"Greetings to all the new students of Liber Academy! I am your 25th school principal, Mr Arbor. And it is not far a stretch to say that the entirety of our staff is all very happy to welcome you on your journey for the years to come and offer our correspondence when needed.
Many of you may begin to develop a longing for home, it is a normal occurrence, and you will be pleased to note that the weekly messenger circle has already been activated and available in all yearly quarters and offices.
I know that many of you are disheartened from being on their own now, having to rely upon themselves, but we urge you to take this as a challenge. A duel.
Would students of Liber Academy allow such a little problem as having to stand to collect breakfast, defeat them? We expect a gracious consideration for the fact that there are no servants here to collect your food.
We are a proud school and are happy to take in so many people with potential such as you, however, it is to be reminded that poor or rich, you students, were all selected based on magic potential. Everyone here has the potential for greatness, and we, your teachers, are proud to be given the chance to guide you.
Once again, welcome to Liber School of Knights and Magic.
Now, Mr Tabor will give you more information about your courses."
The man leaving the stage was wise but rather youthful in appearance.
This contradiction, however, can be explained by the elongated ears pointing out from a curtain of dark hair.
This was a man of elvish descent.
It was a wonder as to why such a man had even come here anyways. As most of them chose to stay in their forest.
Though it is not unknown for some to explore. They are said to be very curious creatures after all.
"Greetings, students. I am Mr Tabor."
The man was surprisingly fluent in the use of long sentences. Despite what his rough appearance says. Though the man's annoyed appearance shows that he may be here on dubious consent but he does seem to make an effort to appeal to the like minds in the room.
"To all you potential knights out there, there will be extra training in the barracks at night time for all those interested! It'll be personally led by me, so you can be assured of its worth!"
Unfortunately, the only person seeming to be interest is the little red-haired 'prince' from earlier.
Suitable with his tough manner or appearance is that he favours the brute strength of a knight over the less physical and more intricate life of a magician.
"Pfft! What a simple person." Amir continued to take much enjoyment from watching the wide range of emotions the red-head displayed throughout the speech. "He is much like a puppy."
"The school is separated into two sections! The magic section and the knight section. Both have their barracks and classrooms on opposite ends of the school. However, there are still basic joint classes. Consisting of the learning of the national language of Opulence, and the studies of history, maths, and science.
These subjects need to be fulfilled to the national standard, and if failed the student will be temporarily be pulled out of all classes until all rudimentary subjects are passed!
These will also be other times where all classes will get together, regardless of your status as a knight or magician. Most of these events would be held in the hall you are currently in, or the one beside the principles building.
After these two sections, everyone is separated into three groups depending upon pre-collected background information. The sections are as follows: Class A, Class B, and Class C. Class C is the lowest rank with Class A being the highest. There are tests held every month to judge whether you need to be moved up or down a class, so do not waste time worrying if you do not get put in a suitable class!
You were already given a script of information this morning containing both your class timetable and all that was and will be spoken about today in more detail, so please consult that before looking for assistance as we teachers will be very busy setting up your first class!
Thank you for listening, now, Miss Keemer will be up to discuss to you about living spaces."
A fair number of students who had been previously slouching dreadfully rose higher in their seats, urging the new teacher to be faster in their speech.
"Haha. Thank you Mr Tabor, and greeting students of Liber Academy. I am your vice principal, Miss Keemer."
This teacher was rather slim in body and delicate in features. She held himself with the elegance of a Duchess despite most likely never having the training.
Amir could tell that many were fond of her already as her presence was a soothing balm to the previously loud teacher.
"As Mr Tabor explained earlier, you will all be separated into two sections. Each of the buildings is, as previously made mention, on opposite sides of the school, to avoid any confusion in the curriculum.
Both buildings are composed of sections designated for your level of the year. And as you are all twelve years old, and starting your first year, there will be easy access to a teacher at all times.
Along with these sections are the student body consisting of one student from both the magic and knight course for every year. These students are allocated by the teachers in secret. They will be scheduled to come to the annual meetings, or else their position can be taken into question.
There will be a door leading to the bed chambers from year level common-areas.
Now, onto rooms."
She paused, leaving most waiting with bated breath for the news.
"You will each have your own furnished bed quarters. Consisting of the properly filled ensuite. There will be cleaners coming bi-weakly. So you are allowed to have the stuff cleaners come around bi-weekly if you are properly signed down in advance. Such forms will be posted in your year level common room.
You will not be required to move rooms yourself as you move up a year, but your belongings will be relocated to the appropriate room.
You can find your current bedroom accommodations pointed out on your designated map, and it will be marked out the same in the following five years to come.
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask the deputy of your respective division. I am sure they will all be very willing to help."
