"Ugh..." Osiric held his head in his arms as he started to wake up.
Emma had started to heal him after explaining everything to Dave, I was currently having small talk with Rind.
"So you are saying that you had retired?" I asked him.
He laughed and answered, "Yes! To be honest, fighting was getting pretty overwhelming for me... *sigh* After living for 135 years and fighting for 100 years straight you start to lose interest in it, I mean if I wasn't mentally stronger due to my class and rank I probably would've broke."
He seemed to reminiscing about something, he looked up at the sky.
Listening to him also made me wonder, how will adventuring affect us mentally. I mean, in this world, it was very easy to live a comfortable life. With how fast development was happening, this world would likely be able to travel to different planets in about 100 years.
It was also strange how some people could do the same repetitive thing for a 100 years straight, it wasn't something I could imagine. Though, to be fair, when you start to class up to master or above, not only does your body change, but you mind does, as well.
It was also the reason why classing up fast can result in your mind breaking if you can't handle it, as you not only need a strong body, but also a strong mind.
"Aren't you a noble, so why did you come here to this village?" I questioned him.
Him being Igrux meant that he was from the family that ruled the city Igrux, one of the largest cities of this country, comparable to Libert.
"Well, to be honest, I don't know. It's one thing that actually bothered me a lot, after all, I don't even like anything other than fighting." the he looked down, he started to think, "I think it has to be with nature, like how you can create life by simply taking care of small things. Yes! It has something to do with nature!"
I wasn't surprised that he didn't know what he liked, after all, his mind was that of a grand saint classer; his mind was something completely incomprehensible to even himself - though a lord classer would probably understand him.
"Tyler, Os' awake." Emma turned at me, I nodded at her and went to see Osiric.
Dave was still processing the situation so he was squatting on the ground.
I looked at Osiric, he was still suffering some mild concussion. The reason for that had to do with Rind punching him.
In this world, the more mana you put in your attack the harder it will be to heal from that attack and you will also suffer from more pain and other damages that will cripple your body. So it wasn't strange that even Emma's broken healing wasn't working.
"Are you ok?" I asked him, "Yeah... probably... I have a huge concussion." he answered.
That was pretty happy to hear, it's not like I had thought that Rind would've harmed Osiric - after all, they had trained together for 10 years straight. But it was still a little bit worrying that a B-ranker had punched him 1km into the air.
The reason for that was the gap between us and a B-ranker was massive, very massive. It was pretty huge, considering even 1 rank difference is huge, much less 4.
"Oh! Boy, you have woken up faster than I thought! Miss, it seems that you are an excellent healer, much more than I thought; especially since-"
"Thank you, I appreciated it." Emma magnificently stopped Rind for saying something that would've ended our relationship with Dave.
I mentally gave her a thumbs up. "Osiric, I will pull the carriage. So, you can just walk." I then took the carriage from Osiric's hand.
I knew I could pull the carriage since I was just as strong, maybe even stronger, than Osiric.
Osiric nodded and then went to Rind, he then started to have some small talk with him. He made sure that Rind doesn't speak that we are otherworlders.
The reason he knew that we were otherworlders, even though he was too weak to know that, was because Osiric himself had said that he would go and team up with otherworlders.
We also learned that to be chosen as an candidate for joining our team, he had to go through tournament.
There were total of 20 tournaments, each tournament was held in a city. And the winners get chosen to be in a otherworlder team, the team of heroes who will vanquish the demon king.
When I asked Osiric what would happen in the demon king was successful in conquering the world, he had replied that there would be a massive operession on the people, many people would actually revolt.
The demon lord was powerful enough to not even be bothered by a lord - though true lords won't act up. So the people will have to wait for another summoning.
Since people on the Osiric were very rare.
We were now pretty close to Osiric's house, "Boy! Your mother would be pretty pleased! You came to visit her only after a month! But seeing how much stronger you have became in a month, I makes sense." Rind said to Osiric as he hit Osiric in the back.
"Yeah, I also very happy. But Mr. Rind, did you really have to punch me to the sky right after you saw me?" Osiric asked him, still a little pissed of that he was punched to space.
"Well boy! I really wanted to see how strong you had gotten after only a month! I mean you did came back only after a month." Rind answered.
That made sense, Osiric had said that he would return to his village to meet his mother after he had gained a certain level of strength -- F-rank.
He had guessed that it would take him 1.5-2 months. So him returning this quickly must be pretty surprising for him, Rind, and his mother.
I was looking at Osiric's and Rind's conversation, so I wasn't focusing on the road. So when Emma had called, "This is your home, right, Os?"
I and Osiric turned forward, Osiric confirmed that it was his house.
"Os, where can I put this carriage?" I asked him, "Oh, the carriage, leave it here. I will put it somewhere. You should probably go meet up with my mom."
I and Emma nodded at him, "Ok, then I am also going, boy! Sera seeing your friend, is something I look forward to."
