Chapter 39 - A Friendly Visit

We were currently walking up to our inn. We had just ranked up, so we were all pretty happy.

"Tyler." Osiric called me out, I didn't know why so I looked at him - a little confused, "?"

"You guys should probably get new equipments, after all, we have classed and ranked up." Osiric explained.

"Yeah, we probably should. I mean white steel equipment are good and all, but we have already grown out of them." Emma added.

I really didn't need to think about it, equipment was one of the most important things an adventurer could have.

"How about 90 gold coins?" I asked Osiric, he knew what I meant and answered, "I think that might be a little too much..." Osiric then started to think about if for a minute and replied, "...I think 60 would be fine. After all, we should now probably start enchanting our weapons."

I then nodded.

90 gold coins wasn't impossible for us to get, we only needed to do about 4-5 quests - we would be able to mid F-rank quests after all. But that might be a little expensive in the long run - after all, Osiric did say that we should start enchanting.

The reason it would cost us more in the long run is because enchanting would cost more on stronger weapons, or weapons made from better materials. Enchanting is a pretty harsh process for the weapon, so the enchanter would have to delicately move their mana in the weapon.

Stronger weapons took more mana - also, individually, mana is also stronger, due to their mana conductivity and their mana capacity, while weaker weapons took less mana and were easier to enchant with.

"Well, I think we should buy them tomorrow morning." I said to them.

Both of them agreed with me.

"Os, how do you want to go to your village?" Emma asked Osiric an interesting question.

"Yeah, how do you want to go?", Osiric then said, "Probably by walking, I mean its not that far. Its only about 10km away."

"Oh! So when do we go, I mean 10km not that far for us." I asked him, a "casual jog" for us would probably 100km/h, so it will only take about like 6 minutes.

"I don't know, how do you think?" Osiric asked me.

I then thought about it for a moment, I really had to buy some new gears and if Osiric was ready to let me decide when to go, "How about at 9 at tomorrow's morning?"

"Sure!" Osiric replied.

Emma also agreed, and with that we decided our basic schedule for tomorrow.

...

It was 7 in the morning, I, Emma, and Osiric were in our inn.

We were on the ground floor, dining on some bacons, eggs, bread, and stew. It was a simple breakfast. It only costed about 10 copper.

But it was good, I mean it would probably be pretty expensive back home.

I wasn't talking with Emma and Osiric because I was currently looking through my card, looking at the the equipments we could buy later.

We only had 60 gold coins after all, we would need to get 60 more; as I wasn't buying equipment for myself, but Emma as well.

I couldn't find anything that looked special, but I just kept on looking.

I already knew what Emma wanted, and I would obviously know what I would want, so I didn't need to ask Emma for her opinion.

It was how she was when we played an mmo together, she would always make me buy her gear.

"Holy crap!" I said in shock.

Emma and Osiric looked at me, a little confused. "What happened?" Osiric asked me.

"Look at this!" I was very happy, after all we did find a set equipment.

Set equipments were pretty rare to come by. They weren't rare per say, they were just that popular; it would be pretty hard as a lot of adventurers, heck, even normal people would buy them.

The equipment I had found was costed 40 gold each, which was cheap for us. But that was not the thing that surprised me the most; the thing that surprised me the most was the seller.

"Isn't that Dave!?" Osiric looked at the card more carefully. "Really!" Emma also got a little surprised so she also started to look at the card.

We made a little noise, so people looked at us funny; but as soon as they who they were looking at they quickly ignored us.

That's because, last night we were made aware that our rumours had passed around the entire city - they were also pretty exaggerated, not just the adventurer's guild. Thanks to our asshole classmates.

Those bastards manipulated information and shared misinformation. Especially Brad and his party; probably because of that fight.

Their fragile egos couldn't handle us still being superior to them in this world, so they planned to really fuck us up in this world as well. Me losing control didn't help as well; the blasts I had made were pretty fucking strong, so even from Libert, you could feel them - since most people of this world concentrated their attacks and manipulated where the energy would go; so they could easily make us look like a fucking arsonist.

Not that our previous sour reputation also helped it out; I also probably expect some those bastards to talk with the duke's 15 year old and try their best to ruin our reputation.

But it was only a little sad, I, no, we didn't give a damn about it.

"We should probably meet with up with him!" I excitedly said to them.

If it was Dave; I knew that I could at least convince him to wait for some time for the entire money. After 20 gold coins weren't that hard to make for Mid F rankers. We could make it in about 1-2 days.

Especially with our party, which is pretty above average.

Osiric and Emma both agreed with me; we still had time after all.

"We should probably go immediately." I then stood up, they both knew what it meant so they quickly moved to the door, while I went to pay the owner.

Thankfully, the owner was a good judge of character - not as much as Osiric, but still was above average; so he didn't find us insane like the rest of his employees, but he didn't like us enough that he would go out of his way to clear our name.

So I just paid and said goodbye, I didn't want to deal with him as much as he didn't want to deal with me.

I then met up with Emma and Osiric and then went to Dave's shop, but before doing that I checked my card.

The shop function was upgraded a little after getting to F-rank; I could send Dave a message now. I quickly sent him a message that we were coming for his set equipment.

I also found out that he had 10 in stocks. So this would make it a lot more easier to bargain with him.

"Let's go, I have already send him a message so he should be waiting for us." I said to Emma and Osiric.

The reason I knew that he was going to be waiting for us was because of Osiric; he had said that we could trust him, he also said that I could bargain a little with him.

We then started to walk to Dave's shop. It was a little long, but we could still make it in time. After all we did knew a lot of shortcuts in this city.

"This is a lucky day." I said to myself. Emma and Osiric both agreed to that statement; but we were still ready for the unluckiest day ever, after all Osiric was just that unlucky.

Though Emma's natural and boosted luck did help a little bit.

After walking through some alley ways, encountering some disgusting and repulsive things - which we kindly ignored - we then reached Dave's shop.

I didn't expect to again meet him this soon, after all it hadn't even been a day since we had left each other and parted ways.

It felt like as if fate was pulling us together, I don't know if that's the case; but right now I didn't care. I just wanted to meet a good friend - we had grown a lot closer in the 4 days we had been together - and just get better equipment.

After all we are going to have to get serious. Since now we will start to surpass to everything humans back home had made.

This means we are going to start dishing out attacks that would be stronger than any nukes, after all an E-ranker could just vaporize mountain ranges with a single attack.

We then entered Dave's shop, "Hey, Dave!" I called out Dave.

Dave was currently staying in the receptionist area. He smiled, "Tyler!" he called back.

There was no customers so we could meet with him immediately. It was a friendly meeting.
