"Sir Samuel-" Elliot tried to say but was cut off by the people who stood in front of him questioning him in regards to the King's whereabouts.
"And how long exactly did His Highness plan to greet us with his absence?" Sir Samuel Hamilton, the second, interrupted.
He, among the others that were present, are part of a division of the second level of the council that dealt specifically with growing concerns to the kingdom.
Although the reigning monarch had absolute power, the King still needed to answer members of the council against concerns that have been brought to their attention.
"His Highness will be arriving at some point later today. In the meantime, allow me to direct you towards the ground floor parlour," Elliot said politely despite the manner of tone he was being spoken to.
