"What are you going to do?" Toma asked trying to get close to Kiro's ear. Kiro watched as Leda readied her things. He had already told her he didn't have a home and she took it as he was a traveller which better suited her needs.
"I don't know, Toma. I guess we can actually become travellers. I'd like to see more of this world." Kiro looked up as Leda walked over.
"I'm ready." Leda looked determined, but in a cute way. He was having a hard time seeing her as a warrior and not a... Kiro shook his head to clear his mind.
"Okay. We'll head back to the town for now and see what they have." Kiro tied the sword to his belt and finally realized just how out of place he looked. He was still wearing his business suit complete with tie. The looks he kept getting made sense now. He made his mind up to find a way to get better clothes for the area.
Leda walked through the forrest with ease, though it was her home. Kiro barely could keep up with the girl. As they walked, Kiro kept recognizing different plant life and not others. What he knew, he picked and brought with him hoping to barter later and what he didn't, he steered clear of. Never know with fantasy plants.
"Amazing." Leda breathed gawking at the town.
"It can be." Kiro took the lead as they headed into town, but he didn't get far before he heard a familiar voice.
"Kiro!" Elise ran as fast as her legs could carry her plowing into Kiro. "I'm so glad you're okay!"
"Me too." Kiro had to admit, if he was going to hit the ground, having a beautiful woman on top was always a plus.
"Is this your wife?" Leda's voice brought Kiro back from dream land with a deep blush.
"W-what?! N-no. Her mother asked me to find her in the forest." Kiro explained standing up and helping Elise to her feet.
"Oh! Mama wanted to thank you. You have to come over. Normally, I don't need saving in the forest, but with what happened..." Elise trailed off and stared at Leda for a solid minute. "Are you a wolfkin?"
"I am Leda, Child of Thannon." Leda gave a stern tribal bow. Kiro knew she was a warrior but this side of her was different. She always seemed cute to him.
"Um..." Elise looked from Leda to Kiro. He realised the confusion and explained as they headed to Elise's home.
"I see. Is that the blade?" Elise asked pointing to the sword at Kiro's side.
"Yeah. It was really nice of them to be honest." Kiro smiled at Leda as he followed Elise into her home.
"Mama! I found Kiro!" Elise yelled out.
"Ah! You are alive! I've been asking everyone to help me find the boy in the strange black clothes." Elise's mom hugged him making him feel a little awkward. "Come on in and have a seat. Dinner's almost done."
"That reminds me!" Kiro reached into his bag and pulled out some peppers he'd found on the way.
"Goddess devine!" Elise grabbed the pepper and hugged Kiro tightly. Kiro's blush could be seen to his ears. Elise skipped into the kitchen.
"You like her." Leda stated smiling slightly.
"What's not to like." Kiro said honestly. Kiro jumped slightly as Toma began sucking on his ear.
"Here we go." Elise and her mom came into the room carrying treys of food.
Kiro and Leda ate with Elise and her mom and stood up to leave.
"Before you go, take this with you." The old lady pulled out a small pouch of coins.
"You don't ha-"
"Don't even start trying get out of your payment. We had a deal and Elise is now safe at home. I pay my depts." Kiro couldn't fight back so accepted the payment.
"Thank you, Madam." Kiro smiled at the older woman as he left the house.
"Kiro, wait!" Elise came running out of the house. "Where are you heading next?"
"Don't know yet. I'll probably stay at an inn somewhere and start travelling." Kiro was surprised as Elise gave him another hug. Three in one day, Kiro was getting worried his luck was going to change.
Kiro and Leda said good bye and went to find an inn. And maybe some clothes.
