Breakfast was a quiet affair. Young Jae realised Min Jun needed the quiet time and let him be. Even though the curiosity of what happened nagged him, he didn't want to intrude. The phone call made him think that whatever happened between Henry and Min Jun sounded painful and intimate.
One thing stuck in Young Jae's head was how Min Jun was continuously praising the other guy irrespective of him behaving recklessly and getting drunk to the extent of not knowing what he was doing? Young Jae wondered for a while. 'Why did Min Jun praised the other guy for bare minimum such as answering back. That too to make his reckless boyfrie… nope... argh... friends with beni... whatever… safe… I could never understand the relationship between Min Jun and Henry. Too complicated for me…'
Young Jae let out a sigh as he accepted his failure to understand them, but it got Min Jun's attention.
"What happened Hyung? Why are you sighing like that?" The question got Young Jae off guard.
He was quiet for a while. 'Empty mind is the devil's workshop. He is sitting in his high throne, making me poke my head in others personal business' Young Jae decided to at least partially fulfil the curiosity and asked what was bothering him.
"I am just curious. I know it was intruding, but I want to know what happened between you and Henry? We never got to talk about it last night because of me. I told you I would listen but ended up with my own mess. I also didn't know if I can ask you if you want to talk about it. I am sorry." Young Jae rambled on in his guilt.
Min Jun found Young Jae's rambling amusing and let out a hearty laughter.
He did not even have energy in him to smile after the call. But hearing Young Jae blabber without any mouth filter out of worry warmed his heart.
"Hyung! You just proved that you are Chin Hae Hyung's cousin with all your unnecessary over-thinking. You can ask me anything. If I do not feel like talking about it, I would tell you I don't want to talk about it. Simple. Don't stress it out." Min Jun said after his laughter.
"Okay..." was all Young Jae could utter. He was struggling to put his thoughts as word across.
He did not know what to ask more.
"Are you okay?" After raking his brain, Young Jae settled for something that was less offensive and invading.
"Nope. I am not okay. Things are a little too complicated for me to handle at the moment because I am far away. I hope I settle it once I reach Germany." Min Jun told Young Jae honestly.
Min Jun was getting restless as things were getting complicated. All he wanted to do was to fix it and get a peaceful life.
"Is there anything you could do to make things better?" Young Jae settled for a hypothetical question.
A sad smile graced Min Jun's face. "There is. Break a friends heart, apologise to another friend, if possible try to make peace with them, if not just leave them alone."
"But I don't think you like your plan."
"Maybe because I don't. All three of us are going to get hurt, and it is not nice."
"Three???"
"Me, Henry and Mathias. You sure you wanna hear my story?" Min Jun asked. Even though he had plans to talk about his problems last night, it did not happen. He thought fate did not want that to happen. But now he was overwhelmed with everything that happened in the morning, and he decided to talk.
'What worse could come out of it? Talking to the strangers were always better than people who know me well and get criticised just because they know me.' with that thought Min Jun decided to open up to the stranger who was his senior's friend.
But the truth Min Jun spoke without holding back really played a crucial role in future when Min Jun decided to chase after Young Jae and court him.
"Mathias was the first friend I made in Germany. When he was away on a business trip, his mother had an unexpected accident. Baby-doll helped Mathias take care of his mother until he reached, and somehow she dragged me along. Three of us became best friends way too faster than we would ever know. Then I met Henry. Both of us were not looking for anything serious, so we decided to be friends with benefits. When Baby-doll met Henry, they got along quite faster. You could never see her being soft and smiling with anyone that easily. Soon they became very close like siblings. Four of us used to hang out a lot."
"Almost half a year later, the problem started when Mathias started to fall for the guy I am sleeping with. But he kept everything in his heart and suffered. It took me a while to realise what was happening to my friend. When I did, he denied it."
