Jeongguk stared out the window of his apartment. Watching as the cars and people passed by his apartment. Watching the rain patter against his window and listened to the thunder rumble around the sky.
Daeun had stayed at Taehyung's for the night for the simple fact that it was the only place that Yoongi couldn't find her. It seemed as if she solved one problem just to move onto the next one.
Jeongguk sighed heavily before sliding off his windowsill. Then paced around his apartment a few times before finally sinking into his couch. His elbows rested on his thighs as his face hid in his hands.
Getting involved with Daeun wasn't something that Jeongguk had in mind when moving back home, but at the same time, he felt as if he was supposed to.
Jeongguk was involved with Daeun as both himself and Bunny.
"What the hell am I supposed to do now?"
Jeongguk groaned in frustration as he tugged on his hair. His hands slip from his hair and run down his face.
Something wasn't adding up.
~~~
Yoongi paced around the living room, the sound of his shoes slamming against the floor echoed throughout the semi-empty apartment.
Suddenly stopping, Yoongi breathed out heavily.
"This isn't going to work."
Yoongi said, muttering quietly to himself. He stood still his breathing uneven. His eyes darted around the room until they landed on a photo.
He shakily moved toward the photo, his fingers brushing over the frame of it. The picture was of him and Daeun. Younger Yoongi held Daeun tight while smiling brightly while Daeun stuck her tongue, pulling a funny face. A sad smile took over Yoongi's features.
He missed his little sister, desperately. Yet, he knew that he wasn't going to win her trust that easily. He had a long way to go before Daeun would even acknowledge the fact that he was there to help her. Yoongi sighed before placing the picture back down on the stand.
Daeun stared at Taehyung as he typed away on his computer. "Yah, Taehyungie."
Taehyung turned around to face her with a questioning expression. "Yeah, Dae?"
Daeun wiggled off of Taehyung's bed, walking up to him. "I have a question," she muttered. "Okay, so I need someone to explain this to me. How are we going this again?" She asked.
Taehyung sighed before shutting his computer, giving Daeun his undivided attention. "Al you need to worry about is staying out of plain sight. We don't know what it is that Yoongi wants and it'll be hard to keep you out of whatever he's got going on if you keep being found."
Daeun nodded her head in understanding, "but what about school?"
Taehyung deadpanned Daeun. "You're really dense. You know that? I've told you seven times already. Seven," he exaggerated.
Daeun rolled her eyes at her friend. "No you haven't. All you keep saying is, you won't be going," she exclaims, dropping her voice to make herself sound like Taehyung.
"Okay, first of all, I do NOT sound like that. And second of all, you're on medical leave. Meaning we have about two weeks before the school starts suspecting something is wrong. Get it? Got it? Good," Taehyung snapped out.
Daeun sulked toward Taehyung who seemed completely unbothered by his best friend acting like an absolute child. "So what the hell am I supposed to do for the next two weeks?"
Taehyung sighed before pinching the bridge of his nose. "Daeun, please. We will figure it out. Just, I'm begging, one problem at a time."
Daeun pulled a face and rolled her eyes like a two-year-old. Taehyung noticed and glared at Daeun. She quickly threw her hands up to surrender, not wanting to pick a fight with Taehyung who was already aggravated.
Allowing Taehyung to do what he was doing, Daeun played on her phone, staying in her own little bubble. She smiled at the screen. Taehyung peeked over at Daeun who wasn't paying him any mind.
He was concerned for her. In less than two months, Daeun had managed to turn her entire life upside down. The only good thing that came out of all of this was Daeun leaving her fathers house. Yes, she was house hopping at the moment, but she removed herself from the abusive situation, something most people her age, even older, can't seem to do. Yet, Daeun did it.
Yet, after leaving one thing in her past behind, another issue from the past arises causing more problems. Daeun was the type to be good under pressure, but there was only so much pressure a person could take before they finally snapped.
To Taehyung, at this point, Daeun was nothing more than a ticking time bomb. Sighing, Taehyung turned his focus back to the textbooks sitting in front of him, studying for his exam.
He was hoping that no mattered what happened within the next few weeks, Daeun would end up with the happy ending that she deserved.
