"Os." I called Osiric, "Hm?" he looked at me, a little confused to why I had called.
"It's getting kinda boring, so how about we spar?" I asked him, it was getting a little boring and I wanted to find out how strong we both had gotten.
After all, we had leveled up alot. Osiric did have lower stats compared to mine, but his sword should make him be near my stats.
Plus his skills should carry him. I wanted to try and get more experience experience fighting melee, after all I am more experienced that even in Osiric when it came to ranged combat - that's mostly because Osiric doesn't know how to fight at range and he won't absorb the knowledge at all due to his curse.
"Are you sure?" Osiric asked me, releasing a small aura.
His aura was very overpowering, it even made me build up cold sweat, but I knew that I had to do this.
"Yeah, I am sure!" I said to him, I then took out my white steel spear from my card.
It was a painless process, though it still took about 1 second longer that just taking it out normally. I didn't want to carry the spear around and I was confident that I could buy at least once second.
Osiric needed his sword on him on all times, since just a one second delay when a person or monster surprise attacks us would be deadly.
"Ok." Osiric sighed and shrugged, then unsheathed his katana. It lowered the temperature by a degree.
I smiled, "Let's go!"
Osiric grinned and then we moved to a new spot in an instant; I was very happy that I was able to follow Osiric.
We both moved to a new spot, since we didn't want to wake up others.
"This is going to fun, I am going to go all out," Osiric at looked at me, his stare had a little bloodlust on it.
It made me a little scared. "also, remember to control your mana."
I knew what he meant, controlling the mana is crucial here, not just because it will attract strong monsters; but also because in melee combat we have to have perfect control over our mana.
Otherwise, we will die in an instant; since unlike a battle between mages - which tend to last pretty long - melee combat could be ended in a second if the fighters are about equal in raw power.
"Ok." I then used magic to boost myself, my eyes started glowing - the technique is called 'Flow State' its an advanced version of just boosting yourself with magic. Instead of just boosting your entire body, you boost specific parts and attributes, this one need a lot of concentration to accomplish; though its still not as hard as mana infusion.
Fire magic made me sensitive to heat, water magic made me go into a flow-like state, wind magic made me faster and would make my reaction time even faster, and finally, earth magic would make my stance stronger and would make me know how to counter and block better.
All in all, my senses, instincts, skills were all boosted a lot. I was also a lot stronger and faster.
I used my dual processing skill to handle the flowing process, this made the action trivial. Though I would still need even more precision to handle infusion - especially since I have four elements to manage, though I couldn't complain, Osiric had the hardest mana to infuse yourself with.
Pure mana was very hard to infuse yourself with, since you don't have a single bit of connection to it. It was also very violent if you don't properly use it; it being the true form of the flow could easily tear you body apart - even if you have immunity, since divine elements - even semi - could break through immunity; unless you have divine version of immunity and also are stronger than the attack.
The second part was impossible, since only the strongest heaven class are truly stronger than the flow. Those are the beings that transcend every concept known to mortals and gods, and could easily erase everything with just a thought.
"Congratulation, you are close to true infusion." Osiric said that as he started to glow white, he even released his aura.
If I didn't have my guard up after he said that he was going all out, I would've just been knocked out immediately, losing immediately.
But since I had my guard up, I countered his aura with my own. I couldn't win against his aura so I only made myself get cloaked in my aura.
Osiric then did the same as well, now our stats were matched - except our magic stat. "You really are going all out, eh." I looked at him, "Yeah, otherwise, I would lose." Osiric then took up a stance.
He was cloaked in a white aura and was shining with white light, he could only be described as 'pure'.
I also took a stance, I then used fire, wind, water, and earth magic on my weapon; I still couldn't infuse it, since I couldn't infuse myself. But I was satisfied with what I could do.
My spear's mana conductivity made my magic more stronger, so right now my spear's attack hovered around 1,200 - 1,400. That was way lower than Osiric's katana - which should hover around 4,000 - 5,200.
But his weapon was a named weapon, and it also had a legendary skill - Osiric's pure magic also helped it.
My weapon had one advantage though, it would be faster, harder, and was easier to use than his; since elemental magic gave weapons special properties while pure magic purely boosted the weapon.
That's also one of the reason pure magic is soo weak, even though its a semi-divine element.
"En garde!" I started the battle, I then moved at speeds that were previously impossible for me - about mach 5.
"Holy crap! You are way faster than before!" Osiric barely dodged my attack, but still this wasn't the end.
I then made 10 small golden spears , they were similar to how I remembered what I had did when I went crazy last night.
The spear were mana weapons so they were very strong, they also had 4 elemental mana in them, all of the waging war on each other. With the precise control I had gotten with my leveled up skills and my stats, I could easily go past mach 14 with the attacks.
Osiric then had a smile on his face, with little beads of sweat forming on his forehead. I was a little happy. The attacks were coming at him when he was not in the state to dodge at speeds that would make even bullets back at home put to shame, heck, it would put even some missiles to shame.
The attacks hit Osiric, or should have until Osiric used ice magic to freeze them. "That's could have seriously hurt me, are you trying to kill me!" Osiric happily said to me.
"That attack ending you would be impossible, they don't have enough power in them to even kill me 4 days ago." I answered, I made sure to make them weak since making them go full power would definitely put me in danger since I didn't have that much control over my magic.
"Well then, if you are going to use your new tricks then I should use my as well. You should probably start getting serious. If you survive for 5 minutes straight, you win."
"So you are going to use Shi no Yuki, well let's see how I survive absolute zero." I hadn't told Osiric about how his sword skills would work, since he wouldn't want it.
After all, even if he didn't show it, he looked very happy with sword. I didn't want to spoil it for him, Emma also shared the same sentiment.
Snow of Death, is the ultimate technique of the sword, it uses very little mana and give a massive boost to a user.
It basically freezes you to death, the temperature in its radius would drop to absolute zero, freezing everything. It will also make the user stronger and make their attacks stronger and cold as heck.
For that it has a long cool down, which should be 1 hour for him. But since its Osiric, he would probably go all out.
I will have to prepare for white end, which is boosted by Aka Yuki and Pure Snow. I am going to have to stall, so I quickly made plans in my head - dual processing was clutch in this instant.
"The timer starts now!" Osiric said that as the world was frozen in an instant, the cold air assiled me. This is probably going to be the hardest battle I have fought till now.
