Chapter 4 - Lewin Town

In the inside of the forest, two figures engaged in the middle of chasing and running. Those two figures belonged to each Demonic Tiger and Lysa.

"Tch! This tiger surely had great patience. Its been 20 minutes but he didn't stop chasing me at all." Lysa snorted in displeasure. Clearly, she has been upset by the stubbornness of the tiger. If it were in another time when she had the boost power, she would make sure this arrogant tiger pay its price for chasing her.

The pursuit continued until Lysa could finally see the end forest. There stood a large group of people carried weapons.

"Elder, we've been informed that Yanto has getting chased by a demonic beast." One of the clansmen spoke out.

"Elder, please save my big brother!" A little girl miserable cried.

The elder rubbed the little girl head, "Rest assured, this elder would make sure your big brother didn't get any severe injuries." He then turned to another of his clansmen, "What are you waiting for? Let's go before its too late."

The clansmen nodded their heads and about to take action but stopped when their eyes spotted a swift figure coming from the forest.

"What is that?" One of the clansmen pointed.

The little girl turned to the pointed direction, not long after that, her eyes widened in horror. She covered her mouth and spoke with a high pitch voice, "T-That's a big brother!"

The elder frowned slightly hearing that. He squinted his eyes to see clearly who those figures might be. The thing he saw was a beautiful woman carrying someone on her shoulder. While he immersed in his thought, he felt a tug on his shirt.

"Elder, Elder. Please save him." The little girl pleaded.

Though the elder was quite suspicious about the identity of the woman, he knew that his clansmen member were in a dangerous state, so he didn't dare linger any longer and quickly dashed from his current place.

*Woosh*

The tiger was initially intend to pursue the woman all day long. But his sharp eyes caught a human figure coming to his direction. If he were battled one-on-one with the woman, probably he could attain a win. But now with another human helping her, he can't guarantee his victory anymore. The tiger knew when the time he should attack and retreat, so with a heavy heart, he decisively fled and roared in reluctance.

Seeing the tiger was not pursuing her anymore, Lysa sighed of relief. She swears that if her power improves, she will make that arrogant tiger know its consequences for chasing her.

Lysa already noticed that a human approaching her, so she stopped her tracks and waited for the human to appear.

Lysa waited for a few seconds before the elder finally arrived. The elder was quite shocked by the gorgeous appearance of the woman before him, but soon he recovered and asked politely, "May I know your name, miss?"

Lysa narrowed her eyes slightly before raising her hand and waved it, "You don't need to know, I just want to deliver this fellow here." She pointed the unconscious little boy on her shoulders with a chin.

The corner of the elder mouth twitched hearing how the woman before him impolitely replied. Though he was feeling unpleasant on his heart, he didn't dare to say it since the woman in front of him so mysterious. This girl could even escape without any scratch from the previous demonic tiger he saw.

Without waiting for his response, Lysa casually threw the boy over the elder direction. She was feeling uncomfortable all this time when carrying the little boy. Fortunately, the person was still a child. If it were another person older, Lysa would likely carry the person like trash or watch him get killed by the demonic tiger.

The elder swiftly caught it and carried it carefully. He inspected the boy body and heaved a sigh of relief seeing the injuries is recoverable. If the boy were disabled, his future would be limited, and maybe his families would drown in sorrow.

He stared at the woman with gratitude, "Thank you, miss. Would you mind coming to our Lewin town?"

Lysa, in the middle of twirling her hair raised her head and calmly replied, "Sure."

Though she didn't want to get acquainted with a stranger, she didn't have any other choice since she basically didn't have any other particular destination. Maybe stayed at peaceful town would make her memories recover faster. With that thought, Lysa followed the elder from behind toward the town.

Arrived there, many people stared curiously at Lysa, making her more uncomfortable each second passed. The elder finally had to resort using his abilities to calm the crowd. He cleared his throat and pointed at the lady beside him.

"This miss has saved Yanto from a dangerous demonic beast and planned to settle here for a few days." He then narrowed his eyes dangerously, "Don't you dare thinking something weird or else you will face the consequences."

The elder then turned to the little girl, "Your brother is not in a critical state, but his injuries still needed immediate treatment. So I planned to treat him first."

The little girl bowed sincerely, "Thank you for saving my brother, elder."

The elder simply waved his hand and pointed Lysa, "Don't thank me. You should thank this miss instead."

The little girl lifted her head and gratefully looked at Lysa. She bowed deeply, "Thank you, big sister."

Lysa merely nodded as a response. The elder then turned toward Lysa, "Follow me."

Lysa obediently followed him and soon both their figure slowly disappear from the crowd sight.

Since Lysa was not talkative by her nature, she only asks a few main questions to the elder. From it, Lysa become to know that the elder name is Tonpa, and Luwin City is one of the many cities that pledged its loyalty toward the Miride Kingdom.

Currently, Luwin City has more about a thousand residents. That vast number was quite a shock for a naive Lysa. She didn't think that a small town like this could accommodate a thousand people. Apparently, those numbers could be attained because most of their young family members are prefer going out of the city to search for a better opportunity.

After one awakened its bloodline, its fate could end up as a mediocre or legend. Because the temptation of fame and power was so attractive, many young people were interested to adventure on their own in the outside world.

Lysa then noticed a commotion on a particular spot. There exists a huge crowd circling a grey huge stone tablet. The grey giant stone tablet was standing there quietly, looking ancient and majestically. As a person that worse than a country-bumpkin, Lysa couldn't help but asked it curiously, "What is that?"

Tonpa followed her pointed finger and answered, "That's Blood Monolith."
