The clerk put out 2 different types of arrows, one that seemed to be q normal arrow but was quiet pretty, it had various runes on the wooden shaft making it seem strong, the other arrow was had a shaft that was dark brown almost ebony color while the tip was glowing red!
'I've never seen such a pretty arrow in my life.... actually ive never seen anything that pretty' Kajus exclaimed in his mind while a look of adoration was shown on his face.
"how much for the red one?"
"5 gold coins for the red one which are called spark arrows, and for the other one is 1 gold coin, the arrow worth 1 gold is called a run arrow"
"What are their effects?" Kajus inquired
"The spark arrow will unleash a small but bright spark of flame when penetrated, burning the insides of your foes and cauterizing their wound if they are unlucky enough to survive, the wound would become 10 times harder to heal using magic and potions"
"as for the rune arrow well i never seen it used it was made by a local enchanter actually, the first enchanter who has arrived in Dalelry for decade! The note i got with the arrows said that they could penetrate anything worn by orcs or man and that the tips where incredibly sharp"
Kajus thought for a minute, he didn't have infinite money after all and he wanted to buy a halberd as well. BUT he was a little to attracted to shiny objects.
" One spark arrow and one rune arrow then please"
The clerk smiling put the two arrow in a small container with the potions and the manual, he put the container on a table and started to scribble on a note.
He straightened his back and asked for 8 gold coins which Kajus gave him in an elated hand gesture, it seemed like he couldn't wait to get his hands on his wares. When the 8 golden coins reached the clerks hand he brought out the biggest smile he could muster, they bade each other farewell with happy smiles on both persons.
With 2 golden coins left he went to the weapons shop one tent over, when he got in he met the face of Geoff and Aron who was window shopping.
"Glad to see the two of you here!"
"mm yes" they both begrudgingly muttered out.
"well we where just leaving, hope you find something that suits you" Aron said dejectedly
The two left the tent and he was left alone with several weapons in front of him, again a clerk came up to him.
"If you don't got the coin beat it!"
Kajus didn't really know how to respond.
"I am looking for an halberd sir"
The clerk seemed a little happier now for some reason, maybe because Kajus didn't leave and that showed that he had coin or maybe it was the container he held which held his insignia.
"well we have a couple, can I know your budget?"
" 2 gold coins sir"
They clerks face became really happy hearing that and he quickly ran off. The clerk came back 15 seconds later with two weapons, 1 in his right and 1 in his left, they where both very long so Kajus got a little worried that the clerk was going to poke out his eyes or accidentally fall and gut him.
The clerk put the two halberds onto the table so that Kajus could inspect the closer.
They where in two different colors none of them shone but they still looked stunning. the one nearest to him had a grey handle and shaft looking very fresh and clean, the axe tip was traditional with a stunning steel with runes on them. The one further away from him was not really an halberd it didn't have a axe tip with a spear running trough it, it had a blade at the top, it looked very modern and sleek.
" I know what you are thinking, the other one isn't really a halberd, its called a glaive its the same length of about 1.78 cm total so its still a pole arm."
The "glaive" had a very dark ebony shaft with a leather handle that was even darker. the blade at the top had a shiny look to it, it was very well crafted.
"The halberd is enchanted with runes, its actually locally enchanted if you would believe it from Dalelry! A new enchanter apparently, the first in decades!"
"I see, what about the so called glaive?"
"Its hard not to call it magical but its not enchanted, the craftwork that went into it is apparent by its looks and do please pick it up I implore you to" The clerk said in a prideful manner
Kajus picked it up and gave it a swing, shock and awe was the only emotions that came out, the clerk had a smug smile on while he made a face.
'This glaive is incredibly light and so easy to swing with, it feels like I am swinging around a birds feather'
"how much?"
"2 gold" the clerk said calmly.
'Its my last of my coins but I am going to battle and who knows if I will ever find such a masterpiece ever again! Yes i cant be picky now, food costs nothing and water is provided I am not in need of coin!'
"I will take it!" Said loudly and with certainty
The clerk received the two coins and bid his customer farewell.
