Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Osiric's Wrath

I then slowly floated down, seeing my destruction caused me to fill up with pride. "It's all my power!" I said to myself as I grinned.

The process was painless and very easy - it was mostly due to dual processing. I then deactivated my boosts, since I didn't need them anymore.

I landed on the ground. After I deactivated my boosts, I felt my vision clear up. It felt like my mind had gotten free, after that I saw the destruction I had caused, "Why did I even do this?" I questioned myself.

I didn't remember what I was thinking when I had caused this much destruction, the entire area was completely leveled, the forest was left burning. Trees were ashes, and massive craters covered the ground. The entire looked barren.

I was soo focused on the destruction I had caused, that I even ignored Emma who was calling me.

"Tyler!!!" Emma shouted, I quickly looked at her. "Umm..." I couldn't say anything because my mind was still processing what I had just done.

"Why the hell did you did this! If you are going to do the same thing again!" Emma touched the bridge of her nose with her right hand and pointed to the trees - or what remained of them - at her side with her left, "Then I am sorry, but I am not going to boost you again. Unless Osiric asks me to do it."

I wasn't surprised that she would still listen to Osiric after she loses her trust on me for combat. Osiric was calm and collected and could make decisions in a flash - though they weren't as good as mine or Emma's. But the most important thing was that he knew how to use our skills even better than us; so we always listened to him for combat practice and tips.

"Uhm..." I was a little ashamed of my behaviour so I couldn't reply, I was still processing my actions. The strange thing was that I couldn't even remember anything after I flew up. I didn't know how to answer her, so I played it safe and said, "I... I lost control, I am very sorry." I tried my best to apologize for it.

Emma was very angry about my behaviour so she didn't accept my apology, she just told me that I will have to keep reflecting on my behaviour. Since Dave could have gotten hurt if Osiric hadn't gone to protect him and that massive amounts of mana could've attracted strong monsters.

Strong monsters would get attracted because the attacks I had just pulled off were the strongest mid intermediate or high F attacks, so high intermediates would come because all monsters wanted to get stronger - and an mid intermediate or high F would help them a lot.

I felt very ashamed so I kept my head down, Emma was angry so she didn't help me. I felt happy that she didn't help me, since it would probably make me feel worse i- I also ignored that she was just that angry and that I would've done the same.

Then I felt the presence of two people coming closer, I was able to feel it because I had leveled up a lot, my skills were high leveled, and that my stats were now stupidly high. I would've been happy if I wasn't busy reflecting on my actions.

I knew both of the presences so I didn't put my guard up. They were Osiric and Dave, I had to apologize to both of them - especially Dave. I put him in danger even though he was the quest giver; which was the epitome of disrespect at the guild.

"What happened." Osiric voice was cold, it was very apathetic, it made the air tremble. I felt chills just because of that. He had his katana unsheathed - which was a named weapon, the deadly aura it released made me feel afraid.

But my shame overpowered it so I only felt even more shame. Osiric would only use his kind voice with us, but when he did use his cold voice it was when he was very angry.

Osiric had the worst temper among us - if he somehow got angry. He had used this voice many times 2 weeks ago when we had gotten careless. At that moment we were a little scared, but happy that he cared about us.

But here, it felt, it felt overpowering for me. It was like everything in my body was made of lead, so I couldn't move. I even couldn't talk - so apologizing wasn't possible. If it was me who had just came to this world, I would've had a mental breakdown.

Even Dave felt chills, though Emma was fine. "He lost control and went crazy." Emma said to Osiric, not affected by the pressure he was releasing, she was just that angry.

Osiric sighed, "You really pissed me off this time. If you had attracted an intermediate monster, I swear to god, I would've have broken every single bone in your body. Thank god, Emma, me, and even Dave helped to make sure the mana didn't spread out."

I could feel the pressure released by him - he didn't release his aura since it would've hurt me.

Everything Osiric had said was literal, he would've really broken every single one of my bones if an intermediate monster got attracted to us.

I didn't feel afraid, but sad, its because he said that because he was very worried about us.

If it was only Dave, he wouldn't have been this angry; he would only have been mildly annoyed. But it was us, so he got very angry - especially since it was my fault.

Osiric would probably break my bones if he sees me for more than a second so he said, "I will go and kill the rest of the monsters, don't disturb me." That sentence was said coldly, but it had such fury in it that it felt like the temperature of the atmosphere got raised by 10 degrees.

The air trembled around him; I wasn't scared, just ashamed. I didn't even want to talk.

Osiric moved at his full speed, probably because he didn't want to be with me for a while. The atmosphere was awkward, and there was nothing I could to improve it. It was my fault after all; so if I tried to change the subject Emma would get even angrier and I didn't even want to talk.

Dave couldn't say anything because of the atmosphere between their party, 'They truly cared a lot about each other' he thought to himself. He didn't want to do anything to change the subject so he only said, "Let's return, we should get some rest."

Dave called us to go back, so I and Emma walked together. She walked 2 meter away from me by my side, she was still angry. We had to walk 200m, so it took us about 2 minutes to reach the carriage.

The horses were all knocked out, probably because of Osiric. Animals in this world were very good at sensing mana, as good as elves, so they would panic when someone uses massive amounts of mana.

Seeing it made me feel even more ashamed of myself. I didn't want to talk about anything, "Let's sleep, your friend would probably come back after he has calmed down." Dave kindly said to us as he went to the front of the carriage.

