Cameron Dallas plays Jackson
I arrived at camp on Friday with the rest of the councelors. The camp director told us there were 10 of us and we would each be looking after one cabin which would be six boys.
There were 8 boys and 2 girl councelors. We would all have a smaller cabin with one roommate. My name is Jackson I am fifteen years old. I came to this camp when I was younger. This camp holds boys from ages 9 to 11.
The two girls obviously had to be roommates. Then some of the boys had been there the year prior so they partnered up and unfortunately I was left with this one boy. It was unfortunate because I was gay and he was definitely the most attractive one there.
He was almost six feet tall he had perfect white teeth, an amazing smile, his hair looked perfect as though he just wakes up and it looks that good, he wasn't skinny nor fat he had a little muscle to him. He was so gorgeous.
He locked eyes with me after realizing everyone else had partnered up. He put his hand out "Hi I'm Levi." He smiled at me as I looked down because I was sure I was blushing "do you want to be roommates?"
I nodded without looking up, not trusting my face to remain a normal color.
After that the director gave us instructions on when to wake the children up, when they should be in bed, when meal times were, and that she would be giving us our list as to when our cabins would be doing certain things. Then she told us to go check on our cabins and put our stuff away the kids would be there Monday.
Levi and I walked to cabin 4 the one we received the key for. "Which side do you want?" He asked once we got inside. "Closer to the bathroom or?"
"Either is fine."
He nodded as he put his stuff on the bed away from the bathroom. I put mine on the other bed. I went and looked in the bathroom there was a sign on the shower saying 10 minutes a day. There was a sink with a small countertop and a toilet.
My hair is brown too I also have brown eyes. The next few days I tried to stay away from him as much as possible. I ate with just the two girls while all the boys ate together.
On Monday when all the campers arrived I finally checked my schedule and low and behold mine matched up with Levi's. The director said two cabins would be together which had to mean to councelors I just didn't put it together that I would have to work with someone else.
The first couple days we went canoeing at first we had to make sure that all our campers were able to swim then we had to teach them the correct way to get into the canoe so they didn't tip it over. After we taught them how to paddle in general then how to paddle in a way that will get you where your trying to go. This was done in two days separated by lunch each day.
The next two days we went swimming and Levi and I were getting tans for when we got home. I was spending more time with him because we had to sit with our campers for meals and since they spent the days together mine and Levi's campers were good friends even if they didn't sleep in the same cabin.
He and I actually started talking which was not good because it just made me like him more. I loved hearing his voice and his laugh. I found out about his family, how he had three sisters two older one younger. His mom was a doctor and his dad used to play professional baseball. He was 16 loved to play music and sing.
He of course asked about me and I told him I played drums and was in theater. I had a younger brother and my mom was sick with cancer and my dad was an accountant.
When I said this about my mom he hugged me. "I'm so sorry." I shook my head. "It's ok. They told her she had at most one year to live and that was over two years ago."
I have known him less then a week but I still really liked him. I liked being around him even if we were just talking about stupid things. Some nights we would go back to the cabin he would play music he likes and sing.
I always woke up earlier then him to take my shower first. On Friday it was a free day because that night we were going to all sit next to the camp fire and talk about what we did this week and if we liked it.
Free day means most people are in the lake. I was even swimming and talking to Levi. He splashed me which started a war. We did that for about an hour then went and layed on the grass next to lake and dried off.
By the time we dried off it was lunch time and we went into eat. That night all of our campers said that their week was amazing. When we were about to go to bed one of my campers stopped me and asked if we could talk. I nodded told Levi I would he there in a few minutes.
"Do you need any help?"
I looked at the camper whose name was Robert and he shook his head.
"No we will be ok. I will be there in a few minutes."
He nodded and walked away back to our cabin.
"I think I'm gay." He said looking at the ground.
"Ok that's alright Robert. How can I help you?"
"I'm not sure. You can call me Robbie by the way. I just can't tell my parents about it and I'm not sure if I can ever tell anyone."
"why did you tell me then Robbie?"
"Maybe I'm just seeing things but the way you look at Levi and the way he looks at you I just thought."
"You thought I had a thing for Levi? Well I am gay but Levi and I are just friends."
"You are? Oh good I just thought I was crazy."
"You're not crazy Robbie but..."
He cut me off. "You guys are so sweet together"
"He isn't gay. As I said even if I had a crush on him he isn't gay. Look I'm not sure what you wanted me to tell you. If there's a guy here or at school you like then just be friends with him first. Friends are always important no matter what."
He was smiling. "Thanks Jackson. Friends first. Got it."
"Now it's getting late and you should honestly go to bed." He nodded and started walking back to his cabin. After I saw him go inside I walked back to my cabin.
When I walked in the door a couple other councelors were in there talking and laughing with Levi.
"Hey Jackson they just invited us to a party tomorrow night. After the campers go to bed." Levi looked at me smiling because these were the boys he was friends with the first few days and hadn't really seen much of since.
I nodded. "Doesn't that sound fun?" He asked me. I just nodded again.
They said their goodbyes and left. "We don't have to go if you don't want to. I don't want to go unless you do." He said sounding cautious.
"No Levi it's fine. That sounds fun especially if you want to go."
He smiled looking very excited that I was willing to go. We both layed in bed then he remembered and said "oh yeah what did Robert need? Is he alright? "
"Yeah no he was ok he just needed to know how to deal with a situation."
He nodded and yawned saying goodnight.
So what about that first chapter?
