"Kimi run!" Sven yelled as he places both his hands out.
Kimi understood how dire the situation was, and took off to the side. As Sven was sliding back holding the blast at bay. Kimi reaches a hand out pulling all the water from the pond. It rapidly condensed into a giant sphere as she launched it at the base of the attack hoping to interrupt the chimera. A massive amount of steam began to form as soon as it connected. Praxis dropped down to all fours gripping his front claws into the dirt, as he launched forward with his back legs. His horns pierced into Sven's stomach instantly causing a massive shockwave knocking Kimi back.
Sven endures the hit but had a giant crack in the armor of his stomach. Blood was running down his mouth, but he planted his feet into the ground. Sven then grabbed the man by his horns tossing him into the air as he launched a wind blast knocking him away. Sven wasted no time as he took off to check on Kimi. She had flown into the forest. Luckily for her, she landed on some dense moss growing on the side of a hill. Only receiving some cuts from flying through the branches, and left slightly disoriented.
Sven's body was starting to feel the immense strain from maintaining the scales. After launching so many attacks, and enduring lots of damage he was gonna need to recover. Sven knew if he couldn't keep his scales on it would be over quickly with an opponent so dangerous. The aura of Acrisius was rapidly closing in on their location. Helga was the closest one to Sven but even she was still a few minutes away. As soon as the chimera caught up he was furious. He immediately began jumping between the trees circling Sven. He was bouncing between the trees gaining speed, and momentum rapidly. The trees around them began shattering from the impact of each jump.
"Your biggest weakness is you brought someone to protect!" Acrisius yelled as he launched towards Kimi like a rocket.
Sven remembered Bethany dying without him being able to stop it. He then jumped in to throw her away. His stomach was pierced, and his scales were shattered. Acrisius lifted Sven with his horns before slamming him into the ground. His tail immediately took the chance to bite Sven by his neck injecting a vast amount of venom. Sven had a high resistance to venoms due to being a dragon. However, Acrisius was very old and powerful it was causing Sven to have trouble moving.
Kimi saw this in slow motion as a series of flashbacks happened. She remembered her mother dying from sickness, and not being able to help her. Being taken in by chief Mikom, and taught the ways of cultivating. They became close like a family as he raised Kimi like his own child. Even though everyone treated her nicely in the village it was only because her stepfather was the chief. Since Kimi had problems talking to others most found her to be an odd child. So she spent all her time cultivating and being out in nature. In a village so big, and with Mikom having so many duties she didn't see him much anymore besides training. In a town filled with people from all around the world, she was alone. Then Nadia came along, and she had her first friend. However Nadia spent most of her time looking for a man, and whenever Kimi would go in the forest it would usually be alone. In the last ten years of her life since her mother died, she hasn't had many good memories. Then she recalled that day in the forest with Sven. Talking with him, and playing together in the forest with the wolves. The smile on his face as he spoke to her. Was that the last time she would see it?
Kimi slammed her fist together as the tattoos glow immensely. Quickly a concentrated beam was forming where her fist met. A high pitched ringing could be heard throughout the forest. Acrisius felt an immense power being gathered and looked over in disbelief. For a human to be able to condense this much magic into an attack made him uneasy. He immediately tossed Sven to the side as he charged her, but the beam fired. Acrisius attempted to dodge causing the blast to disintegrate his left arm and shoulder. He continued charging ahead as his arm was slowly reforming. Acrisius has been devouring life around the world for over five hundred years his regeneration was astounding. Kimi's arms continued to glow as she flicks her fingers up as the earth rumbles, and forms a massive spike piercing into his chest. Quickly turning her hand outwards the spike launched him away rapidly. She wanted to get him away from Sven and immediately gave chase.
She spent all her time in nature, and most nights would sleep in the woods. Absorbing lunar energy was very easy for her. Kimi is a prodigy in the magic world, when she was sixteen she was already a level magic-user. A few laters she broke through to the pinnacle. Up to this point, she only used her abilities for healing and helping those in the sanctuary. She no longer needed chants for average magic.
Sven has finally circulated the venom enough to move slowly and was trying to catch up. Kimi reached the clearing they first fought in, and Acrisius was already charging back towards them. Kimi places her hand outward as a powerful wind surrounded Acrisius. Squeezing her hand tightly it condensed into a sphere around him trapping him. The area inside was quickly void of oxygen. Acrisius was struggling violently, and Kimi was straining to keep him contained. Sven arrived next to Kimi and immediately gathered as much energy as he could to recreate his fire blast from earlier.
When it made contact with Kimi's attack he began to burn violently inside before it rapidly exploded. Kimi and Sven were both catching their breath thinking it was over, but when the dust cleared he was covered in wounds momentarily. It was healing rapidly, and he was now charging at them once again. This man was truly relentless. Could nothing stop him? Sven ran forward to engage the enemy.
While Sven was dodging, and trying to stay alive. Kimi rapidly began a spell, and as she was chanting she formed ten daggers of light from her tattoos. Her next attack would be her last, and she can't afford to miss so holding him in place was the only way. The blades launched into the air as they began falling around Sven. The daggers flew up from the ground launching into Acrisius. As soon as they pierced his skin chains shot into the ground binding him tightly.
"This won't hold me, and you know it. Just surrender now, and I'll make it a quick death." Acrisius taunted while struggling to be free.
