The sound of a piano filled the air setting a calming atmosphere. Yoongi's fingers moved swiftly against the keyboard, allowing the outside world to be forgotten. The only thing that had his attention were the dozen of notes written on the paper.
Pausing, Yoongi stared at the papers sitting on top of the piano. "Eomma," he called out softly. "Mianhae (I'm sorry)."
Closing his eyes, Yoongi continued to move his fingers along the piano, allowing his melody to fill the silent air. A single tear shed from his eye, his face in complete peace.

Taehyung darted through the hallways, his breathing heavy. He bumped into a few of the students, yelling apologies at them as he continued.
When he finally came to a halt, he grabbed his chest, heaving for a breath. Jimin and Daeun looked at him with wide eyes. "I- got- news-"
Taehyung breathed out each word.
Jimin gently patted Taehyung's back. Daeun looked at Jimin with confusion. "He's trying to catch his breath, not choking."
Jimin stopped patting Taehyung's back with an awkward expression. Taehyung slaps Jimin's back before muttering a thankful.
"So, Mr. Gwan got fired."
Taehyung quickly mustered the news out. Daeun eyes widened while Jimin looked unfazed as if he had already known.
"How come?" She questioned.
Shrugging his shoulders, Taehyung looked lost. "There are too many rumors going around right now."
Nodding her head, Daeun looked around watching all of the student's gossip over the news.
"But it doesn't make sense," Jimin voiced. "He was just hired at the beginning of the year."
"Well, apparently whatever he did violates his contract on multiple levels. So the school had no choice but to void his contract."
Taehyung explained to the two who nodded in understanding. "That means they're going to have to find someone to fill in his places," Jimin muttered.
Daeun huffed out air, "they can never seem to find a replacement in time."
Taehyung rolled his eyes at the incompetence of his school before tossing his arm over Daeun's shoulder. "We'll whoever subs the class, you have to behave."
Daeun pulled a face of annoyance before shrugging Taehyung's arm off of her. Daeun paused when a familiar face walked down the hallway. Staring at them, tears brimming her eyes.
"Yoongi?"
Jimin and Taehyung looked shocked. They quickly ushered Daeun away from him before he could see her. She mindlessly walked with them, completely shocked.
Jeongguk spotted them but before he could call out to them, they rushed straight past him.
Stuck in complete and utter confusion, Jeongguk continued his way towards his locker, grabbing his books for his first hour of classes. The sound of someone clearing their throat caused Jeongguk to pause for a second before turning his head.
"We need to talk," Yoongi spoke up.
Jeongguk looked at him with wide eyes. "What the hell are you doing here?"
Yoongi shrugged his shoulders, not giving Jeongguk a direct answer. Jeongguk looked back towards the direction that Daeun, Jimin, and Taehyung were walking. It adds up as to why they were acting the way that they were.
Yoongi harshly slapped Jeongguk back to gain his attention back. "We need to talk."
Yoongi repeated himself, This time his voice was stern and not giving Jeongguk room to negotiate.
Jeongguk looked at Yoongi with dull eyes and a poker-face. Waiting for Jeongguk to reply, Yoongi raised his brow, slightly annoyed. "Jeon?"
Pushing past Yoongi, Jeongguk opened his locker. Throwing his bag inside before grabbing his books for class. "Sorry, Min Yoongi. But I don't have time to talk right now. I'm going to be late to class."
With that, Jeongguk stormed away from Yoongi who stood there speechless. Jeongguk visibly looked irritated, hating that his morning was already ruined. Entering the classroom he immediately noticed the way Taehyung and Jimin were hovering over a dazed-out Daeun.
Taehyung whispered to Daeun with a worried expression. Daeun absentmindedly nodded her head. Jeongguk breathed out a breath while looking at her with a pitiful expression. He felt bad for her. Although he couldn't possibly sympathize with her, he still wanted to do his best to be there for her.
He wanted to be the person that she could turn to whenever she was having a hard time, whether he could actually be of help or she just wanted comfort from him. Either or, he was fine with it. As long as it meant that she turned to him first. He couldn't understand his feelings towards Daeun.
It was something he never experienced before. Not with anyone else in the world. Yet. With her. It was different. He had the constant need to protect her and shelter her from everything bad in the world.
Daeun was becoming more and more intriguing to Jeongguk. No matter how he looked at it, it was unnatural for him to feel this way over someone he barely knows.
Jeongguk quickly snapped out of his daydream when he heard Taehyung calling his name. He shook away his thoughts and wander over to the trio.
"She's been out of it," Taehyung pointed out once Jeongguk was close enough. "I think she's in shock."
Jeongguk nodded his head before squatting down beside Daeun. "Da?"
He called out to her, his voice gentle and soft, almost as if he were speaking to a child. Her head turned towards him. Jeongguk looked taken aback when he noticed Daeun's empty expression. Her eyes were dull and her face was pale.
"Daeun? What's wrong?"
Even though he had already known the answer he wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt to express herself to him. Her eyes wandered over his face, noticing the worried expression on his face. "He's here."
Jeongguk released a breath that he seemed to have been holding. Daeun looked at him, waiting for him to say something.
"Okay," Jeongguk whispered. His hand cupped Daeun's cheek making her shiver at his cold fingertips grazing over her cheeks. "Are you okay to handle this for the day? Just until we can figure out a solution?"
Daeun instantly nodded her head, trusting that Jeongguk would help. Jimin looked between the two with suspicious eyes.
Jimin knew.
He knew that whatever was going on between the two wouldn't end well. Daeun has never had someone besides Taehyung who had been by her side since she was five. To have someone like this in her life at this point in time will destroy Daeun, for the simple fact that she couldn't let go.
Daeun knew.
She knew that Jeongguk would either make or break her.
Yet-
She refused to let him pass her by just because of her fear of leaning on people. Fear of loving. And the fear of being loved.
Whether it makes or breaks her. She wanted no regrets with him.
"You'll help me?" Daeun asked Jeongguk. The tremble in her voice broke Jeongguk.
Quickly nodding his head, Jeongguk tugged Daeun into a hug. "Of course. Whatever you need, Da."
