Chapter 14 - Lethalos

"So this is Harverest." Kiro said looking around the small town. It was smaller than Elise's city but bigger than a villiage. The people were friendly and Kiro noticed many different races like Leda and Ramses.

"So many different people..." Kiro said under his breath.

"That's normal in a town like Harverest. Many people come here for trade. Not to mention the main help post and the Hunter's guild. People come looking for help or to help others." Elise explained as they walked through the town.

"What's that?" Kiro asked looking at a brightly colored purple building with gold and silver statues he'd never seen before.

"That's the Church of the Lost. It was built to prey for those who were never found or seen again. Many people go there to prey for their missing family members in hope that Lethalos will find them and guide them home." Elise bowed toward the church very serenely.

"Do you know someone who is missing?" Kiro asked putting his hand on her shoulder. Elise looked up at him with tears at the edge of her eyes. Without thinking, Kiro pulled her into his arms.

"My father left to finish a trade in Tresla, but never came back. Acording to Tresla's mayor, he never showed up." Elise had buried her head into Kiro's chest. Toma reached a paw down to pat her head.

"I hope you see him again someday." Kiro whispered solemnly.

"That's the main help post!" Toma jumped off of Kiro's shoulder and ran over to a huge building with white and blue flags hanging from the top.

"He's right. Let's go." Elise calmed herself and left after Toma.

"My mother was a lost one for two years until Lethalos brought her home to us. I know her pain." Leda walked after them as Kiro wondered how many gods they had here and what all they did.

The inside was just as big with many floors all filled with people. Signs hung all over the place to guide people to the right area and Kiro was trying to read them when he bumped into something.

"What where you're going!" A tiny girl huffed glaring up at Kiro.

"I'm sorry. I'll be more careful." Kiro bowed politely and tried to find his friends in the crowd.

"Who are you looking for?" The small girl asked with a frown on her face and tiny hands on her hips.

My friends came with me and went ahead of me but only just a little. I thought they'd be nearby, but I dont see them. If anything, I though Toma would be easy to spot. He's a white fox." Kiro explained.

"Well, I'm looking for my dad. Can't miss him. He's really tall and skinny with purple hair and bright green eyes. I'm not tall enought to see over the crowd though." The girl looked at Kiro expectantly. "Well?"

"What?" Kiro tried to see the man she described but didn't see anyone.

"Pick me up and put me on your shoulders. I could see over the crowd then." The girl huffed.
