Cindy POV
We its been an hour's walk but we're getting close to the prison. I really hope we can find my family here. Knowing their alive would make me extremely happy. Jack would be happy too. They have been became a bit of family to him too. Since I know now that his parents died I know why it meant so much when my parents accepted him. He was really relieved and excited when they welcomed him into our house and even invited him on family outings. I loved seeing him so happy and I'm glad he felt so comfortable with us. Tonight we might find them. Its exciting and I can't wait to see them. Someone else might think I'm too optimistic but I know in my heart they survived. My family is tougher than anyone I'd know. Jack leads the way through the entrance. We see a few dead zombies whose heads have been blown to bits. That's a sign people have been here. Those zombies must have been shot. By what looks like a Remington 780 and Beretta M9. My family owns those types of guns. I almost squeal with excitement. They have to be here unless they moved to another location. We walk through the building quietly. So far not hearing any movement.
We decide to check the offices to see if it might be in use as a sleeping area. As we enter one of the offices we do see sleeping bags but no people in them. In the next office we see two more sleeping bags. The next office looks like a supply of food and necessities but not much of it. Jack taps me on the shoulder and indicates we should checks the interrogation rooms. I follow him there. We don't find anything but an empty room except for cushions laying around. All of a sudden we start hearing footsteps. Not very loud. Very subtle footsteps. It's not close by, still a bit of a distance away. Difficult to tell if its human or zombie but we don't hear feet dragging. As we hear the steps we head towards it. Holding our guns ready in case it is zombies. The steps keep getting closer and closer. Finally we make it towards the steps and there's silence. Suddenly I feel a choke hold around my neck and hear Jack soundly like some punched him in the gut. With my little strength I lift my flashlight and point it in the face of my attacker. "Daaahhggdd?", I struggle getting the word out. He grabs my flashlight and checks my face. Immediately he drops me. "Cindy...?", my dad says shock on his face. Dad pointed the flashlight in Jack's direction. I saw my brother kicking him in the stomach. But he stopped the moment he saw who it was. "Jack..?", my dad says him. "Yeah...dad....its us", I say slowly getting my breath back. "You're alive", I heard my mother's voice say. "We thought we might never see you again", my brother's voice says.