I and Emma didn't speak, so we just nodded together. We then quietly went to each of our sleeping bags.

"Good night." Dave said kindly as he went to sleep.

We both replied at the same time 'Good night' and slept.

I felt really guilt for my actions, so this night was one of the worst nights in this world.

...

Osiric was running around the area, killing every monster he could find. They were all weak so he didn't have any trouble dealing with them. He used his pure magic to boost himself, his mana pool was about to be empty so he had to be careful about his mana.

But all his training made it easy to manage, so he didn't mind it. Right now he was furious due to Tyler. Osiric didn't get angry a lot, but when he did he would be absoultely furious.

Last time he got angry, he had destroyed a chuck of a forest to calm himself down. He was proud to say that he had more control over his anger now than before, but still he got very angry due to Tyler.

Due to Tyler's mistake both Tyler and Emma could've died today, he was worried out of his mind for them. He then looked at his right and left arms, they were absolutely charred, he refracted light to make them look normal in front of Tyler and also made them unidentifiable - so that Tyler won't feel worse about himself.

The cause for this injury was him controlling fire, water, wind, and earth mana simultaneously. Even though he was helped by Emma and Dave, it still damaged his arms beyond repair.

Due to his body's natural recovery, he would be able to heal from this. But it would take him 1 year to fully heal this. Even with Emma's help, it would still take about a week to heal this injury. He could heal it within an hour if he got Tyler's help, but he wouldn't do it since Tyler would get depressed.

He knew that Tyler and Emma both knew why he was angry, since they possessed the same personality traits. He loved them a lot as friends, it was the same for them as well.

"I think I went too hard on him." Osiric contemplated as he killed 4 monsters with a single slash.

Osiric really didn't want to think more about Tyler, otherwise he wouldn't be able to cool himself. So he practiced with his new skills, the attack skills of the sword and its ice magic.

The sword was already super sharp, and was very light and easy to use. Due to magic, he didn't need to make it heavy and it's sharpness helped a lot as well.

He used icicle barrage at first, it only costed 3mp and made ten 1m long and 30 cm wide icicles. He fired all of them at once, he didn't care about the environment because Tyler had already decimated it.

It worked wonderfully, he was very satisfied with it. He then used Aka Yuki, or Red Snow. His sword turned red, its attack was increased by 25% and it became 10% faster.

Seeing that it was a boosting skill - he didn't know because he doesn't have appraisal - he then used pure snow.

Then all of a sudden, his sword was enchanted with ice. It increased its stats by 50%, which made Osiric much stronger. It didn't cost mana at all, his sword now froze the air, and made small ice crystals, it also left a blue trail - which turned red due to Aka Yuki.

He had to admit it, it looked very cool. He then found the final group of monsters. There were about 50 monsters in total, he wanted to find out what Shi no Yuki - Snow of Death - did.

"Shi no Yuki." Immediately, in a radius of 10m - with him in the center - was frozen, the temperature reached absolute zero. Osiric was surprised to find it was so cold, especially since it only costed him 40 mana - meaning he could make it even more powerful.

Though he didn't know, his appearance had also changed, his white hair now had a blue tint and his red eyes were shining with ice-blue light. His skin looked pale. In short, he looked like a death itself was personified as snow.

This attack made all his attacks cold, very cold, no, absolute cold. It also made all the monsters around him get slower, they were also getting frozen. Even then, due to his curse the monsters still didn't flee.

Osiric froze the ground with each step, he also was notified that he can only use this form for 5 minutes and then there would be a cooldown of 5 hour - it was cut to 1 hour due to his ice magic.

Osiric slowly walked, the monsters were getting frozen solid. He didn't get hindered by the ice at the ground and didn't feel it as well. Osiric wanted to use his most powerful attack, White End, in this form.

He then charged himself with massive amounts of ambient pure mana, this time he also used the ambient ice mana that was increased due to his form freezing the surroundings.

"White Snow of Death" he said the name of his new technique, it was cool. He took inspiration from Tyler, but since he didn't want to remember about him he quickly changed his focus to the frozen monsters which were in front of him.

He then slashed his sword once, due to Shi no Yuki; the slash only slashed at the monsters at their vital points. It made sure they were dead. Due to him not using his pseudo mana weapon, it wasn't blinding, and didn't use a lot of mana.

He used the rest of his remaining mana to make sure the mana didn't spread out - and attract more monster - and all of it was used to attack the monsters. Osiric then deactivated Shi no Yuki.

Shi no Yuki had also given him cold immunity, so he didn't feel the temperature drop. But after deactivating it; he then felt how cold was absolute zero; thankfully his max cold resistance skill gave him enough time to get out so he wouldn't get frostbites.

"Haah," Osiric was about 50 meters away from the spot where he had deactivated Shi no Yuki, "It's going to very useful.", Osiric then put all his stat points he had gotten from leveling up.

He was now currently level 23, and his sword's rank was 6. So he was more powerful than before - even when he didn't get weaker due to his curse.

"I should probably head back, I have also calmed down." Osiric smiled, and started to slowly walk back to the carriage; he didn't want to sleep so he used his mana to make it unnecessary - it was a bad habit but he didn't want to sleep today.

He also looked at his hands, they were still charred. He couldn't feel anything from them. It was a little disappointing.
