Chapter 29 - Chapter 29: Journey Continues

In front of me was a knocked out Osiric, I had won the spar.

But it was very close, Osiric had slashed 100s of times at that time. It was very hard, thankfully, using those many spears made my skills level again.

My dual processing became level 6, spearmanship and elemental spear became level 6, most importantly, all my magic skills became level 6.

With the power-ups I had got from my skills, I could easily block Osiric's barrage. Osiric was shocked, he tried his best; but even then, with my 128 spears - which were going at Mach 25 and were more precise than before - I could easily block all his attacks.

Osiric ran out of mana before I start countering and start parrying. I got very excited, this was the first time I won against Osiric.

The spar made me lose about 6,969 (Heh!) mana in total. It wasn't much, I could easily get them back after resting for some minutes.

Since I didn't have anything to do, I just healed Osiric with my magic - I learned some healing magic from Emma back at the spring.

Though, I still couldn't compare to Emma's healing prowess.

"Man, if I hadn't gone crazy last night. I would've shoved this news down Emma's throat for a week." I said to myself, a little disappointed that I couldn't be obnoxious.

"You win some, you lose some." I then carried Osiric back to the carriage slowly, since Osiric wasn't hurt and suffered from mana deficiency.

Suffering from mana deficiency meant that no matter how resilient you were, if your mana couldn't recover back to full you won't wake up. So they were very deadly when you are low ranked.

Since if a normal person suffered from it, they would get knocked out for a day or so. But at higher ranks mana deficiency is particularly impossible.

Since, after C-rank you basically have infinite mana due to how fast you can recover it back - your mana will be full in about a second.

Osiric, due to his stats being lowered, had to wait until about 20-30 minutes to fully recover his mana.

I couldn't let him just sleep on the ground so I carried him.

I moved very slowly, though back home they would say I was running. We were currently 200m away from the carriage.

We didn't get to the mid-level of the forest because the forest was massive, it was as big as a country. The countries couldn't destroy it since there were lord class monsters in the center, and they numbered in the thousands.

Even lord classes would be afraid to go to the center, except if they are the special lords, who have a title.

When you reach lord class and have gotten enough strength - for example, the magic lord is the best magic-user on this planet - you get a title. Those lords are called true lords, the have a buffed up versions of the laws called authorities; it's just a way stronger version of a law skill.

True lords also have last names - which are very not creative - for example: the space lord would have the surname of Lordspace.

Their surnames have a lot of power, even if they sound stupid. Using their names and praying to god would allow you to get the god's blessing.

Though, it's stupidly hard to get to use their names, and if you try to use their names without their approval; you are going to suffer from torture so inhumane that even the lord themselves are scared of it.

The torture is basically, giving you an eternity of suffering in an instant - the shortest instant (very clever) of time possible, there are about infinite instances in a single Planck time, which is the time required for light to travel the shortest distance in normal physics (A proton is about 10^20 times bigger than Planck space, the shortest distance having any meaning), for eternity.

You also can't get broken, your mind will the embodiment of strength, so you will have to suffer every single second of the suffering. You will try and try, but you won't break, you will try to forget it, get used to it, but you won't.

The cycle of suffering is the highest form of punishment in the entire world. The single person who was given this punishment is still being tortured, has been tortured, and will be tortured. The torture also disregards time as its being given out by a being with infinite dimensions.

Just thinking about it gives me chills.

I reached the carriage, the clearing it was in. "Here you go." I dropped Osiric and put him in his sleeping bag.

I then went and rested my back on a tree, I just looked at them, sleeping - I didn't have anything better to do.

"Thinking about it, I think I don't even miss my old world." I remembered my life back home, except Emma, I didn't have any friends.

It was very alone, my parents only cared about my grades so I didn't have a good relationship with them.

I was also very lazy and didn't want to get anything done. Unlike that, in this world, I have talked with many people.

I have built up a good relationship, rivaling Emma's, with another person. I also work, its disappointing, and very hard. But at the end of the day, being an adventurer was still satisfying.

"I really don't want anything to change." I didn't want anything to change, I just wanted to live a fantasy life.

I didn't want anything to change, so I should probably control myself better. I then waited for some minutes until Osiric woke up.

"Ugh." Osiric held his head with his hand, probably due to the massive headache he got due to mana deficiency.

He looked around and then saw me resting next to the tree, "So I lost, also, what the hell was that thing!"

"You just doubled your spear count, they were stronger, faster, more precise! What happened there? You just easily brushed even when I tried my best." Osiric asked me, genuinely confused.

Getting massive amounts of level 6 while you are not getting experience, and just getting them while you are fighting isn't normal. Since level 6 skills make you surpass limits on all normal beings.

"I just leveled up most of my skills, thanks to you just bombarding with me massive amounts of attacks." I answered.

"Oh!" Osiric then stood up, stretching a little, "that makes little sense, even if you are an otherworlder, it's still very hard to get your skills to level 6 - especially when you have a level 1 class. Maybe you have massive amounts of talent?"

"It's probably because of you," I got a little annoyed, without Osiric we would probably not even be 10% strong as we are currently. He was just that good at teaching us and sparring with us to give us more experience, "I think I also have some talent, I mean I was pretty athletic and smart back home."

I think it's probably because of that I could beat Osiric.

"Sure. But," Osiric cleared his throat, "congratulation! You have finally won against me! That's pretty good!"

Osiric congratulated me happily, he didn't mind that he had lost. It's because of his chill attitude, I could only give him a wry smile.

It was about 5 am, so Emma should wake up now. She will be very surprised to see me and Osiric waking up before her.

I should also apologize to her and Dave, especially since Emma should have calmed down; if she isn't calmed down I have Osiric here.

"So what do you want to when we go back?" I asked Osiric.

"After classing up and ranking up, I really want to go back home." Osiric then thought about something, he smiled and happily said, "Do you want to come with me!?"

I really wanted to go to his village and meet his mother and teacher, but before that, "Won't we be behind schedule?" I asked him.

We needed to be E rank adventurers in about 6 months, E rank adventurers are the people who could destroy mountain ranges with just a single attack; it would be very hard to reach it.

"Considering how you just got level 6 skills, right after you got level 5s, I think we could rest for 1 month and still not be behind schedule." Osiric replied.

He didn't talk about Emma since I could be a baseline for her - due to me and her having the same speed of growth.

"If you are saying that, then we would love to go!" I answered from Emma as well, since she would also be happy to visit Osiric's village.

It would actually be weird if she didn't want to visit his village.

"Then it's settled, let's complete this quest faster." Osiric said to me.

"Ok."
