"Blood Monolith?" Lysa said with a bit tone of uncertainty. Why does it call Blood Monolith if its color were grey?
With a weird expression, Elder Tonpa asked Lysa, "You don't know Blood Monolith?" Is there even a person that didn't know about Blood Monolith in this world?
Lysa shook her head as the response.
Elder Tonpa eyed Lysa from head to toe with a weird gaze. This lady has great strength, but didn't know where it comes from?
"Let's deliver this boy first. After that we will head to Blood Monolith and I'll tell you the detail of it later." Elder Tonpa said after contemplating for a moment.
Lysa nodded in agreement. Anyway, she didn't have any urgent matter, and the boy was basically in a dire state. It would be best if he got treated soon.
On the way, some people courteously greet Elder Tonpa and would look at Lysa with curious gazes. But Elder Tonpa dismissed them immediately the moment they wanted to ask about Lysa.
Lysa heaved a sigh of relief seeing those people obeying Tonpa easily. She didn't want to tangle on a conversation with a stranger at the moment because her mind was already preoccupied with the thought of her memory lost matter and why blood affects her body so much. Knowing those people would most likely ask where she comes from, Lysa didn't know whether to laugh or cry because she even wants to know about it!!
Soon after, the Lysa duo arrived in the infirmary. A scent of medicine quickly greets Lysa nose. She sniffed repeatedly and realized that the smell of blood was more pleasant for her. So Lysa stopped his sniffing action and quietly standing behind Elder Tonpa.
Elder Tonpa which noticed Lysa action immediately chuckled, "I know you youngster always hates those medicine scent. Rest assured since we won't take a long time."
Lysa shrugged her shoulders and silently waited.
"Reynard!" Elder Tonpa shouted.
Lysa was expecting the person that would come out was middle-aged. But she was wrong, and it turns out the person who comes out was a handsome man. The man looked refined with his glassed on and a lab coat, but that image terribly contrasted with his messy hair appearance.
Reynard rubbed his messy hair making it more miserable than before, then speak lazily, "What's going on, Old Pan?"
Elder Tonpa was speechless seeing Reynard shown no politeness while speaking to him, but he didn't say anything and immediately handed the unconscious boy.
"Can you treat him, Reynard?"
Reynard picked the boy up and inspected his injuries. After a minute, Reynard raised his hand and calmly replied, "He's not in a critical state, but he needs approximately a few months to stay at the bed so that his injuries wouldn't relapse."
Hearing Reynard explanation, Elder Tonpa patted his chest in relief, "That's good, that's good."
Reynard placed the boy on the empty bed and grab a bunch of medicines herb. While doing his job, Reynard speaks without raising his head, "Please leave if you don't have any purpose anymore. I'm quite feeling uncomfortable when someone watched me doing my job."
Elder Tonpa awkwardly cleared his throat, "Cough...Okay then. Thank you, Reynard."
Reynard merely nodded his head in response and didn't say anything else. Seeing that, Elder Tonpa turned around to leave while Lysa followed him behind.
While mixing the herbs, Reynard feels someone stare at him, so he raised his gaze to scold that person but only ended up stunned. A pair of gorgeous purple-eyes greet his vision. That pair of eyes were staring calmly at him and didn't contain anything else but curiosity.
Lysa didn't say anything and immediately turned her body around, her purplish-black hair swaying in the air, and only leaving behind its unique fragrance. Reynard quickly composed himself and soon returned to his working state. But he couldn't brush a thought about that familiar pair of eyes. It as if he have seen it somewhere.
Lysa didn't know that her own self already caused a certain person in turmoil. She calmly followed Elder Tonpa toward Blood Monolith direction.
"Uncle, what is the function of Blood Monolith?" Lysa curiously asked.
Hearing her question, Elder Tonpa didn't feel strange since Lysa didn't even know what Blood Monolith is.
"If you don't mind, would you like to hear the origin of Blood Monolith first?"
