As soon as Shu Ling left the bakery, all the swag and bravo was gone and panic was seen on her face. 'God what did I just do?What if he's pissed off and decides to tell everyone and ruins my plan!' Shu Ling thought as she bit on her nails nervously.
"Tch!" She groaned as she went into the taxi she had booked not long ago. "To the Luo residence." She said to the driver. The driver nodded and started driving.
The Luo residence:
Opening the door to her house, Shu Ling quietly stepped in only to meet an empty house. 'Wow, it's really more peaceful...' She smiles to herself before turning to her butler, "Uncle, are my parents asleep?" He nodded.
Nodding, she walked up stairs towards her room.
As soon as her feet touched the room, Shu Ling jumped right on to her bed. Thinking back at what she had done today, she smiled. Though, she was still worried about Luo Chen telling everyone about Yu Zhe and Shu Hui. As soon as she thought of her new office, she smiled. "I'll become one of the top gaming companies!"
"Thank you Grandpa!" Shu Ling smiled as she looked at her newly made company that was filled with many employees. Shu Ling then closed her phone screen and began walking towards her company.
During the interview, the employees were not informed of who their CEO was. Since Shu Ling had just left the university, she was wearing an oversized shirt and track pants. As soon as she stepped in, all eyes were on her as her choice of clothings were, special.
Ignoring the gazes, Shu Ling was about to walk into the elevator but was stopped by an employee. Her hair was neatly trimmed and she looked very pure. On her office tag it said that her name was Jina. "Hello! Sorry but in order to enter the elevator you have to work here or have an appointment." She said smiling. Shu Ling looked at her, she was supposedly her assistant but what a shame she doesn't even know who her employer is.
Before Shu Ling could reply, a loud cry came from the entrance. "Noooo! I don't want to work! I'm still young! Father your so cruel!" At the door was a young man who looked about 20 years old being dragged by an old man towards the counter. The interaction between the two attracted the eyes of many others.
"Long Luo Chen?" Shu Ling muttered to herself with her eyes wide opened. The old man ignored his son's complains and continued dragging him to the counter. Everyone was shocked by the two, everyone was able to recognise them of course. The Long family is one of the greatest families, each game that they create brought them billions of dollars.
Such an elegant family was creating a ruckus like this?! Many watched with their eyes wide opened. Shu Ling turned her attention back to Jina who was still standing in front of her. "Follow me, I'll show you who I am." Shu Ling entered the lift and gestured Jina to follow her. Jina obediently followed her into the lift.
Because of how she was the CEO, she worked at the highest level of the office. Jina, seeing that Shu Ling pressed the highest level, her jaw dropped with her eyes wide opened. "CEO..." Her voice quivered as she looked up at Shu Ling.
Shu Ling gave her smile before walking towards her office as she signaled Jina to leave. She stepped into the office and glanced around her room. It was amazing. She smiled as she took out her phone and walked to the window that had a view of a small part of the city.
"Grandpa...I'm guessing that the reason why the long family is here is because of you?" At the other end of the line, her grandfather let out a chuckle. "Heh, my granddaughter has become smarter! I got close to the present head of the Long family because when he was younger, I had saved him from a river. Since his son had always been lazy and aloof ever since he was forced to bring a wife home, he made his son come to help you!"
Shu Ling was speechless at her grandfather's words,'forced to bring back a wife?' That had never been mentioned in her previous life. They chatted for a little longer before she hung up the phone. She sat down at her chair and flipped through the pages of a file.
Just then, someone knocked on the door. Someone poked their head in and bowed before speaking, "Ms Yuo...there are two people from the Long family waiting to see you. Should I let them in?" It was Jina. Shu Ling gave her a nod before Jina I opened the door wider.
"Ms Yuo, pleasure to meet you." The old man smiled warmly at her with his hand on his son's year. "Shu Ling...?" Luo Chen muttered dumbfounded after seeing her. Shu Ling smiled as she gestured the two of them to seat at the couch. "Mr Long pleasure to meet you too!" She said giving a bright smile.
"Greet her too you brat!" Mr Long said as he pulled his son's ear. "Ow ow! I will! Let go!" Luo Chen said as he struggled to push his father's hand off. Mr Long finally let go and Luo Chen greeted her, "Shu Ling." "Luo Chen." The air was tense because of how wary Shu Ling was of Luo Chen.
Mr Long, noticing the situation immediately stepped into the conversation, "Haha Shu Ling, your grandfather must've mentioned why we came here right! That old man really is a life saver to both me and my son!" He said chuckling. Shu Ling gave a small smile as she nodded, "Yep, and apparently he is good at coding?" "Yes!" Mr Long nodded his head excitedly. "So I was thinking if you could take him under your wing."
"AHEM AHEM COUGH !" Luo Chen who was quietly sipping his tea while listening to the conversation choked on his tea.
