Chapter 36 - Chapter 36: New Quest!

"Tyler!", Dave called me.

I then slowly walked up to him, following me were Osiric and Emma.

"We are here for the quest.", Dave looked very happy.

I then gave him my card, it had the quest's basic information in it; I couldn't accept it as it was a guard quest.

I requested to Dave, "Can you please accept this?"

"Sure." he then clicked on the accept button.

Osiric and Emma got new notifications on their card, they just checked it and put their cards back in their pockets.

"So, you are ready right?", I looked at his carriage.

Dave replied, "Yes, I have prepared everything."

I was looking at his carriage and found something weird, "There are no horses?", Dave the answered, "That's because of you guys, I could earn more than usual. So I bought some new horses. I really want to get back to my shop!"

"Oh!" I asked him, "so, when do we go?"

Dave thought about it for moment, and then answered, "Just wait for a moment, they should be bringing the horses soon."

I turned towards Emma and Osiric, they both nodded. This time they had listened to the conversation. So they knew what was going on.

"Dave," I looked at Dave and pointed to the direction of the gate, "we will be in the gate waiting for you, is that alright?"

This was a guard quest, so we had to listen to Dave.

"Sure"

I turned back towards Dave at started walking, Emma and Osiric knew what I meant; so they followed behind me.

We were all excited, this quest would make easier for us to level up. Unlike games - where you can grind for hours straight, we can't grind here for more than 3 hours straight, after that we will not get experience.

The experience gain will also gets lower and lower after the 1 hour mark.

We could fight strong monsters, but we didn't want to deal with that for a while. Plus getting to visit Osiric's village more easily was something I looked forward to.

...

We were walking towards the gate, "Say Os, isn't this country one of the most developed country in the world?"

"Yeah, science's pretty advanced. Especially since, this country ranks at the top for summoning people form another world"

I then thought about what I was about to say, I then responded, "The why is this country all medieval. Not that I am complaining, the immersion is just too good here, but isn't this world more advanced than ours?" I added, "Heck, the world has flying cars. So why doesn't this country have it?"

"Pretty simple," Osiric then looked at me, "it's because an another otherworlder - who was summoned about a 100 years ago - is friends with the human lord. The otherworlder managed to convince the human lord to make his country look medieval."

"Ok."

So it was one of us, should've expected this. Since there was tentacle porn, with actual tentacles, in this world; thanks to us.

"Os, if you wanted to leave Mercxus," I really wanted to know about it so I asked, "which country will you want to go to?"

Osiric immediately answered, meaning he had already decided a country beforehand, "You should know it by now."

"The Sword God's Sanctuary, right?" Osiric then smiled and answered, "Correct!" I just nodded to his answer.

Sword God's Sanctuary was one of the strongest countries in the world, it was also one of the most developed. It was one of the country of the world's strongest alliance, Valhalla.

The alliance had The Sword God's Sanctuary, The Great Library, The Grand Forge, and The Dragon Lord's Lair.

Out of all of the country, the one thing they all shared in common was that they were all personally created by their respective gods and had a true lord in them.

Even the demon king would have problems taking over them - the true lords won't fight as they have responsibilities, though the demon lord can kill the true lords; but killing even one of them will require him to have an army of about 100,000 grand saints or about 100 lords.

"What about yours Emma?", I asked her the same question.

"I think," Emma thought about the question for a moment, she then answered, "probably the Astraeus Empire."

"Isn't that the country that has the titan lord.", I turned towards Osiric; Osiric answered, "You are correct."

The titan lord was a humongous being, about 1 km tall - though he mostly hanged around 9 m since it was the normal height of a titan.

The country wasn't all that special, it was a small country - the titans, even though they are big, don't want a lot of land because they only reproduce 1 time in their entire life.

If there was something special about it, then it would be the true lord and the massive structures. Especially at the capital where there is a 10km tall wall.

In the capital, no sunlight reaches the ground, so the titan lord with his power made it a place where its permanently dusk.

He didn't have to worry about his citizens being sick - since it was a convenient world with its magic system.

Emma then turned towards me, "So, what's your?" Osiric also joined and asked the same question as well.

"Its going to be The Great Library." I answered, they both thought it was quite normal - unlike's Emma which surprised us a little.

The Great Library is the most developed country in the world - duh, since the magic lord lives there. Its also the country having the largest amount of otherworlders - most of them were called by the magic lord himself, except the space lord.

We all talked about some stupid stuff like how the space lord was feeling, and stuff. We also talked about the countries we had mentioned, like how awesome the capital of the Sanctuary, The Sword Lord's Fortress, was.

We then reached the gate. "Oh! look at that."

I pointed towards the gate, we had talked a lot; so we were surprised to come this close to it this fast. We weren't even walking that fast.

...

After about 1 minute later after we had reached the gate, we saw a horse carriage coming towards us. It was Dave, all of us could easily cleary in the night, so didn't have any problem finding him.

We waited until he came near to us. "Tyler!"

"Hey, Dave." I then looked at him in the eye and asked, "Those are some good horse you got there."

The horses that Dave had could run at about 100 km/h. Way faster than the horse back home, but still slower than use - we could all run at about 2000 km/h.

"Yeah, its all thanks to you guys."

I then turned towards the direction where the Dark Forest was, "Let's go."
