When Daeun and Taehyung came back into the house, the only thing that could be heard was Suga and Jeongguk screaming over each other. "Stay out of my damn personal affairs!"
"I don't have to when it concerns my damn sister!" Their voices boomed over each other. Daeun instantly grew irritated when Suga called her his sister.
She walked in between the two who looked like they were ready to throw some punches. "Get out," Her words were directed towards her brother but no one could tell who she was truly speaking to since her head was down. No one made a move to leave. "Min Yoongi, that was meant for you," She snapped as she picked her head up to stare at him. Her eyes were dark.
"You have no right to walk in here and act as if you care about me after all these damn years, Yoongi. You know you don't. I don't know what your relationship with Jeongguk is but don't think that you have any control over how we are with each other. You've made my life a living hell, just stay out of it and stay away from me."
Daeun turned around, making her way toward Taehyung. "Coming Jeongguk?" Jeongguk didn't hesitate to follow Daeun.
The three of them walked towards the front door of Jeongguk's apartment, but before Jeongguk walked out he turned back to Yoongi with eyes he's never seen on Jeongguk before. Murderous. "I want you out of my apartment before I get back."
Yoongi knew exactly what Jeongguk was capable of and he didn't want the test him. As the door shut, Yoongi allowed himself to drop on the couch. "Fuck-" The word escaped his lips in irritation.
The three of them walked in silence. Daeun was off in a daze, Yoongi stuck in her head. She had always wished that he'd come back for her, that he'd come to save her. But he's been here the entire time.
He's been here.
He's been here.
The words repeated in her head, her anger growing every second. "HE WAS HERE!" She suddenly shouted making both Jeongguk and Taehyung stop walking.
Before they could ask her what was going on she turned on her heels and darted back towards Jeongguk's apartment. They rushed to follow her. She slammed the door open revealing Yoongi who was just about to open the door himself.
Daeun's hand enclosed around Yoongi's collar dragging him closer to herself. "You were here this entire time?!" Yoongi's eyes were wide as he stared down at his little sister. "Answer me, dammit! You've been here this entire time? You haven't thought once to come and check up on me? To see how I was doing. Or if I was still alive? Have I even pasted your mind? Huh? Ever since you left it's been worse. Not only was it him, but it was that dumb bitch Mina too!" Daeun released a humorless laugh.
"You remember her don't you, Yoongi?" Yoongi gulped harshly as he fell victim to his sister's icy glare. "I had to be the one to get the backlash for everything that YOU'VE done. Think that's fair? DO YOU?" Daeun's grip tightened on Yoongi's collar as tears pooled out of her eyes. Her jaw was clenched as she waited for Yoongi to say something.
Jeongguk and Taehyung stood by the entrance, far enough so that they wouldn't be intervening. Yoongi's shaky hands slowly reached up to cup Daeun's face. She flinched when she felt his cold finger brush against her face. Yoongi's arm enclosed around her shoulders, dragging her into him, embracing her.
Daeun's entire body stiffened. She clung to her brother as she sobbed heavily into his shoulder. Her hands fisted his shirt as she screamed out her pain, showing him just how broken she truly was without him around these past couple of years.
Yoongi held back some sobs of his own, hating the fact that he's one of the reasons that she is in this immense amount of pain. "I'm sorry, Daeun-ah. I really am. I didn't want to leave you behind, it was never mine or mom's intention. We wanted nothing more than to come back and fight for you, but unfortunately, we were at a disadvantage."
Daeun was slowly starting to calm down, trying her best to absorb Yoongui's words. After sighing softly Yoongi continued; "Yeong had a steady income, and other than his drinking problem, the court would've seen him as a better fit as a parent- for the both of us. Mom said that she refused to let one of her kids go through it, let alone both. She has been trying so hard these past few years. She's been trying to get on her feet and come back for you, Mini. We moved back recently because mom was finally stable enough to come and get you. To save you." Yoongi whispered the last couple of words making Daeun break down even harder.
She couldn't stop. It seemed like every emotion that she's been bottling inside since Yoongi left was finally coming out. The lid was finally off. It broke Jeongguk and Taehyung's hearts to see her like this. Vulnerable. "Please same me, Yoons. I can't take it anymore." Tears now began to stream down Yoongi's cheeks.
Yoongi tightened his grip on Daeun. "I will, I promise."
