"Well, here goes nothing!" Emma launched all her arrows at me.
They were pretty fast, but still, my spears were faster. The only advantage she had was precision.
But, due to the sheer amount of spears and the speed they were going at. I could easily stop all her arrows.
Osiric kept looking at this battle, focused. He was trying to figure our flaws; he was probably simulating how he could beat us - though, it was with his sword.
Emma looked a little irritated - she tried her best to land a hit. But with my skills, I could easily block all her attacks.
It was like stealing candy for a child, no, from a newborn baby. It was, probably, how Osiric felt when he fought both of us.
I could understand why he was soo happy when I beat him - though he was still happy that I could beat him. It was fun; it felt like how I destroyed Emma in a video game or sport - it was the only thing that separated me from Osiric, in this area.
"Ugh..." Emma was getting annoyed, she was starting to sweat.
Thinking about sweating. In this world, the sanitation was above what we could find back home, and that's entirely due to how convenient magic is. An average person would be able to use magic to clean themselves, and any normal disease or poison that doesn't have mana in them can be cured by a child that knows how to use a little magic.
If the germs and poison don't have mana, they could be easily killed by magic; as they will be considered enemies. That won't even cost 1 mp.
Due to that, the average life expectancy in this world is 100 years - if you only counted normal humans. Though, if you did consider every being, then it would probably be over 500, probably reaching 1,000.
While I was thinking about it, Emma was trying her best to attack me. With dual processing, I could easily block her attacks while thinking about stupid stuff.
"Well, that's enough," I said to myself, "Emma!" Emma looked at me a little confused, "I am going to starting attacking. You should probably use all your arrows to protect yourself!"
I thought that it will be useless to just make her attack; if I was Osiric, I would probably teach her how to use her discount GoB to block attacks.
I like to think of myself as an expert in the subject; I have, after all, blocked Osiric's continuous onslaught.
Emma was confused, but when I fired my arrow at her, she barely blocked it. She got startled.
She used all her arrows to block my attack. I was a little surprised by her precision. I quickly controlled myself and kept attacking with one of my spears.
Then I said, "Emma, I am going to keep on increasing the number of spears I am using. So, try to survive as long as you can."
This was the same thing that Osiric had did last time we fought. I think that doing this would be better. If you can defend properly, you can attack.
So even if you do like 1 damage, you will win - though it will take very long. Emma should be able to do it since her stamina recovery was the fastest, even if you count Osiric.
Also, her attacks were pretty weak; since she doesn't get a boost to her attacks from her class like us. So, it's best if she learns how to defend.
Emma was able to easily block one spear; it was 64 v 1, after all. She was quick to get out of her confusion. She had to react in milliseconds; she was a little mad.
"That's cheating!" she complained; I was about to complain back, but before I could do it.
"I don't think that it's cheating, he did say that he would start attacking. Plus, there will be no fairness in a real battle. Still, it's amazing that you reacted fast." Osiric kindly said to Emma.
Even Dave agreed with him, I mean he was the best at adapting among us.
Emma got silenced - she, no, we couldn't speak against if it was Osiric, and just focused on blocking my spear. I gave Osiric a thumbs up to Osiric, Osiric just silenced her better than I ever could.
He gave me wry smile.
"Two"
I used two spears, as she could easily handle one spear.
This time, she was fully prepared - she only used two arrows to block it.
...
"seventy-five!"
It was currently about 9, so only about 1 hour was left.
Dave enjoyed the fight very much, while Osiric had given us a lot of tips to improve our attacks. They were good, but still, it was using him as a baseline. So we should keep on improving those tips by ourselves.
He had said that to us himself. He was pleased with the advice, heck, he even said that this was the best advice he could give to us.
In the past hours, Emma had increased her skills. So currently, she was using 128 arrows.
If I had to guess, I would say that her magic control, dual processing, multi-cast, and all her enhancement skills leveled up.
She was stronger than before. But, she doesn't have level 6 on all her skills - since holy magic doesn't get a lot of experience when used for attacking.
So she still had a hard time blocking over 70 spears. Though, it was nothing compared to her being stuck on 32 spears for an hour straight.
And now, she was again getting overwhelmed.
"Stop!" Osiric stopped us.
We then quickly deactivated our magic; we hadn't wasted that much mana. And would recover it back in about a minute.
"Why?" Emma asked her before me, "It's probably not going to efficient if you continue it. You won't be able to get stronger, right now."
"That makes sense," I turned towards Dave, "Dave, let's get ready to move."
Dave nodded, "That was a wonderful battle, quite enjoyable to be honest."
"Thank you." I and Emma replied.
"Let's go." Dave then started to walk towards the carriage, we followed behind me. Emma was pretty exhausted - mentally. So she just used holy magic to relieve herself.
I didn't need to since it wasn't exhausting for me at all; I then use magic to clean myself.
Emma would ask me to clean herself, but, after 2 days in this world, she could do it herself, so she doesn't need to ask me anymore.
