The Omega scouting party was near the Cree border before the battles began in the harpies forest. Once the battles broke out the men knew they found the correct spot as the mage they brought with them could sense the release of the first harpy. Knowing they found the correct spot they dropped the beacon and quickly dripped blood into it.
"Let's press forward find where they call home."
Alexias was now deep into the forest. There he found a shelter wrapped in animal hide. A massive graveyard was found dug into the earth. After seeing this his mind began racing. They must have been hunting here for a long time, but only recently went for the villages. A massive hoard of furs, gold, and weapons was organized in a cave. He couldn't help but wonder how this many people could be abducted without them hearing about it. From the look of the items found in the cave, Alexias came to the conclusion they focused on Danes who came out here for resources.
"The amount of bodies here is insane. Those final harpies are probably very powerful." Alexias broadcasted mentally.
After she traveled through the woods for about ten minutes Astrid found Akando and looked around for the harpy.
"Where did she go?" Astrid asked.
"See that pile of ashes over there," Akando replied.
"Our two are down, but they were not strong enough considering how many corpses you found at their camp. Something doesn't feel right. Be careful fighting that last one." Astrid broadcasted.
"Everyone head for Sven's group as soon as possible," Mika ordered.
Sven was exchanging blows with the harpy. Her claws were sharp enough for only shallow cuts. So he had an advantage. The woman thrust her hand forward attempting to sever tendons in his arm. He dodged it and grabbed her arm to throw her in the air. The harpy smiled instantly using that moment to awaken. After transforming the wind immediately started to pick up, and the sky darkened. Sven launched a massive fireball trying to hit her mid-air. She dove down with immense speed flying past it, and Sven as a big cut opened across his chest. Sven didn't let this faze him as he turned around launching a barrage of smaller fireballs. The harpy was very agile and dodged them with ease as she flew back up in the air. The barrage continued causing her to keep moving.
Kimi was watching nearby. She wanted to help Sven, but they fought so fast. That she didn't have the confidence to intervene worried that she could hurt Sven by accident. So Kimi watched on waiting for a moment she could be useful.
The harpy nose-dived in a spiral as a cyclone was quickly formed. She then flew out of it forcing it forward it towards Sven. He was concerned for Kimi so he guided it away from her. Doing this cornered him between the barrier, and the cyclone. The harpy began laughing as she launched a barrage of wind attacks increasing the force of the winds. Kimi was running towards Sven wanting to help.
Sven had no plans to fall today. For if he did Kimi could die, and with this in mind, he took a deep breath. Remembering a voice once tell him to focus it at one point, and explode. As the cataphoric winds began engulfing him, he roared as his body quickly covered in scales. He was both amazed, and disappointed. He was expecting wings, a tail, and more of the dragon he heard about. Maybe he did something wrong in the process, but it didn't discourage him. For now, the wind was nothin to him. His claws were sharper, and there was a surge of strength flowing through Sven. He walked out of the storm without a scratch, and immediately charged the harpy.
Kimi saw him leap out of the storm and knowing he was okay immediately wanted to add support. Something suddenly broke the barrier, and Kimi froze. Instead of engaging, she seemed to be looking around for the culprit. For something to destroy her barrier that quickly made her uneasy.
The harpy continued a barrage of wind blades at Sven, but he shrugged them off with ease. Sven launched a massive fireball into the sky, and it was rapidly expanding. Causing the harpy to only have one course of action to avoid it. The harpy dove to the ground. Sven wanted to try something new, and when he prepared his next attack he followed Mikom's advice. To focus on another element, and in his mind he visualized Helga. A move he learned very well through numerous angry encounters. He opened his mouth as an intense wind blast launched towards the harpy's chest. The harpy saw the wind and believed she could stop it. The force was too powerful to halt. It hit her point-blank sending her flying back with immense force. The pressure was causing her wings to tear up, and her body was severely damaged internally. She rapidly reverted back into human form.
Sven held back a little intending to not obliterate her since he wasn't sure if he could cultivate the essence that way. As he was walking in the woman got up, and began retreating back slowly. Her speed was way too sluggish to getaway. Suddenly an immense aura swept over the area.
"Where are you going Sofia?" A tall domineering man demanded.
The man was almost seven feet tall, had short jet black hair, tan-skinned, and green eyes. The man had an intense killing aura. Sven didn't even notice him show up. Instead of charging in, he went towards Kimi. He felt a chill in his spine making him uneasy. This man was clearly dangerous, and he wanted to be standing between them.
"Lord Acrisius, I was just about to keep fighting I swear! Now that you're here we can kill them together. The one with gold scales is very powerful, and will surely be a great meal." Sofia said as she kneeled down before him.
"You failed me. I take care of you for the past century, and this is the devotion you show me." Acrisius said as he quickly lifted her up from the ground by her throat. While holding her he ripped her arm off tossing it away.
"Please give me another chance! " Sofia pleaded.
Sven knew this was the enemy but still didn't wish to see this cruelty. He took a deep breath wanting to obliterate the two of them. A massive steady stream of fire roared across the ground engulfing the two of them. When the fire cleared the man was gone.
"That fire actually hurt. I know you have friends around so I'm gonna end this now." Acrisius said as he walked out of the trees.
Sven saw him barely scratched from the attack, and realized how far away he appeared. His speed and endurance were something he never witnessed before. Acrisius began emitting a powerful aura before transforming. His legs grew thick fur, his feet resembled the hooves of a goat, his torso was covered in tan fur, and his head resembled a lion. A thick black mane covered his neck, and two large spiraling horns were protruding from his temples. A large black serpent was his tail it immediately stared down at Sven, and Kimi with cold black eyes. The claws on his hands were diamond-sharp, and all his muscles were enlarged. He then roared as he returned a similar blast as Sven's. It was roaring across the ground towards Sven and Kimi.
