In her previous life, Xing Jing was always hanging alone in the corner. She had constantly been bullied badly by a group of girls that Shu Ling had never acknowledged. The reason why she was bullied in the first place all started when she fell head over heels for Jie Cheng, Wen Cheng's brother and one of the popular guys.
The leader of the group had also had a crush on Jie Cheng, so when she saw Xing Jing making a move on him. She lost it. Everyday she would be constantly bullied by her and come to school with bruises all over. Jie Cheng eventually stepped in and protected Xing Jing, then confessed his feelings towards Xing Jing. Later on, he told her everything he did was a dare and it was fake.
Xing Jing then fell into depression and ended up going to therapy, while all of this was happening Shu Ling never bothered with it. All she had was Yu Zhe in her eyes.
Shu Ling glanced at her, 'If this was the past me, I would never had bothered with her, but having experience on being backstabbed, I'll just help her...' Shu Ling gave a small smile to Xing Jing. They started talking and found that they clicked with each other thus decided to exchange phone numbers before keeping their phones away when the teacher came.
After a few lectures, it was finally lunch time. Shu Ling and Xing Jing walked together to the school canteen as they continued chatting away.
The rest of the day passed with Shu Ling taking notes in every session and passing notes with Xing Jing. Other then that nothing really happened, that was until school was finally over.
"Yes grandpa! I'll come over to the restaurant by 7:30! Uncle Lu drives pretty fast so I should be able to make it in ten minutes! Alright see you there!" Shu Ling ended the phone call and was just about to call her driver when Shu Hui called her from behind. "Shu Ling! Uncle Lu is not coming to fetch us today, I wanted him to take a break."
Mumbles from behind her said,
"How considerate!"
"Haha this is why Shu Hui is the older one!"
"Would Shu Ling have done the same?"
"Haha haha stop telling jokes! She wouldn't!"
Shu Ling clenched her fists, "Sister, why didn't you tell me earlier? Grandpa and Grandma will have to wait so long for me now. Good Job." She sarcastically said. Shu Hui's face darkened at the mention of the word Grandpa but she quickly covered it up with an innocent face, "But Uncle Lu has two kids and a pregnant wife, shouldn't he help take care of them?" People around her started comforting her saying that it wasn't her fault but Shu Ling's.
Shu Ling scoffed and said, "Grandpa is old and none of you accompanies him while I'm the only one who actually does, that's it i'm running." Before Shu Hui could reply Shu Ling started dashing, her speed was incredibly fast...for 30 seconds.
"Ugh! Why didn't I exercise?" Shu Ling attempted to continue running but then she saw Luo Chen who was walking with a bike alongside with him. Immediately she shouted, "Hi! Hi!" Luo Chen turned to see a Shu Ling who's hair was messed up running towards him. As soon as she reached him she grabbed onto his bike. "I need to borrow this please! Pity this girl and let her borrow your bike please!" Luo Chen looked at her for a moment before saying, "Do you even know how to ride a bike?"
"No"
Luo Chen frowned, he hopped onto his bike and patted his back seat indicating for her to seat on it, "Hop on, where are you going?" "Golden Rivers." The bike then started moving. The second young master of the Long family and the second young miss of the Yuo family? They gained a lot of attention as some gawked at the scene.
Shu Ling who was feeling awkward at where to put her hands, grabbed onto the edge of the seat. As she grabbed onto the edge, the bicycle suddenly bumped causing Shu Ling to suddenly grab on to Luo Chen's shirt. "Ah sorry!" She apologised, letting go. Luo Chen hummed back in reply.
After awhile they finally reached Golden Rivers, Shu Ling quickly got off and thanked him. "Thank you so much! I'll be sure to pay you back! You wasted your time, so I promise to pay you back well!" "Ah wait-"Before Luo Chen could interject, Shu Ling had ran off to meet her grandfather.
Luo Chen looked at the bicycle, 'This isn't my bike though, not to mention I was on the way here because...' "Luo Chen! What took you so long? Oh my god! My bike!" A male began running towards Luo Chen before throwing himself at him. "Luo Chen my best buddy! Thanks!"
Luo Chen pushed him off before saying, "Zhou Lei, get off. Where's the others?" Zhou Lei pouted before replying, "Brother Luo Chen do you not care about me anymore how could you-" "Zhou Lei! Are you gay?! You dare cheat on me?!" A loud screech could be heard at the entrance of the restaurant.
"Ack! My dear wife! It's not like that I was just joking around!" Zhou Lei looked at the female frantically. Luo Chen looked at him and snickered before making his way into the restaurant along with Zi Han pulling Zhou Lei's ear angrily. 'I see why they are dating...' Luo Chen smirked as he thought to himself while entering the VIP area.
