasn't ready for, so they conformed her in their image and ways. Now, everything is simply a lost time she doesn't care to remember" Neil smiled but Draey could see the hurt and pain in his eyes.
Anger rolled off of him in waves, "Now there's a war upon the horizon, one he didn't see coming. I'm excited to see what's coming, the destruction you've created" Neil broke into a sinister laugh, "I can wait to witness the show" they disappeared into the darkness yet his laughter linger in the stagnant air of a deserted forest.
