Hannah sat between Alicia and Kyle with a slight pout on her face. She tapped the long desk with her index finger in a slow rhythm. She was not in a good mood right now.
"Why is the first lesson business studies?..."
"You haven't even tried it yet, so why are you whining?"
"I'm not whining!! I just really see no reason to be learning business studies and besides... I wanted to start enchantry classes as soon as possible."
"Well, if the kingdom wants to have a steady interracial economy, of course, they would teach business to their own people at a young age. It's not like they made their curriculum specifically for us three."
"Ouch... no need to be so blatant, but I guess I understand."
Nanette eyed the three angels who were sitting right beside her. The professor had entered class only six minutes ago, and yet they seemed tired. She was sitting right next to the boy she had met two days ago in that waiting room. She wasn't really sure of how to start a conversation topic, so she had kept quiet all throughout class... waiting for Kyle to start a conversation.
Alicia was writing what was being taught on an empty book she had taken earlier from the bookshelves in the room. Kyle had stored it in his dimensional rift for her with a couple more things for convenience. The professor was droning on about resources and the common effects on the entire world population. She asked a few questions from time to time, and the one who answered the most so far was Nanette. Hannah looked at Nanette and asked her a question.
"Do you wish to be a merchant or something related to that?"
"What? no! I was just taught about these things when I was younger..."
Nanette turned her head away to hide her slight blush as she pushed her index fingers against each other. Hannah chuckled slightly and returned to her pouting as she placed her chin onto the desk. Kyle was silent as he watched the professor walk from side to side on the podium. He wasn't really paying attention; he was busy thinking on all that his alternate had shown him.
[We're all doomed... I need to have a talk with Jesus about this. Obviously, he knows what's going to happen.]
Kyle stayed silent for the rest of the lesson, and Alicia was hungry. Hannah was happy to hear that their next class was going to be contemporary history, which better suited her interests. A few students at the back row exchanged seats before the next professor arrived.
The first professor bid her goodbyes right before the next professor walked in with an enormous book in his arms. He greeted the first professor as she left the class and gave a single glance towards the students before placing his book on a desk beside him.
He cleaned the blackboards behind him, denying the help from the student who usually did it. He then faced the students and clapped loudly twice just to make sure he had everyone's attention. When he saw no strange reactions, he nodded and opened his enormous book while picking a stick of chalk.
"Hello, my name is professor Willow and I shall be your contemporary history advisor. I would like to believe that some of you at least have a book to write in. Today I am here to teach of the oldest known records of civilization. I'm sure that the majority are aware of it since most parents these days tell it as bedtime stories."
"Anyway... during the time between the 1700s and 2100s, the world was experiencing a world war that had started from the southern region of the Kalos continent. The exact reason it started is not known, but it's believed to have been some sort of dispute between the humans and the dragons. There were also records of beasts from unknown origins invading our world. These beasts supposedly wreaked havoc across the world. With all this happening more than half the world population ended up dead and several races went extinct as well. The pixies and giants were the first races to go extinct."
"These were troubling times until a new age had appeared in the late 1800s as heroes. It was an age when 12 individuals who came from another world helped the world by exterminating the beasts and helping us settle our differences. I knew this age as the age of hero queens. According to the records, the 12 were actually all females. They were the founders of the 12 magic forms that our world recognizes today. They also did other impressive things, but those will be for another lesson."
The professor was now wearing a grand smile and talked about certain locations where monuments were built for these heroes. Kyle was listening sharply and a low growl was rising within his throat, but he kept it under control. Hannah was already aware of the history of the individuals as she had read it earlier in Sheila's study. Alicia found it boring overall and just started drawing fruits in her book instead.
Nanette was paying close attention while writing quick notes.

(One and a half-hour later)
The angels were sitting at a bench within the eastern academy park. The tree branches above them swayed peacefully in the small breeze. Kyle was eating an apple slice as he stared at the flower patch growing opposite of where they were sitting. There were actually four people sitting on the bench, and the fourth was Nanette.
She fiddled with her snack box that contained her snacks. Alicia had asked if Nanette would like to tag along with them, and she instantly said yes.
Now here they were sitting on a long wooden bench with only one of them seeming to enjoy himself.
"Hey, Nanette..."
"Hm?"
"I wouldn't suppose you're able to do ice magic?"
"Yes, I can. Why do you ask?"
"I was hoping to learn a bit from someone. Do you mind helping someone like me?"
"Oh um, sure!"
Kyle smiled at Nanette's reply as he took his last bite of the apple slice. He then stood up from the bench, startling the reading Hannah. Alicia simply watched as he stretched his muscles and helped Nanette off the bench in a gentlemanly behaviour. She found this odd for someone like Kyle to be wanting to do something in a rush.
Kyle said goodbye to Hannah and Alicia as he walked off with Nanette towards the training grounds. They walked past the classes building and past the club building. As they approached the large sports fields for the academy, they came across more students wearing P.E uniform than academy uniform.
"Are we really doing this now!?"
"Yes, is that not fine with you?"
"No... it's totally fine with me..."
The training ground was to the far east of the sports fields. They isolated it since it was a place where most magic spells were practised and that was highly destructive. They jogged around the fields to the training grounds and when they reached they could only see the dry flat ground and a few people stretched for quite a distance.
Kyle then felt as if something wasn't right.
"This is the first time I've realized it but... The academy seems quite large compared to the city it's in."
"Well, that's because the academy isn't actually in the city."
"Excuse me?"
"You aren't aware?"
"Aware of what?"
"Well... the academy isn't in Trascot city but is in a dimensional rift..."
"Eh?"
"The academy is in a dimensional rift that was found about 600 years ago by the first dean, and they built the academy in it. The part of the academy in the city is just the outpost for receiving new students."
"Woah... that's..."
Kyle tried to understand what Nanette had just told him, but she continued walking and he just silently followed? He needed to learn ice magic and thinking about the academy's past could be something he could do later.
Nanette then stopped at a spot she thought was good since the nearest students were quite a distance away. She knew also that if Kyle attempted to do anything to her, she wouldn't be able to resist. She immediately blushed at the thought and made sure Kyle couldn't notice it.
It took her a while, but when she calmed down; she turned to face the bored Kyle and spoke.
"I guess I should now teach you ice magic... but I'm wondering what spells do you want to learn?"
Kyle only displayed a sly grin as he placed his hands on his hips.
