Chapter 53 - Back 2 school, CH 53

(Monday, early in the morning)

The angels were wearing their academy uniforms. They were returning to school today since the dean had requested they return to resume studies. Honestly Kyle wasn't too excited about it but what could he do.

Everybody had gathered in the dining room and were enjoying breakfast. Sheila avoided her usual mug of tea and decided to simply eat a cookie. The silence filled the entire room but it was suddenly broken when the knocking of a door was heard. Everybody peered to the dining room door to see who had knocked.

The doors opened slowly to reveal a single person. Standing in the doorway was a maid holding a few books in her hand. She looked to be having trouble with them. Kyle got up from his seat and assisted her in carrying them and placing them on the table. There were a total of 7 books with only 2 of them being familiar to the angels.

"What are these books for..."

"Consider them a gift from me to you."

Sheila didn't look up from her plate and simply chewed on her snack. The maid beside her explained a bit more.

"The books are a gift from Mistress Sheila to you. They each contain a different topic of study for your business study test. She hopes for you to pass with flying colors."

Kyle looked to Sheila expecting some sort of expression but was only met with a face covered in cookie crumbs.

"If you don't want them then just tell me. I can take them back to the study myself."

"No, we appreciate them. We promise to get good grades on the test!"

Kyle found himself to be smiling at Sheila's goodwill. The books were quite resourceful but the action of giving them to the angels was considerate. Kyle wasted no time in placing them in his dimensional rift. The books disappeared from view and Kyle returned to his seat. Everybody resumed eating their breakfast in peaceful silence.Everyone but Hannah who had a rather worried expression.

Eventually the angels had gathered everything they needed to resume their studies. But this time Kyle and Alicia had their weapons on them if another emergency arose. The angels looked smart and beautiful as they walked out of the mansion gates. Sheila watched them from her doorway and silently returned back inside.

The angels quietly walked through the scholar district enjoying the fresh air. Everything about this district seemed so serene and peaceful but the angels still had bad memories about it. The angels soon arrived at the academy gates and silently headed for the building that let them return to the campus. A student council member was waiting for them by the door with a sly smile.

"Well... I never imagined I would meet you here."

The angels stopped in their tracks when they found Sandee standing at the entrance of the building. He looked calm and composed but Kyle had no idea who he was.

"You're Sandee from the student council, right?"

"I'm so glad you still remember me Madam Hannah! I was assigned to stand here to inspect students entering the academy. That being said please present your medallions for identification."

The angels looked at each other and shrugged. What harm would come from giving him their medallions.

Sandee inspected the Medallions closely with his smile fading. He returned them and allowed the angels entry with no further interference. The angels walked past Sandee and into the campus through a rather large portal within the building.

***************

Sandee couldn't help but smile as he watched the angels disappear from view into the portal. The angels had accomplished a rather impressive achievement.

"They defeated an ancient. Even though they barely know a lot of spells they managed to do it. Perhaps they don't even grasp just what they did."

Sandee was well aware of the ancient Zora. He had been studying a lot into the history of the world. He probably knew a lot more than even the locals. The problem was that what he had found out could prove fatal if he was found.

{Guess our protagonists better remember time waits for nobody, not even us gods.}

***********************

The angels had returned to the academy courtyard and there was little activity. Students seemed to either still be sleeping or were confining themselves in the buildings. Either way the angels didn't mind as they headed towards the classes building. They needed to prove attendance then learn for the day.

On their way they passed the academy park where groups of students were carefully attending to the flower patches and plants. A few students waved to the passing angles who waved in turn but didn't stop moving.

When they entered their classroom they found something rather disturbing waiting for them. A smug looking Deloris was standing by the professor's desk with a large pile of papers in his arm. His face clearly showed pride as he looked directly at the angels.

"You guys are early! Usually it's me and Ezekiel who are here in class this early."

Deloris placed the papers onto the desk and stretched his rather burly arms. He then walked towards the angels and did something surprising.

"Want to go to the Crypt?"

***************

Deloris and the angels were siting comfortably in a corner of the Crypt(TM). There were a few student waiters and waitresses and their table was served rather quickly. The angels were treated to a rather large apple pie and a pile of sandwiches. They had their breakfast earlier but what harm could a few more snacks do.

Everybody took a slice of the pie first and ate the sandwiches one at a time. They spoke in short conversations not really interested in anything other than the meal.

Soon everything had been eaten and the group was relaxing comfortably before Deloris started up a conversation.

"Have you guys heard about the business studies test this Thursday?"

"Yea we did. The problem is how exactly are we supposed to conduct it."

"Well apparently we're expected to do a practical test over the course of a month. Which probably means we will have reduced classes for a while..."

"A MONTH?!"

"Yes... it's supposed to be an interactive test for future merchants and possible retailers. The specifics are classified but the test is supposed to be an exciting one."

"How do you know?"

"I asked the dean about it. The fellow was rather talkative about it."

Kyle watched Deloris closely but saw no change in expression. He was probably telling the truth.

Hannah nodded silently and got up from her comfortable seating and stretched a bit. She could imagine how the test would be carried out but there was no way to be sure until it actually happened. She looked towards her friends and dropped a few silver coins on the table.

"We should probably get to class soon. What were those papers you were holding earlier in class, Deloris?"

"Oh, those things were handouts form the student council."

"What were they about?"

"They wanted everybody in class to pick a club they end of the month. There were also a few other things about the next school event or something like that."

"The next school event? What's that?"

"Why it's the Class wars between the First and Second years."

"What..."
