Linguistics had come to an end just when someone stepped into the classroom wearing a rather elegant floral dress. The person was evidently a female who carried around her an air of grace. She had shiny black hair that had been plaited into a long beautiful braid tied with a purple bow.
Her entire figure expressed the signs of nobility except for one thing.
A rather aged satchel was hanging by her hip and within it the students could catch a glimpse of a book. The woman politely greeted the linguistics professor who walked out without a word.
She then faced the students and they came to realize just what she really was.
Her eyes were thick golden rings surrounding black spheres that made everybody dazed in admiration.
"Hello, my name is Madam Nora and I shall be your combat trainer for the rest of your time in the academy. If you have guessed what I am then congratulations to you but for those who haven't, I'm a druid warlock. I'm also single for those wondering hehe..."
The professor was quite attractive and rather joyful so naturally several of the boys in the class had begun to admire her but there would always be that one fool in the class. Just waiting to ruin the hopes of his fellow living organisms.
"Why are you single?"
He sat at the far left corner right next to an open window. He was an innocent lad who just happened to be curious.
The next second a rather thick grapevine climbed up the building wall and poked it's tip through the window. Within that moment it wrapped around the lad's neck and flung him out of the building with a rather loud 'BOOM'.
None of the students were fast enough to react properly so everybody suddenly jumped at the loud sound. Except for the professor who's left hand had suddenly rested onto her aged satchel, the smile still wide on her face.
"Now let's go to the field to start your class."
★★★★★★★★★★★★
(at the training field.)
The whole class had gathered at the field in a rather short time and the madam Nora was enjoying a grape that she had grown right next to her. She stared at the red soil gathering on her shoes and without looking at the students she simply said,
"I shall first make sure everybody can convert mana appropriately so if you don't mind please form groups of five then find your own spaces, I'll be back in five minutes."
She swiped at a droplet of grape juice that had escaped from the corner of her mouth. And with a snap of her elegant fingers she blurred and disappeared silently.
At first the students were a bit confused but it didn't take long for some to form cliques and a lot of noise was the result.
Kyle, Hannah and Alicia formed themselves into a group and invited Nanette but she was invited by another group so they remained three. But it wasn't long before two people appeared to ask if they could join the angels.
One looked to be a rather ordinary human girl who had a rather calm and steady expression. The other was a rather smug Deloris. He had a flashing smile and his hair was rather untidy but gave him a sort of handsome aura. His loud voice, however, still retained its smugness.
"It seems you aren't enough to form a group. Mind if Sheila and I join you? I promise she won't be any trouble."
"What of you?"
"I don't make promises that can't be kept."
Kyle frowned but soon let out a sigh of exhaustion as he simply nodded his head.
"Fine... if Hannah and Alicia don't have a problem than I guess its fine for you to join."
"Splendid!"
Now their group had five members and the number of groups totaled to be 14. Madam Nora soon returned with a glass orb in her hand. Her eyes scanned the groups and with an approving nod she asked for each group to present a leader.
Sheila was selected to be the leader of their group as none of the angels were really interested and Deloris didn't care. 14 leaders were now standing before the professor who snapped her elegant fingers once again and little vines sprouted from the ground. They curled into 14 thick ringlets before their roots withered and the ringlets dropped to the ground.
She asked the leaders to pick up the ringlets and put them on. When all 14 of them had put on the plant rings she pointed towards the area behind her.
"I will be selecting two groups to engage in close range combat in the area behind me. No form of long range spells will be accepted and if you try your group shall be disqualified and you won't be receiving part of the little gift I've prepared for you lot afterwards. I shall be sealing the two groups in a [Restriction prism] so don't worry about the damage."
She placed her head on the palm of her hand and began the next part of her speech.
"First groups shall be Sheila's group against Ezekiel's group."
************
The two groups formed two lines facing each other. The leader of the other group was a calm looking human male. His hair was dyed green by the tips with his eyes a sea blue. He carried a satchel similar to madam Nora with the book inside looking a bit thinner.
His teammates all looked like they really didn't want to be there despite their oppressive power auras. Kyle scanned the opposing team and nudged Alicia to get her attention.
"I don't think your bow will be effective in this situation. You did learn a bit of mancer magic, right?"
"Yea although I may be more helpful as support. I'll leave you and the rest to fight head on."
Kyle nodded in affirmation as he looked to his other teammates. They all looked calm and even Deloris had a serious expression. Just then Kyle felt a lift under his feet before looking down to see a purple barrier spread to form a cube around the two groups. The purple barrier was formed by thin purple threads weaving and extending until the cube was formed and disappeared. Kyle could still feel its presence though and he just looked toward the rather bored Ezekiel.
Ezekiel noticed his gaze and displayed a bright smile before looking elsewhere, his bored expression returning once again.
"Group leaders, are you ready?"
"READY!!"
"LET'S DO THIS!!"
