Chapter 13 - Kakariko Village

Upon entering there was a small open wooden wall and a soldier standing next to it who apparently had a clock, although Link did not see it, because he knew the time. The soldier told him that Impa had opened the town to everyone and even if it did not have many inhabitants, one day Kakariko would be as full of life as the citadel of Hyrule. He told her that there were stairs to the left to get to the path to Death Mountain, although he would need a royal clearance.

Now Link understood why Zelda had given him the letter, to continue his adventure on Death Mountain, and perhaps for more. Still, he wanted to visit the town a bit as night fell. The first thing he saw was a hen running near the entrance. Then a small tree with a laughing man under it. There were many very large houses, and at the end a windmill.

Apart from this man, he had not seen anyone except some other men running very effeminate but apparently builders. He saw more chickens and their owner, a little hysterical because he couldn't catch them. The mill attracted him a lot and he was already heading towards it when a sign caught his attention. Before reaching the mill, on the right, just in the southeast of the village there was a path that led to the Kakariko Cemetery, so Link headed towards it.
