As soon as Shu Ling entered her class, the whole class fell into silence. Once again, ignoring the stares and whispers she got, she walked down the stairs and seated at the second front row.
'This time, I better actually study hard and not mess around like last time.' So what if she reincarnated? She had never paid any attention to the lessons taught at school and was always busy on her phone.
While waiting for the teacher to come, she took out her phone and started scrolling through her social media. Her phone at that time was nothing but a price of metal. When she was 20 years old, a new type of phone was created. But instead of having to carry it around, she was able to project it from a small box and it functioned like a normal phone. It was given to her as a birthday present from Yu Zhe.
In comparison to the phone she was using now, the phone she had now was trash compared to the one that was able to be projected.
'Hmm, what if I steal this idea-ah it's not considered stealing until I turn 20 isn't it? If I sell this idea, I would be able to make lots of money!' Despite the fact that she wanted to make one to sell it, she could not because of the fact that she did not how to make it. Shu Ling sighed as she contemplated on how to earn money with an idea.
As Shu Ling was deep in thought, a female along with some others, made her way towards Shu Ling. Feeling a gaze on her, Shu Ling looked up only to meet the eyes of Jun Wen Chen. In her past life due to her jealousy, she and Wen Chen had become natural enemies. But this time she had to make things right!
Giving her brightest smile, she started speaking, "Senior, do you need anything from me?" Wen Chen took her words as mocking and scoffed, "Yuo Shu Ling, if it wasn't for Shu Hui I wouldn't even have came down to see you!"
Shu Ling tilted her head to the side with a smile that spelt confusion. Wen Chen once again scoffed, "Shu Ling you can stop pretending! First you ignore Shu Ling and hurt her feelings, Second you pretend not to know what you did?! Shu Ling you really deserve an oscar award!"
What Wen Chen said had attracted the attention of everyone in the lecture hall.
"Gosh! She really is too much!"
"She is a spoiled brat after all..."
"Hah! And I thought that she had learnt to become humble!"
"Yeah! I thought that too! I guess the clothes she wore was just all for show wasn't it?"
Wen Chen along with her loyal dogs, smugly raised their chin. "So Yuo Shu Ling, what do you have to say for yourself? Shouldn't you go right now and apologise to Shu Hui after what you did-"
The door was slammed open and everyone was surprised to see Shu Hui standing there. 'Ah the star of the show has finally come, since she is already on Shu Hui's side, there is no point in being nice to Wen Chen.
Shu Hui looked like a frail and petite woman who had been bullied with her tear stained eyes. As soon as she saw Wen Chen, she immediately ran towards her and blocked Wen Chen's view of Shu Ling.
"Wen Chen, it's okay i'm fine...hicc...she doesn't need to apologise like normally..." In everyone's view, Shu Hui was the princess who had been tortured by Shu Ling the evil witch. Wen Chen furrowed her brows, "Shu Hui are you saying that she has done this more than once?" Shu Hui silently looked down onto the floor. It looked as if she was threatened to not speak by Shu Ling.
Wen Chen who was immediately fired up shouted, "Yuo Shu Ling how can you-!" Before she could finish she was cut off by Shu Ling who had not been able to talk for awhile now. "First of all do you know what she talked to me about?"Her calm demeanour scared not only Shu Hui but Wen Chen. "She took sides with one of the people I hated the most. Say,as an older sister is it fitting for her to do that?"
Shu Hui, feeling threatened immediately spoke up, "But I was talking about your fiancé..." Her eyes were big and round making almost everyone feel sorry for her except for one. "Ah so it's an arranged marriage for the second child of the Yuo family? Why not the first child?" A mocking voice had came from the door.
Everyone turned their direction towards the owner of the voice, it was none other then...Long Luo Chen! His face, although calm, was obviously cold and aloof. He crossed his hands as he looked at the group indifferently. Shu Hui, surprised by his sudden intrusion peaked at him from afar. Wen Chen who had liked him for so long felt her heart racing at his face, it was youthful and gentle. Meanwhile, Shu Hui suddenly felt flustered with her heart pounding.
At the words of Luo Chen, the on lookers immediately fell into deep silence, since everyone of them was from a well off family, they knew the struggles of arranged marriages. It didn't matter if you were sad or had a strong objection to it, you would still have to do it anyway. Wasn't Shu Hui too insensitive?!
"Ah so she pretended to cry?"
"Psh! She doesn't even know the struggles how can she cry?!"
"She's too emotional...she's not my type anymore..."
The comments, especially the last comment irked Shu Hui but she controlled her anger and changed her tone of her voice to one a white lotus would use."Ah Brother Luo Chen, it's not like that..." Wen Chen immediately glared at her, 'What right does she have to call him that? I stood up for her and this is what I get?!'
Wen Chen immediately pursed her lips looking down, "Brother Luo Chen...I just wanted to stand up for Shu Hui...I really didn't know..." She trailed off. Luo Chen ignored her words and handed her a file. "Here. Teacher Zhou wanted me to hand you this." He then walked off leaving the lecture hall.
As soon as he left, Shu Hui immediately turned to Wen Chen. "Wen Chen I...really...." But she was immediately cut off as Wen Chen silently walked out with the others following her, leaving Shu Hui to chase her from behind.
Shu Ling turned her head back to her phone and made a reminder to thank Luo Chen for what he had done. Suddenly a girl with braids and fringe came seating next to her. Shu Ling turned to her, surprised to see someone sitting next to her. "Hi! You were so cool just now! I'm new here! I'm called Xing Jing!"
