Jack POV
As we delve deeper into the drug store we actually find a door to the basement. I go first just to be sure its safe and Cindy stays close behind me. After only 3 minutes of walking we reach the bottom step. And to our surprise we found exactly what I doubted a drug store would have. There were piles of drug packets. Ready to be sold. And drugs that were still in their stage of production. All kinds. I start looking through the packets. "Jack? What exactly are you looking for?", Cindy asked with hint of confusion. "A specific type of drug. Called Khat", I explain. "How is that going to help with a cure?", she asks sounding even more confused. "Well its a scientific theory of mine. Khat makes you behave violently like a zombie. So using it in the cure would make you behave in the opposite manner",I say. "Oh I see, its quite the interesting theory", Cindy says. "Thank you", I smile up at her,"what we're looking for are pills with a yellow-green colour". There are many different types of pills and powders Cheesepuff les. Ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, weed and many others. Cindy suddenly calls me over to the piles she's diving through. "Is this it?", she asks holding up a packet. The pills were oval shaped with yellowish greenish colour. "Yes. That is definitely Khat", I reply. "Will this be enough or will you need more?", she asks unsure. "We'll definitely need to take a few packets. I knew this drug might be useful but I haven't worked out how much I need", I say.
Cindy POV
It's actually kinda cool that Jack has theories like that, I think to myself as a gather a few more packets. If we both make it out of this I'd love to see him think of more theories that would help people. Now that I realize it. His parents must have had an influence on his decision to study science. It makes sense. He can discover new things and help people. Maybe even discover cures or medicine that could heal the unbeatable illnesses and diseases. It would be amazing to see him change the world in such a wonderful way. I guess that's one of the reasons I love him. Jack keeps others in mind. "Well I guess we should be heading back now",Jack announces. "Alright then", I say as I stand up and follow him up the steps. We get out of the drug store and follow our original trail back home. Not that its really a home but its the only one we have right now. If this nightmare ends I'd love to be home for real. Home with Jack and my family. We'd have a nice meal and watch movies. Maybe later in the day drive to the ranch. Ride the horses. I miss our ranch. Jack and I used to hang out there a lot. Luckily he loves horses as much as I do. We loved watching them run. It's one of the most beautiful things to see. A horse has this way of looking triumphant and graceful while running across the fields. "Hey Jack?",I say. "Yeah?",he says. "Remember the time we spent on the ranch? Do you miss it too?",I ask. "Ah, the ranch. I do miss it. Some of the best memories of life were made one that ranch. Do you know why?", he says. "Enlighten me", I say to him with a giggle. "All those memories contain you", he says looking back at me with a smile. Cheesepuff. I laugh and say, "You're so sweet its almost sicking". "Oh", says pouting, "I thought I was being romantic. My bad", but then he laughs along with me. After a while we make it back home. "Hey Cindy?",I hear Jack say while he's climbing the ladder. "Hhhmmm?", I mumble as I look down at him. "I love you", he says softly. As he reaches the top I smile and rely, "I love you too. You Cheesepuff".
