Jack POV
Since my science books didn't give me much help. I decided that my biology books could definitely be worth a try. As I look through the first book I read something interesting that might just contribute to the cure. Proteins that provide certain functions in the body. Since Cindy started to turn those important proteins in her body might have been blocked off from serving their purpose. Purposes like healing the body and keep infections or viruses from intruding in the body. There are quite a lot of the proteins I could use. But I'd have to get proteins from someone else's body. If they are healthy and strong they'll be able to overpower the original proteins in her body and force it to work normally again. The proteins I'll need is quite a list and I still need to figure out how much is needed along with the drug. What I'll need is collagen (which provides structure to your body),cell migration protein (provides healing and immunity), coronin (binding protein),dystrophin (strengthens muscle and protects from injury),elastin (helps resumes shape after stretching),globulin (vital immunity role),c-reactive protein (immunity defense system against infections or sicknesses), gamma globulin (creates antibodies) and G protein (helps control heart rate. It would be best if I were able to get these proteins from a family member. That would guarantee a higher success rate of my cure. But that would only be possible if we found one of her family members or her family.
Cindy POV
After we got back yesterday Jack hit the books again. This time he is looking through his biology books. He is taking down quite a few notes so he must have found something. "What are all those notes for?", I ask. "I found some biological proteins that could contribute to the cure", he replies without looking up. "Oh, that sounds cool. Can I see?", I say. "Sure, come sit next to me", he says. I go to sit down with him and he shows me his notes and explains what he wants to do. "Wow, this is impressive work. But they have to be extracted from family for higher success you say?", I say to him. "Yeah...", he says. "Well I guess it makes sense", I say and then ask,"But what if we don't find my family or they don't find us?" He hesitates to answer but after a few quiet seconds he does,"Well...then we could try using mine but I don't know how well it would work." "Alright", I say. "Hungry?", Jack asks with a smile. I return his smile and reply, "Sure. Maybe burgers?" "Your wish is my command", he says making a silly face. The burgers aren't the freshest but we have a tiny cooler to try and keep it fresh. Jack walks to the kitchen and starts on the burgers. He does like doing the cooking for some reason, I think to myself as I watch him from the doorway. He's so wonderful and I'm lucky to have him. I just hope we get to have a future together when all this is over.
