"I'm confused," Katherine said looking to either Rio or Lucian for an explanation. Was this Ronald person supposed to know of the duke's whereabouts? She thought.
"Ronald now works as a minister in the Zelanian royal court, and if he were aware of the duke's whereabouts to the city of seers, then it would be appropriate to assume that it is the whole kingdom that is fighting against Nydisia," Rio explained. In short, someone was working on the inside trying to displace both Nydisia and Zelania.
Katherine's eyebrows gently creased, "How are you sure? The man could've lied." Katherine had doubts that Ronald was being honest, seeing as she had not met the man, but it would be unlike Lucian not to consider every possible scenario.
"What of the lead you said you had?" Lucian asked Rio after a while of intense thinking.
