{What?}
Theovolt could read the words that appeared on the notebook. The first two objectives were extremely questionable but the last one was suspicious. Theovolt decided to play it safe though.
"May I ask where you had got such a notebook? I can sense magic energy from it and...something else. What is it exactly?"
"It's our assistance to successfully save this world from chaos!!"
"From what?"
"Something dangerous...we just would like to accomplish our objectives so would you mind telling us where this magic academy is?"
Kyle interrupted Alicia and Theovolt's conversation. He wasn't sure that revealing too much would be a good thing. This could be the first time they ever went to school but surely there had to be a good reason for it.
Theovolt didn't seem to happy about it but he tried to conceal his emotions to the best of his ability.
"I may know where that academy is...but I would like it if you could explain to me what exactly that notebook is first."
"It's a gift from someone very important to us and we are just following what it tells us to do in the form of objectives. Is that explanation good enough?"
"No."
Hannah visibly frowned and gave a sideways glance to Kyle who met it with a nod. Kyle tapped his finger on the table in a slow rhythm. His eyes glowed golden before he was about to activate his ability. That was when Sheila came to their table with a tray of freshly-baked muffins. She placed the tray on the table and glanced at the angels, her eyes flashed goldenly.
"Hey Theovolt, I think you should leave I'm about to close shop."
"But it's still early in the day!!"
"Yea...then you showed up and I'm in no mood to stay open."
"Come on...can't you forgive me."
"Sure...when you're out of my shop and dead."
"I'll leave immediately."
Theovolt clumsily got up from his seat and put his cap on. He looked at the angels and was about to mention something when Sheila interrupted him.
"You leave...I want to speak to them. You have work to do, right? I'll show them around the city and return them to you later."
"But..."
"Theovolt..."
"I'll be going then."
Theovolt silently walked out of the cafe and onto the street back in the direction of the central magic tower. Then only the angels and Sheila were left in the cafe and Kyle coughed nervously. Sheila smiled and took Theovolt's empty seat and picked up a muffin for herself.
"We need to talk."
**************
"What ability were you about to use on that piece of shit, Theovolt?"
Kyle was visibly nervous as he retracted his hands to the sword that he placed next to his seat. It was still sheathed but he would gladly fight with it on. Sheila saw his reaction and gave a cruel grin, she then turned to look at Alicia who was standing up with the black and gold bow already in her hand.
"You react fast!! hahaha"
Sheila laughed before she took a bite of her muffin and seemed to enjoy it.
"Now I'll ask again...what ability were you about to use on Theovolt...I'm aware that your angels."
Kyle finally answered her question after hearing that she knew who they were.
"I was about to use [Authority.]"
Sheila slowed her chewing and narrowed her eyes. She placed her muffin back on the tray and licked her fingers clean before speaking again.
"How is a teenage angel like you able to use such an ability..."
"My father taught it to me."
"What's his occupation."
"Guardian angel."
"I see...the use of such an ability wouldn't be advised in this world. That's my piece of advice, but I heard that you wanted to head to the Trascot magic academy?"
"Well yes...may I ask what are you exactly."
"I'm a messenger goddess."
"What?!? but I can't sense any divinity from you."
"That's because I was cast out. I'm no longer a goddess but just a very powerful human. My king had turned me into this and banished me here."
"Oh...sorry for asking."
"It's fine...I can help you get into the magic academy."
"Really!?"
"Yes on one condition..."
"What could that be."
"You allow me to find a home from whatever faction you're from."
"We...can't promise such a thing...we will have to ask for permission first."
"That's fine."
Kyle turned to the notebook and with his thumb turned to the first page. Sheila watched his actions closely and silently thought to herself.
{What exactly is that thing. I sense divine energy from it.}
"Your majesty...I can assume that you've heard our conversation thus far...is it alright for a place in the heavens to be prepared for Miss Sheila."
[I have already set people to work to build a place for her here. You can tell her she's welcome so long as she keeps her part of the agreement- Jesus]
Sheila could read the letters that appeared on the page and the second she read the name of Jesus she couldn't contain a gasp. She realised who these angels were and they weren't people she could afford to mess with.
{Servants of Elohim!?! They even have a direct form of contact with that Overpowered god Jesus!! These just look like normal teenage angels but they seem to be much more. Could they be...}
Sheila shivered when she thought of what kind of angels they could be. She was tempted to leave and never think of them ever again but it was now too late.
{Could they be Virtues...no they would be unable to hide their wings...Cherubims... FUCK!!}
On the outside, Sheila had managed to calm down and was already taking another muffin and placed it into her mouth.
"I can keep my side of the agreement, I just need a day to help."
[That's fine...just make sure you help them- Jesus.]
With that, Sheila knew there was no way to escape this anymore. The angels relaxed and also took muffins and ate with pleasure.
"These are delicious!!"
Everybody finished eating all the muffins and Sheila got up from her seat. She excused herself and walked to the back of the cafe through a door on the other side of the counter. She was gone for a minute before she reappeared with a small heavy bag in her hand. She dropped it on the table.
"You should follow me and I'll show you a place you can spend your time in. The coins are for you to spend as you wish. Let's leave right now. Theovolt has probably sent a spy to watch our movements."
The angels saw no more problems with Sheila and got up from their seats as well. Hannah picked up the bag and placed it into her pocket and followed behind everyone else. They left the cafe and turned to the crowded streets, Sheila led them up the streets towards the residential district of the city. The streets became less crowded and more elf guards were present.
The people here were also more well dressed. To Sheila, they were nothing more than walking brats. She led them through the streets into the noble district and was walking towards the western section.
For some reason, none of the elf guards stopped them or looked at them in any way. Hannah found this odd but didn't ask any questions. They then reached the gates to a mansion that rose beautifully in the sunlight.
Its courtyard had beautifully cut bushes in several different shapes. The botany garden was being attended by a single man with a knife in his hand. The mansion was a beautiful peach colour with glass windows and two separate buildings connected by a single lobby.
Sheila pulled a key from her breast-pocket and placed it in the keyhole and turned. The silver gates slid open silently and the groups walked onto the mansion's courtyard. The man attending to the botany garden smiled as they approached and tipped his cap. Sheila smiled in turn and continued to the mansion doors and with another key, she turned the lock and they slid open.
"I welcome you to my home."