Lysa nodded her head in agreement. She was also curious about the origin of that grey stone tablet.
"Well, from what I've learned, the Blood Monolith was come from outside our world. It's from the place where only darkness resides. That Blood Monolith landed on our world as we've known meteorite. The numbers of Monolith that descent was not one or two nor three, but hundreds!"
"Hundreds?" Lysa was shocked by the number of hundreds. She didn't have any thought that a grey stone tablet actually numbered in hundreds on this world.
"Yes. You must be shocked, right? I was shocked too when I learned it for the first time. I thought Lewin City that I take pride in was special because of the appearance of the Blood Monolith. It turns out there are many Blood Monolith that spread across the world. From the rumors I've heard, there is currently 999 Blood Monolith presence in this world."
"999? Not 1000?" Lysa doubtfully asked.
"I'm not also quite sure, but the rumors said 999. Anyway, its just rumors, so don't take it seriously, haha." Elder Tonpa laughed. He then continued his speech, "Those rumored 999 Blood Monolith was said placed equally on Five Great Continents."
"Five Great Continents?" Lysa innocently asked.
Elder Tonpa shook his head at Lysa ignorance, "Five Great Continents consist of Human Continent, Vampire Continent, Dwarf Continent, Elf Continent, Demon Continent."
"If you want to know about the Five Great Continent in detail, you should visit the library tomorrow. Now, we should back to the main topic. The Blood Monolith function was to trigger someone bloodline within its body. The moment Blood Monolith activates someone bloodline. Its bloodline would gain the person extraordinary abilities. Let me show an example." With that, Elder Tonpa immediately clenched his fist, and magically a red ball appeared on his hand.
"This is the ability of mine. I named it Red Form. With this ability, I could form this Red Thing to whatever I wanted." Elder Tonpa magically turns the red ball into a red sword, ax, and so on.
"Wow." Lysa muttered in awe. That show was quite eye-popping for an outdated person like Lysa. She also envied to do things like that, but sadly the only thing she can do was punching barbarically.
"Bloodline not only grants you the ability, but it also increases your physical power tremendously. You do watch me coming to your direction swiftly before, right?"
Lysa nodded. When she was getting chased by the demonic tiger, she already noticed that the tiger stopped its chase because he sensed a presence coming toward his direction swiftly. If the demonic tiger could feel it, why wouldn't she?
"That's was the advantage bloodline offered. I also noticed that your physical strength also didn't lose to mine and that was quite amazing since you are still young. Did you already awaken your bloodline before?" Elder Tonpa asked amazedly. He was more than surprised the moment he noticed the strength of the woman before him.
"I-I.." Lysa was at a loss in words. She didn't know how to reply to the Elder Tonpa question. Should she tell him that she lost her memory? But what if Elder Tonpa character didn't as good as he looks. What if Elder Tonpa decides to capture and report her to his superior. There's too many if in her mind, and waking up in a foreign place taught her a lesson to not trust a person quickly.
Lysa was always in a vigilant state since she escaped from the forest. She didn't know what would happen if her identity disclosed. So without a doubt, Elder Tonpa question caught her off guard and making her in confusion state. Should she tell him or not?
Elder Tonpa which observed the changes in Lysa expression all this time know her thoughts and immediately assured her, "If you feel a burden about answering my question, don't answer it then. It's not like I urgently need your answer, so just take your time."
Lysa meekly nodded her head. She was getting more uncomfortable hearing that ensuring words. She knows that Elder Tonpa didn't mean anything and only asked purely out of curiosity. While Lysa feels more terrible, Elder Tonpa immediately changed the topic so to ease the gloomy mood, "Ah, look there, someone planned to awaken its bloodline."
As expected, Lysa quickly got her attention diverted and excitedly looking at the Blood Monolith. Without waiting for Elder Tonpa consent, Lysa quickly strides over there. Elder Tonpa only shook his head watching her back.
