"Hey! Don't touch me! I didn't even do anything wrong!"Shu Ling shouted at the body guards who were currently dragging her towards the Yuo family's dungeon. "You dare disrespect me?! I am the second miss of the Yuo family!"She screamed loudly as she struggled to get out of the bodyguards' grip.
They ignored her pleas and continued dragging her. "Are you guys courting death or what? I will make sure my father knows of th-" Thud.Shu Ling was thrown onto the floor of the dungeon mercilessly and locked inside. One bodyguard looked at her and sneered, "The Yuo family has disowned you already! Look at how pathetic you are!" They then turned around leaving the dungeons.
Shu Ling felt her leg went numb at the words of the bodyguard. 'How...how did this happen?' Just then footsteps could be heard walking towards her cell. "How pathetic."Shu Ling looked up to see an elegant woman with long black hair and a fringe holding onto a man who looked very well off. "Older Sister!"Shu Ling yelped clutching at the bars of the cell as she looked up at her older sister, Shu Hui who was standing beside her very own fiancé.
"Yu Zhe? What...?" He looked at the broken Shu Ling indifferently before placing an arm around Shu Hui. "What...are you leaving me just because I was framed that I killed someone?! I didn't kill Wen Chen! Please believe me!" Shu Ling cried as she tried reaching out towards her sister through the bars. Her hand was immediately kicked away.
Shu Ling looked up in shock at her sister who had just kicked her hand. Shu Hui cruelly smiled and bent down, "Of course I believe you...I even know who framed you, too bad no one will believe you..." Shu Ling frowned as she stared into Shu Hui's dark brown eyes.
"Don't tell me you..." Realisation struck her. The murderer...was standing right in front of her! Even if she had told everyone what happened, no one would've believed her due to her conflicts with Wen Chen. At that time Wen Chen and Yu Zhe were merely sitting together talking about homework, but jealousy ignited a fire in Shu Ling causing her to attack her aggressively. Since then they had always been on bad terms. But why did Shu Hui plan all of this...? Everyone favoured her, everyone thought of her as better and mature....so why?
"At least you have some sense now," Shu Hui smirked as she looked at Shu Ling who was glaring at her furiously. "Why." Was the only word that was able to come out of Shu King's mouth. Shu Hui's smirk immediately disappeared as she snarled, "The inheritance grandfather gave you. After he died, you got so much of his shares at the Yuo company, you wouldn't think I would've let you beat me right?"
Shu Ling face fell apart, she would've never had guessed that the older sister she had always looked up to was like this. She glanced at Yu Zhe, it was the same for him, she gave him her love everyday non stop. Loving him endlessly and trusting her was the biggest mistake she had done. Shu Hui was bored of Shu Ling's silence and ordered the bodyguards,"Execute her." She then walked away with Yu Zhe's arm around her shoulders.
Shu Ling felt neither fear nor anger, she felt hurt to the point she was disappointed with herself for trusting them. She was dragged lifelessly towards the electric chair. What about mom and dad...? Were they in on this...? Were they... Sudenly a wave of current went up her body, inflicting pain on every single part of her. "Revenge..." was the last thing she said before blacking out.
Shu Ling woke up screaming as she touched her hands. They weren't burnt, but instead very soft? She furrowed her eyes, was it just a dream? It was really realistic... She glanced around the room, ah she was in her room, it was decorated to look asthetic, but being spoilt she added many things on the walls causing it to look ugly. She turned to grab her phone but what showed on her home screen shocked her. '7 August 2025' "What...?" Her brows furrowed together with a look of confusion written over her face.
"It was 3 years before I died which means i'm 18...?" Shu Ling mumbled to herself. "I really was reincarnated?" She smirked. Pushing herself out of bed she went to look in the bathroom, she really was 18! At the age of 20 she had gotten her first tattoo on her right cheek but now, the tattoo was gone!
She rubbed her face astonished that the ugly tattoo was finally gone from her face! Shu Ling smiled as she went into the shower. After she was done showering she brushed her teeth and wore a black track pants and a white shirt. It was something that she wouldn't normally have worn. Normally she would've worn dresses decorated in lots of frills just to impress Yu Zhe. How foolish. She chuckled to herself. She let down her long brown hair which were slightly curled due to her hair bun and was about to leave when a knock was heard on the door.
"Come in." Shu Ling flatly said, guessing that it was Ru en who was under Shu Hui. ' Dogs under their master.' She thought to herself. The door opened revealing Ru en and Shu Hui. "Ah good morning sister, Yu Zhe has just arrived-what are you wearing?" She asked, surprised at Shu Ling's change of clothing. 'Did she run out of dresses or what?' Shu Hui thought to herself. "What? I can't wear this?" Shu Ling deadpanned.
"How dare you speak so rudely towards-!" Ru en was about to scold Shu Ling but was stopped by Shu Hui. Shu Hui held back the anger she was hiding and plastered a smile, "Ah I was just curious at your sudden change of attire now let's hurry, Yu Zhe is here." Shu Hui said walking towards Shu Lin and grabbing her hand like they were the closest of buddies.
Shu Lin automatically felt disgusted at this but did not show it, a businessman had to be good at concealing their facial expressions. If she did not, then what was the point of being reincarnated? When she was showering, many thoughts went through her mind, but there was one that kept popping up in her mind. Gaining more power to defeat Shu Hui and the other betrayers. She knew one of the only ways was to establish herself as one of the top businessmen. 'I'll build one of my own business empire.' She smiled at the thought as she continued following Shu Hui.
