"You want to do what?!"
"Glacial spells..."
Kyle had a calm and easy expression on his face as his fingers continuously tapped on the hem of his jacket. He really didn't understand Nanette's odd reaction for his request to learn. He had been reading a few odd books in the room revolving around elemental theorems and he came across glacial spells which was a subsidiary of ice magic.
He assumed that Nanette would be more well Informed on the topic since the book mentioned very little.
Nanette was staring at Kyle as if he had gone mad. However, after some time her expression changed to one of calmness and she explained to Kyle.
"Glacial spells are a form of magic introduced by the shinobi hero, Hanukkah who wrote a few scrolls about it but those are kept within the royal archives of the human empire to the north. I wouldn't even know how to cast a single hoarfrost yet alone an entire glacier."
Nanette thought that her explanation was simple enough for Kyle to understand and he understood perfectly.
More than she probably knew.
Kyle then moved his hands from his jacket to his pockets while idly staring at three students practicing not too far away.
"Then can you teach me Archjutsu?"
"What's that?"
"Its nothing... forget I asked."
Kyle kicked the dry soil as it caked his shoes and turned to head back to the classes building. He intended to get hold of the notebook before Hannah and Alicia would notice it was missing. The sun cast a few days of sunlight Into his eyes but he didn't seem bothered and continued on his way.
Nanette was stunned.
[Didn't he bring me all the way out here to learn ice magic... why does it feel like I no longer have any importance to him.]
Nanette believed that she was a fairly reasonable person. Seeing Kyle's actions caused something within her to snap.
Just as Kyle was walking away a steady hand landed on his shoulder and gripped tightly. Nanette had a very serious expression as she spoke with nothing but confidence.
"I can teach you Frostborne arts, it's a jutsu art taught amongst the elven nobles in the far east. I think you'll find it worth your time."
Kyle looked at Nanette with a partially confused expression.
[I was about to go to the classes building for the notebook...]

"I'm bored."
Alicia was idly twirling an ink quill in her hand. She stared as it spun wildly and came to a slow stop before twirling again. She was sitting alone with a few other students in the classroom who had decided to study during the recess.
"Honestly... what exactly are we supposed to do..."
Alicia was curious to know what exactly their mission was supposed to mean for the holy palaces. This sort of thing was quite unheard of back at home but there was nothing Alicia could say about it now.
There were a few female students sitting by the first row next to the large windows that showed the view of the academy eastern park.
These girls were writing notes for history and were enjoying themselves. Alicia watched them with a small weight of sadness on her shoulders.
"Where are the others..."
At that moment when Alicia was about to close her eyes for a nap...Hannah walked into the classroom followed by a tall, handsome youth. The boy was quickly searching the classroom with his eyes before they landed directly on Alicia.
The boy had a wide grin as he tapped Hannah's shoulder gently to gain her attention.
"Sorry, but I'm assuming that's your sister?"
"hm? oh yes, that's my sister Alicia... is there something you want from her."
Hannah's voice was polite and steady as she waited for the boy to answer. Sandee only smiled and shook his head.
"No... I was just curious. Anyways, you promised to show me your desk."
"Sure."
Hannah and Sandee headed towards Hannah's desk with only a few eyes watching them before losing interest.
So what if the new girl found herself an older boyfriend. Nobody would really care.
Hannah showed Sandee her desk and he nodded with appreciation before saying goodbye and heading back to his own class.
"Who was that?"
Alicia had her head on the desk and lazily watched as Sandee closed the classroom door after him.
"I'm not quite sure...he said he was from the student council and just wanted to know where I sit..."
Alicia frowned and looked her sister in the eye.
"But it isn't assigned sitting, is it?"
"No it isn't..."

Kyle breathed heavily as he sat down on the hard ground getting dust all over his uniform. Upon realizing the mistake he had done he got up and tried to dust it off.
"Honestly... isn't this considered as shinobi arts?"
"Yes and the same goes for all jutsus..."
Nanette had a few ice crystals stuck in her hair that was slowly melting and drenching her hair. She had tried teaching Kyle the first basic spells of Frostborne arts and ended up with only one of them being understood.
Kyle was great at learning things, she knew this now but the issue was that he had too much abundant magic in his blood.
"You almost created a [Frost pike] but ended up placing too much energy on the third symbol. If you hadn't countered it with equal energy on the rest of the symbols..."
"What would have happened?"
"We would be experiencing a temperature change that would be quite fatal... but at least you managed to get the frost shuriken spell correct."
Kyle's mood brightened as he smiled under Nanette's acknowledgement. They only had two more minutes before the next lesson and they both looked terrible. Kyle sighed to himself before he and Nanette sprinted towards the classes building before the next lesson which was supposed to be geography.
Kyle got to the classroom first with Nanette following right behind him and they burst through the classroom door to see everybody else present but the professor. They smiled and headed for their seats while getting a few odd glances at their dirty uniforms.
Alicia smiled as they took their seats and Hannah asked where they had gone off to.
Kyle answered all their questions as he summoned out their notebooks and a few textbooks. Hannah and Alicia had both asked him for these earlier.
"You want to do Shinobi arts?"
"Not specifically but I would like to try it out for some time before coming to a decision."
"I want to try out mancer magic since it's a bit more proficient in terms of effectiveness."
"Alright, that's fine by me. You're sure to do well!"
"Thanks."
Hannah and Kyle were having their own conversation just as the classroom door was swung open to reveal a very short man with a roughly combed beard and brilliant yellow eyes. He waddled onto the podium and faced the students with an unreadable expression.
He had taken his seat behind the professor's desk and placed a single leather bound notebook onto the desk.
He scratched his beard for a bit and spoke in a loud grungy voice that made the angels a bit uncomfortable.
"Is there a student named Kyle within this class?"
Kyle slowly stood up from his seat and looked at the professor.
"I am Kyle."
"You are? well, no matter... please head to the dean's office right now... you are hereby suspended."
