Jack POV
I'm working on the calculations for the amount of the ingredients needed for the cure. Well, the ones I have so far. There feels like there might be a missing element. Call me crazy but the calculations are reminding me of an amazing memory. That tree we went to after the prom. Its a very special tree. We made our initials there. I can still remember the day we made it.
*Flashback starts*
Me and Cindy went for our first date on that day. First I took her for ice cream early in the day. She had chocolate chip ice cream and I had vanilla and caramel ice cream. After we went the shops. Specifically to a shop with home appliances furniture and room layouts. We headed to a kitchen layout and pretended that we were baking something. Of course people stared but we carried on. "Pass me the sugar Jack", Cindy said, as she tried to sound serious. She almost sounded like we were in one of those cooking competitions on TV. But it was clear she was trying not to laugh. I was having a hard time being serious myself. "What are we even making?",I said finally breaking into a laugh. Cindy giggled a little and replied, "I just realized I have no idea". "Wanna jump on the bed instead?", I asked with a smirk. "Thought you'd never ask", she said smiling and pulling me towards a bedroom layout. We waited a bit till less people were around us and we jumped on the bed. Laughing and hitting each other with pillows. But then after a few minutes we might have caught a store attendant's attention. Strangely instead of being angry he just laughed and said he wished he could do what we just did. Then politely he asked if we could just tidy the bed after we were done jumping. After we actually were done we went to a food store. Cindy wanted to do something. She wanted us to try and make puns with anything we saw in the store. When she saw people doing it in a few videos she decided she wanted to give it a try. I was terrible at puns and trust me I still am. But Cindy is actually good at at it. At least me being terrible made her laugh. Then when she ran out of puns I suggested we go to the park. That was our first time at the park together. We looked around at where we could sit. And we saw this short but very strong looking tree and decided to sit under it. It was very cozy and welcoming. A few minutes after sitting I had a idea. "How about we do our initials on this tree?", I asked her. "That's not a bad idea", she said. Luckily I had a pocket knife with me. So I stood up and carved C.W. & J.O then handed her the knife. Cindy carved the heart around the initials. I took a picture of it and I still have it (I made a print out version later in the day). Both of us smiled at what we carved. Then we sat down again. I put my arm around her and she leaned her head on my shoulder. "Today was awesome. I loved it", she said. "I'm glad. Hopefully I can make it even better", I said as I smiled to myself. She turned to me with her eyebrow raised questioningly. "What do you mean?," she asked. I cupped her face and pulled her close to me. Our lips connected and sparks flew. That was our first kiss.
