The sphere of light had grown to almost the size of Alicia herself. The entire lake around it swirled and rose high and crashed around the edge while splashing everything in the clearing. Including the trees and Kyle who hadn't moved in time.
The water was a lot and after the explosion, the water level had significantly reduced. Alicia was the most affected as she was completely drenched.
Hannah watched and only got a few drops of water as the canopy above her shielded her. She was trying her best to keep a straight face but failed and ended up on her knees holding her sides.
She continued laughing for a solid minute before slowly calming down and looking up at Kyle. He was holding his sword in his right hand in an attempt to block the water earlier but hadn't got there in time. He was, for the most part, just fine with his hair drooping. He caught Hannah's gaze and laughed it off and pointed over to Alicia.
"I think she...is being happy?"
Alicia was shivering slightly with her left hand holding the bow grip tightly and her clothes sticking closely to her body. This was something unprecedented for all of them.
Alicia turned around and her face came into view.
"Did you guys see that!?"
Hannah admired her sister's optimism in almost everything she did.
Alicia had a wide smile on her face with her teeth showing and her body shivering.
Kyle laughed while Hannah walked out from under the canopy. She was smiling and walked closer to Kyle's side.
"You think she can complete this test with no accidents."
"Absolutely not."
Alicia walked over to them and placed her bow back onto her back.
"So...what do you think?"
"You could learn to control that energy better and it seems you collected the energy in a central sphere instead of a pointed shape. I could definitely see something useful for it and it was more silent than Kyle's sword. I think it's great!"
Hannah gave her own opinion and chuckled silently to herself.
Alicia stopped to silently think to herself.
"I guess it's your turn now."
Kyle looked over to Hannah who simply smiled and stepped over to the now shallow lake. She wasn't sure of how to activate her ability but it was supposed to be a summoning ability apparently. Her mother was the Librarian managing the Archives of the 3rd heaven and had more than once told Hannah how summoning abilities are supposed to work.
Whether it had been mentioned or not...Angels don't use magic. They use abilities that allow them to alter certain prospects of nature.
Summoning was the ability to bend teleportation and minds to a point where the summoned being is instantly teleported and their memories are cleared and replaced with only the summoner. However, the more aware the being is of themselves and their memories hold greater importance to them...the stronger the angel would have to be to alter their mind or a mutual agreement would have to be arranged.
Fire, water, wind and lightning are elements that follow the will of nature and can be altered by abilities from angels. Only higher ranking angels can use magic and when they do its usually catastrophic.
Hannah first started by slowing her breathing and placing her right palm forward. She closed her eyes and had her mind think of the word summoning.
The ability to summon is naturally placed within a living being. It starts as first thinking of the word summon itself and the certain neurons for it will tingle and the rest is for your body to do.
It also depends on the type of summoning your capable of. Hannah was summoning heroic spirits, who can be considered dead heroes.
That type of summoning required for a steady calm mind. It was also found that it was impossible to alter the memories or minds of these spirits. Nobody knew why but it was always like that.
Hannah slowly opened her eyes when she felt a slight tingle in her mind. She was aware of how to do it now. She thought of a few things and words started coming together to form multiple sentences.
Summoning was also a trial and error thing. You will have to put several of the words flooding your mind together and if they refuse that either means the heroic spirit is too strong or there is no such heroic spirit.
These are the sentences Hannah successfully managed to put together.
[First name: Myrac Last name: Lyraz
Class: pole master
Rating: (R), 9.0]
With these few words, she had completely drained her mental strength. She was a little confused because she hadn't heard of any terms like 'class' or 'rating'. She only knew that you had to gather names but class and rating were new terms for her in summoning.
She had her eyes open and several blue flashes appeared all over her irises. It was unknown to her though and these flashes turned darker by the passing second.
Her hair seemed to be blowing in an invisible breeze but everything was silent. She then began activating her ability properly.
{Connecting to Heaven's Archives...3rd Heaven access granted...Summoning 'Myrac Lyraz' of world Ascirop...Consent received and affirmed.}
Hannah was so startled that she jumped back in surprise her complete focus gone and her hands placed over her heart.
Fortunately, the process had already started and could not be deactivated. She had never heard from her mother about any voice that appears in her head during the summoning process. It was feminine and was completely emotionless.
The surrounding air was vibrating and a constant cold breeze touched her face which bothered her a bit. The shallow lake started bubbling and the tree branches swayed violently.
Summoning wasn't supposed to be this dramatic either...
That was when Hannah felt her eyes itch and she instantly shut them and winced in pain. She was like this for a while before she decided to open her eyes and she was looking at another person standing in front of her in blue clothing.
"Hello"
*********
(Hannah POV)
{Who is this fellow?}
I asked myself this question several times as I stared at the person in front of me. He was the same height as Kyle with purple spiky hair parted just above his right brow. He had a large smile with sharp triangular teeth that showed razor edges. He had his hands in the pockets of his blue jeans which were extremely tight looking. He had a dark blue jacket that was zipped and a navy blue scarf wrapped around his neck.
His face was partially covered by the scarf but his eyes were a stunning crystal blue that had me partially mesmerized.
He had slightly pointed ears that were fluttering.
There was another thing about him that bothered me and that was the long pole on his back that contrasted his clothing.
It was black with both ends blunt. It was hard to see it properly in the little light I had though.
I couldn't tell if he was smiling or frowning because of that scarf but he peered his head closer to mine to gaze deeply into my eyes.
"Your cute, Master"
