Chapter 32 - The True Vampire Bride Ch 8 Part 2

Tsubasa Endo: "I am having a hard time with that statement just now. You want to bring some of our relations here to raise as vampires would raise?"

Kaida Endo: "It is not that I want to. It is the only logical option at this point. There are five of you and only one of me. To keep me from having to be shared that much, I will have to bring in our relatives. It is the only way. And it would ensure more pure bloods born if there is more than me to do so. How is that not obvious?"

Tsubasa Endo: (Raising his hands mockingly in defeat…) "I just did not expect that out of you is all. But I do understand the selfish nature we possess a little better. I can understand why you do not want to be shared that much. Cause I do not want to share you with any of them."

Kaida Endo: "I am more than aware. As for the purest of bloodlines, I will have no choice but to be married to you and Botan. That is the only way to ensure a proper rule."

Raising his eyebrow to this statement. He could only give that same devilish smirk that comes out every time the vampire takes hold. Only thing left to do was discuss with Botan and the others about bringing more of their family members to the mansion. These discussions would be talked about for a while to come. Finally, an agreement had been settled upon concerning the issue of bringing in more of their family bloodline. It was decided that to start off with, they would bring in two more females. They would have to make their way to the village to find out if any of their siblings had children. And they would need to choose the ones with some kind of power present to start off. Unsure of how the chief would take this, Kaida was uneasy about the decision she had come to.

Though things kept going smoothly as far as their land was concerned and the people in their care, there had been no more incidents of outsider lords coming into their area. At present, there was no need to worry as hard. Hopefully, them keeping the patrols heavy along their borders were keeping any others at bay. Kaida was already upset enough that she had to destroy nine lords between the two incidents already. And countless numbers of their underlings, she did not want to have to destroy any more if she could help it. Botan and the other lords finally came to an understanding concerning how and when to bring in a few more members of their family members. They also agreed with her feeling in hoping that the village chief would not be too upset about the concept. The lessors still plagued all areas after all. They were coming in from all over, there was no telling just how many lords were as stupid as those outsiders were. With that threat still in place, the chief maybe more understanding to the situation at hand. Besides, Kaida clearly needed the assist. When she is down for days, there may be things that other female members could tend to when she was down.

Another two years had now passed. The routines they had grown accustomed to, now so ingrained, as well as the vampire way of life. Weekly visits to the city were still put in place as they went around checking the welfare of the people in their care. No longer were Kaida and Tsubasa looked at like some strange foreign objects and were greeted with smiles every time they came. Kaida stayed true to her word and kept the clinic stocked constantly with all the medicines they could ever need as well as helped the sick when she could. Tsubasa had finally learned to forge weapons in the new style and helped the smith when he came into town with everyone. A clear routine could be seen by all, and the people were grateful. They even helped to perfect better ways of keeping the flatlands from flooding when it rained. With everyone thriving, there was no need to go sparingly on the food stores. Each crop yielded plenty. It was then decided that the Kaida, Tsubasa, and the lords would head toward their old village with a fresh supply run and children that could not be placed with families within the city. They always made that an option before resorting to the village.

With the day set, they loaded up all the supplies and the wagon load of children. This time Kaida would be going along with all the lords, Tsubasa included. The only thought in Kaida's mind, "it has been almost eight years now since we left, I wonder how everyone is doing?" She kept a semi-serious look on her face for most of the trip. It took ten days to get to Botan's place that first trip. With a heavy load it will take a little bit more. Figuring in two or three extra days for the weight of it all. Kaida passed her time helping to tend to the children with the nannies they had brought with them. Kaida was incredibly happy that they would volunteer their time. Thankfully, their village had become accustomed to seeing their banner and opened the gates with open arms. Bringing in their load, they rode up to the storehouse that they had helped to build with the essential supplies. Getting those things taken care off, Kaida and Tsubasa went with the wagon of children to the Chief's home. Getting out of the carriage, Tsubasa walked around and helped Kaida out.

Coming out of the home, the Chief looked on with a smile. Uncertain as to why Kaida and Tsubasa were here as well. The Chief did not exactly know how to take it, his only thought, "did something bad happen?" He looked on with concern, till Tsubasa and Kaida turned around, then a smile adorned his face.

Village Chief: "I must say, I did not expect to see you two come on one of these deliveries. It is quite the surprise indeed. Is there some sort of problem that you had to come yourselves?"

Kaida Endo: "No nothing like that. The other lords are here as well. We have a matter to discuss with you. We all came to see if we could come to an understanding. It concerns our family still."

Village Chief: "I thought the matter was settled. That is why you two went the first time. What could you guys still need concerning that?"

Kaida Endo: "If it is alright with you, Chief, could we please go inside to discuss this matter while the children and supplies are getting taken care of. I would not have come with them if it were not important."

Village Chief: "You are right. I forget how straight forward you are. Please, let us go inside and have a seat."

Tsubasa Endo: "Thank you very much. We assure you; we do not plan to take up too much of your time. In the last seven years or so we have dispatched nine lost vampire lords and a bunch of underlings. So, we have been quite busy getting a handle on the problem."

A look of shock plastered the Chief's face as he heard the number of vampires they have already dealt with. Reaching into the carriage, Tsubasa picked up several large smoked bottles and placed them inside a large side pouch he carried. Rounding the corner, Botan and the other three lords rounded the backside of the carriage. Noticing that Tsubasa had already taken care of their refreshments, they followed everyone up the few stairs to the Chief's home. Entering, he directed them to all have a seat at the meeting table. Bowing lightly to the Chief, Kaida thanked him and walked to one of the sides that had at least five cushions aligning them. Kneeling down, she sat on the middle one as Tsubasa and Botan sat on either side of her. The Chief look puzzled briefly as he seen this arrangement, wondering what was going on with it, but decided not to ask on it. He knew the ways of vampires were different. Once everyone was seated, Tsubasa placed the two bottles on the table in from of them. He then took out several cups made of red fired clay. Pouring himself and the others a full glass. The Chief and the other village heads finally joined after a few minutes. Taking their places, they all sat around the table to begin their talks as a house servant poured tea for them.

Village Chief: "So what is it that you wanted to discuss. If you all came together, it must be important."

Botan Date: "Yes you could say that. We would not even bring this up to you all if it were not for the important fact that they are the main family involved. I also know for a fact that their five remaining siblings, at least three of them should be married by now with children of their own."
